Luz knew she was coming in pretty blind, but that wasn't going to stop her from trying. She was going to join Ozpin's academy because she knew Ozpin more than the others, and it at least seemed to be a school that had more of the kind of training she was earnestly looking for.

Still, she hadn't been there as long as some of the others and wanted to get in as much training as she could. She needed to catch up for several reasons, but top of the list was making sure she had a way of defending herself if she was without magic.
