cw: mention of insect body horror

( He doesn't mind touching the slime. Not on the surface levels, at least; this place and his own Blood have brought out strange and horrifying new symptoms of his own brand of demonic possession. He.... sometimes throws up ants now. They spill up and out of him like a flood of sand, tiny and black and frantic (Luna won't let him kill them, uses her magic to make them safely go.) That's a thing that happens. It's disgusting and horrific and that's just his fucking life now.

...On the deeper levels, the slime does worry him in terms of touching it, but again — that's because of Paimon, whose reactions Peter still isn't sure of when it comes to Falco. The demon hasn't really made a direct appearance since the young boy has been staying here. He's probably waiting, watching. Curious, as always, to learn. Peter just hopes he stays curious, and not aggressive. )

It's not as bad as it used to be, but... it does sometimes, yeah. ( He answers quietly, voice soft; it's not something Peter really talks about aloud, one of the many things. ) When it first started happening, back home, I didn't.... know. What was going on with me. I just thought I was going crazy or something. Seeing stuff that wasn't there.

Then when I found out what he was, I didn't look in a mirror for like a whole year. I was too scared I'd see him instead of me. ( The demon. Peter hadn't known its name for a long time, either. It was just... the thing, the other. )

...But I had someone who helped me do it, sometimes. Her name was Henry. I lived with her back then. Um— she'd stand beside me and help me look at myself. She helped me learn some ways to find myself if I felt like I was getting lost.

( Peter pauses, hesitates. He doesn't want to ask Falco to do something that scares him, to force him to look into one of those mirrors and face what he'll see. But isn't it his place to help, if he can...? That's what he vowed to do. Still, it's very tenderly as he suggests it; there's not an ounce to Peter's tone to suggest Falco has to— )

I could show you too, if you want.
