He had been training with Maul for a few months at least by this point, and there was a definite improvement in how he handled a fight. Luke could already tell he was relying less on skill and more on instinct, easily meeting her blows with a solid defense. She was so enraged by his mere existence that he knew talking wasn’t going to solve anything. Letting her get out her aggression against him while keeping his own head was the best option he had at the moment.
