After struggling through just two years of concentrated misery, and eight of slow, agonizing descent before that, Sayo has to agree with Ange. The torture she inflicted on this girl, even after her death, was far, far worse.
She stands silent as Ange barrages her accusations—less accusation than truth, really—not even looking angry or sad or even chagrined, just... exhausted.]
...I'll leave, then. I've already made arrangements.
Don't worry. You'll never see me again if I can help it.
[A pause, as she turns.]
I'm sorry.
It doesn't matter. That doesn't fix anything. And you deserve to hate me more for it.
But I'm sorry.

Even the apology doesn't help.
Because Sayo is right - it doesn't fix anything. An apology doesn't bring back her dead family. An apology doesn't bring back the life she was supposed to have. And while there were moments where Ange would have died just to hear anyone say sorry to her, right now her feelings are too much to really think about it.
So Ange doesn't say anything. She just turns away from Sayo, hands balled up into fists at her sides, faintly shaking. Her head drops forward a little, desperate to try and hide the tears that are forming in her eyes out of anger and pain.
At first it seems like she'll linger, but then she just fully turns to leave the room without saying another word, trying to find a spot in the house to be by herself - like even staying in the same space as the other for another moment is too much. ]
