A. Too Close for Comfort [May 5th]

[On this day, Scorpia has received a gift, from Bausphomette themselves. A blanket! How nice. She could always use more comfort! On top of that, it helps her realize a few things, that today's her Blessed Day, and Bausphomette is her Patron Ptuhermian. She takes this news well, because from what she's read about the Patrons, Bausphomette sounds like one of her favorites.

She'll carry her blanket around town and cheerily greet others.]

Hey, happy Blessed Day! ...Or, uh, happy My Blessed Day. [A meek wave of her pincer.] Turns out my Patron Pthumerian's Bausphomette, and they gave me a blanket! Pretty neat, huh?

[Or one can find her at a different time. After she's actually put the blanket to use taking a nap, she wanders around town looking very confused... and very different.]

B. Treat Yourself [test drive]

[Scorpia had been on her way towards the shore to take part in a regular occurrence for her. That would be volunteering to help wake up newly-arrived Sleepers. But she quickly found herself distracted by the festivities taking place. It all seemed like some nice, harmless fun, and so she got caught up in the spirit of festivity!

Garbed in white clothing, she makes her way towards a table with a selection of snacks. And she invites someone to join her!]

Hey there! Want to get your snack on? They've got a real good selection here. And a bunch of drinks, too!

[She has some floral spring rolls and a plate full of the flower cookies, all ready to share! After chewing on one of the spring rolls, her scorpion parts will change to be made of wood, while her hair becomes grassier. She seems oblivious to the effects, however! As for the cookies, they might be one way for friendships to reach new heights!]

C. For the Vine [Event: Imposters]

[And sometimes, just going for a simple walk can cause something unexpected to happen. Take into instance today, when Scorpia never noticed a vine that subtly wrapped along her leg and climbed up it, sprouting flowers. She's soon in a condition to not pay it much mind, as she very quickly seems very out of it. She'll greet anyone she meets with a wide grin.]

Hey! How ya doing?! [Be careful, she might come in for a hug!]

Yeah! You know, so what one does with a blanket... sleep with it! I wonder if it'll give me magical dreams or something. That would be so cool!

That makes sense.

Wouldn't you want to wait until it's night time? So you can sleep and test it out then.

[cuddlery]

Well yeah, that's true. That is the designated sleeping time! But also, I feel like I can't wait to see what this is like. So, y'know, it's real tempting to try for a nap or just resting with it for a bit!

[danserai]

That's not a bad idea.

Maybe you need to find the perfect nap spot!

[cuddlery]

I like the way you're thinking, Ahiru! You know, I could always just nap back at my home... but that's not a fun adventure! I'm sure if we look around, we can find some other perfect napping space. Let's do it!

[danserai]

Oh, we're looking right now? Okay!

I'll help you look.

[cuddlery]

Sure, no time like the present! And it'll be a fun friendship activity. Come on, adventure awaits!

[She starts to lead Ahiru in a random direction.]

Do you know where to start?

I do not know! [She responds matter-of-factly.]

Let's see. What, what kind of options are we working with here. There's some alleyways? They look a little too sinister and... not clean. There are some nice benches around, maybe one pf those...?

[danserai]

Benches are good.

Usually, I find a good tree? When I'm a duck, I mean.

[cuddlery]

Ooh, trees! Trees sound great. Some leaves look so fluffy!

[A pause.]

Only problem is, I'm a bit tall so most trees aren't really big enough for me to get comfy with... But now I want to check out a park. They have benches and trees!

[danserai]

No, no, not on top of trees! Under the shade.

[cuddlery]

Ohhhh! [She laughs.] Now that - that does sound a lot more doable. And very cozy! A park is still sounding like our best bet... Let's find the nicest tree we can!

[danserai]

Okay! I'll do my best.

[cuddlery]

I know you will, Ahiru. I couldn't ask for a better nap spot-seeking pal!

[She grins, now with an actual direction to go in, as she heads towards the nearest park.]

We'll have this done before you know it!

[danserai]

[ it's charming to be this excited about a blanket. ]

You must like your gift a lot.

[cuddlery]

I sure do! What's not to like about a blanket? It's nice and comfy... and a good, thoughtful gift. With all the things around here that turn out to be awful or tricks in some way? It's refreshing to get such a nice, straightforward gift from my Patron. I think it's a good sign!

[danserai]

Yeah, I just got a dress but it was very nice. I never received a lot of gifts before coming here.

[cuddlery]

Ooh, a dress. That sounds nice! You can't go wrong with a good outfit. Well I hope you get all kinds of great gifts! May that be the first of many!

[danserai]

Maybe.

[ she's fine without them, but it was nice to be thought of. ]

Did you get lots of gifts at home?

[cuddlery]

Um, well, I guess... not a lot? [She frowns and pokes at her cheek as she thinks it over.]

The Horde wasn't really... big on presents. Sure they're reward us for a job well done, but that was mostly... rank-y stuff. I did get some presents while I was with the princesses, though. Mostly flowers and stuff!

[A beat, and she smiles wisely.]

Then again, you could also say that I've constantly been getting the greatest gift of all time: friendship!

[danserai]

Friendship is a very good gift.

[ something about the horde sounded off but . . . ahiru doesn't know enough to say. ]

And it's nice to be in a place like this, where everyone is kind.

[cuddlery]

[Off is one way of putting it.]

I know, it's so great! And you're living proof of that.

[She smiles warmly at Ahiru - and then looks up as she notices the entrance to a park just ahead.]

Ooh, we're here! Okay, now to look for the best tree for the job!

[danserai]

What kind of tree do you think would work best? I usually like the one with the most leaves so it gives a lot of shade!

[cuddlery]

Well, that's the main thing I was thinking! Shade sounds like one of the most important parts in this. What else? A nice, sturdy trunk that'd be good to rest against... Some healthy grass would be good too, to rest on.

[As they make their way into the park, Scorpia starts examining a few trees, doing things like knocking on the trunks to assess how they feel.]
