[The lack of sunlight definitely isn't great, no. Considering their awful blood sickness last month, and how Ochako barely had the energy or strength to eat, and hold certain foods down, let alone leave their apartment. Going out anywhere more than just a few hundred feet or so was out of the question (though she did it once and paid the price for it after, oops). Needless to say, Ochako's been a bit on the paler sidesince March, and though her color's been returning now that she's healthier...the lack of some good vitamin D is taking its toll on her. Also it's just...depressing. Artificial light can only do so much, and though she's been keeping her spirits high with talking to others, even she has her days.
Like right now, when the air between them feels so forced and tight. But she doesn't know what else to do, Ochako doesn't want to make matters worse! All she wants is her friend's honesty, and his presence back in her life. It feels worse without Bakugou there, those bad days are all the more bad when she can't be near him, or when he's in a foul mood like this. If he wants to be left alone, that's fine, but she just wants to know. She wants him to just talk to her, let her in a little more. Isn't that what they promised each other back in Nippon? So when he slams the doot in her face when she tries to open it up, Ochako's smile drop again with her shoulders and her eyes go to her own food.]
Oh.
[It's quiet a while after that, where she chews her food quietly, not really tasting it, then looks up at the silent curse. Catching the blood more on Bakugou's plate than on her friend's face, her curious gaze follows him and Ochako wonders if he cut himself or something? That doesn't seem like Bakugou, though...he's usually really careful when he cooks. Then her eyes see he's holding his nose and--
A nosebleed? Weird...though it definitely happens if the air is dry. But this doesn't seem like anything simple. Ochako's brow furrows, and she abandons her own meal to turn toward him at the sink. Something is definitely wrong, and she just wants to know what. Wants to know so she can help. She hates that he's been keeping her away when she's a fucking Hero - they both are - and he...he promised! They had their time to do this horseshit before in Nippon--
...Incense. She knows what that means. As Ochako stands suddenly, gripping the back of the chair so hard her palms start to hurt, she takes a deep breath to calm herself down. Her heart is racing, ears ringing, and stomach churning. She remembers how Deku looked, how they had to chase him down to stop him. Why didn't he...she could've--they could have done something!! Idiot...that goddamn idiot.]
So that was it. [It's soft, but in the already hushed air between them, it drops like a bomb. That's why he was avoiding her. She gets it, she does, but it's still stupid as hell. Their presence alone helped Izuku fight back his corruption, why did bakugou think he could face this on his own?! This isn't like Nippon, and even if it was, he still needed her that one time, too. They're in this together, and they always will be.] ...Gimme a sec, hold on.
[And she moves to grabs the box they have in their room, and to just takes a minute to collect herself as well. There are mixed emotions at war. Worry, anger, indignation, sadness...so much. But worst of all, Ochako feels like he still doesn't trust her enough to know he can count on her...and that hurts.]
