Luz had promised to stick close by, and that was what she was going to do. If there was something she had come to understand by now, it was that everyone was going through a bit of something. Sometimes it was stuff from back home, sometimes it was things here. Sometimes it was both.

With Chizuru though, Luz could see it was the former: she was sure the girl hadn't been here long enough to have had a proper Trench encounter to secure that though, but she was still taken aback by how heavy it was.

And how, in a way, there was a small similarity of something she felt. Or had, once.

But Luz was focused on her friend now, and as she faltered, Luz took her hand, taking a breath.

"Chizuru. No one is a bother. People are around you because they care about you. Why would you think you only get people killed?"
