I kind of wish I'd told him that, but I... think he already knew. [ Sometimes there's a lot in what's not said. Both good and bad, but mostly the good. She didn't feel the need to tell him how she felt, it was already there. Merlin knows she certainly missed her own father — John wouldn't replace him, but he was dad, too. ]

... I think I partly guilted him into giving up smoking, you know. [ It startles a little sound of her, amused despite the sadness in her. Time for a story of her own. ]

When I was only just getting to know him, I'd been turned back into a child thanks to this festival in Deerington. He ended up looking after me for a bit. [ Her lips pursed, a smile curling at the edges. ] And I ended up picking up all of his cigarette ends in his back garden, I think he felt awful about that. Especially when he explained they were bad, and I then didn't want to give them to him when he asked for them.

[ So she... definitely did probably guilt him, really. ]
