It wasn't entirely about the hurt she felt knowing that such a secret had been kept from her- it was something of an acceptance. If that was something she didn't want to address, then it wouldn't be addressed.
"Yes, we'd better," she answered carefully as she turned to join them by the board. "I'll get the board."
It didn't matter to her whether they were running or climbing, Sabé would follow suit. But what did matter was the board had joined them here and it could very well be the key to getting them out of here. So as the other two made their decision, she carefully pried the board from its spot among the roots.
