For Luz's part, she was just happy to actually spend a moment doing a relaxed, teenagery thing to do right now. No looking out for some new kind of monster lurking around, or chores to do. Just having snacks and talking to a friend! Who knew those moments actually existed?

Owlbert was flying up to the ceiling now, to find a place to perch. He would probably get some crumbs from Luz later, but right now he wanted to stretch out his wings a moment.

He does give an appreciative chirp in Peter's direction though.
