home is where i want to be [open]
Who: amara and some other peeps, also you. yes. you.
What: slime, punching, weird dogs and more!
When: first half of april
Where: it's an open fellers
a. closed to housemates of 69 house
[when amara wakes up in the pitch black of her room and covered in horrible slime, she makes good on her siren namesake and shrieks very loudly. one might be forgiven for thinking she's been hurt by it, but really-- it's just so gross.
then she stops, because it actually doesn't feel that bad when she peels it off her arm. her skin is... so smooth. it smells nice! all the little cuts and scratches she'd had from hunting down the unsnakely and other creatures during her first month in trench are gone and fuck how long has she been asleep?
Yo, who's home?! I need some help, guys! [she calls out, struggling to sit upright with the weight of the drying mucus on her. god, have her muscles atrophied? she needs to start lifting immediately.]
b. closed to ange
[it's with significant distress that amara realises she doesn't know where ange is living. she didn't find out before she fell asleep, and it was right after that conversation she had--
ange gets a somewhat urgent message through her device; amara looking dishevelled and still with bits of mucus in her hair.]
Jaan, where are you? I fucking-- I'm sorry, I didn't avoid you! I fell asleep for... a goddamn month! Shit! Can we talk? Are you willing?
c.
[though it's quite annoying, amara can deal with the dark. xylourgos was shrouded in constant darkness under the unforgiving eclipse that never ended and while it did, admittedly, drive most of its residents to madness, amara and her team were for a long time. she didn't go loopy! well-- not much. thank god for eista keeping her sane with his constant demands for slass. well, that and the cultist killing.
now that she's awake again and despite still wanting to join the hunters and do big monster murder, amara figures she should at least act like the hero she was in partali. she's easy to see in the dark with her glowing tattoos and six ethereal arms branching from her back, all of them carrying several lanterns each. she hands them out to whoever needs them during her "morning" walk, then goes about her daily business. she finds herself needing to work to start building up her weaponry stock before she can even think about getting serious.
amara can be found doing odd jobs through all of trench, from carrying barrels to threading needles. she has worked her way up before, and she will do it again.
her omen follows along behind her without fail, panting happily (that sure is a weird dog) and catching anything she tosses to it with a long, prehensile tongue that comes out of its three-way split face.]
d. blessed are the curious, past
[a gigantic cavern stretches out, stonework dotted around it ancient and beautiful beyond imagination. it is distinctly alien, grey slate lit up with red energy. golden statues stand side by side by a small star-shaped pattern on the ground, a pedestal standing in the middle. a gigantic stone archway - not the one that was used to get here - stands with a shimmering purple surface between the supports.
it's dilapidated, but not dangerously so. this place was a place of reverence, and there are a few white wisps floating around. there is a strong sense that they were once people, but now are nothing. this is still a place of legends, but for different reasons now.
a monstrous beast lays freshly killed by the stone steps, blood pouring out of its many wounds. amara stands next to it, covered in some of the gore, watching the archway shimmer.]
No. Not this time.

The Phasetrance? [ her Siren power? What does any of that even mean? But kaneki shakes his head at the question if he is a fellow space-person ] I'm from Earth. I never been outside Japan, even. [ he feels somewhat sheltered, there are so many people here who have been to other planets and universes... ]
This is my first time, actually. [ and he would rather not be here at all ]

that question gets Kaneki to pause ] Uhm-- I can't really say it's a nice place.
no subject
[she smiles and nudges him.]
But you're standing here, so you're doing well. Believe me, I have seen people cope far worse. Would you like to get some food? I will treat you, as I scared you. It's only polite.
no subject
He isn't tho.
But the mention of food gets him to blink. Ah! Well actually]
Uhm... You wouldn't know where they have coffee instead, would you?
no subject
Hmmm. I think at least one cafe does it. It's not that popular here, for some reason! We can have a look around. I understand needing a good cup.
no subject
Really? I'd appreciate it...! I haven't been able to fin any ever since I arrived. [ he smiles, excited. because A ghoul without coffee is just a depressed sad ghoul really ]

amara picks up the lanterns again, pushing one at kaneki before her spectral arms sprout back out to pick up the rest. she'll find places for them on the way, not like she has much else to do today. tonight? whatever.] You don't have to look far for a civilisation that's worked out how to dry leaves and boil them.
