He smiled. Avoiding assumptions was always a good move. However, once the impossible had been ruled out then whatever remained, no matter how improbable, had to be true. Although they were from very different realities, from what he could tell, they had enough of a shared culture to infer that their worlds had at least been cut from the same bolt of cloth.
It was nice, being able to interact with a peer with the same ease that he had around his students.
