Luz knew that the abyss as working its hold on her, and now that she'd been under that sway, she understood how easy it was to only see your own faults. It was as if you only dwelt in that one place, and you do anything but see how small and flawed you were.

And this would have been the very question Luz would have struggled with, in a different way.

"You ARE an important person, to the one that risked their life for you. I've only known you a little while, but I can see how you'd be endearing, and they'd want you to live.
