( open ) sit down a while and watch the flowers blooming
Who: Frisk and your character!
What: A couple event prompts and one other.
When: During May.
Where: Various places.
a) stay DETERMINED
( Time is strange, especially from the point-of-view of a child. While time seems to have passed rather quickly for Frisk, it also feels as though the days have dragged on since they ended up participating in the game that sent him into the jungle. That had been difficult for them – perhaps one of the more difficult trials that they had gone through.
Since then, they haven't felt like quite themselves. It's been difficult to completely focus on those around them like before, and they're more preoccupied with what they can do. They haven't tested the extent of their powers, and so – that's what they're doing now. It could be something completely minor that Frisk is doing at the moment – having a conversation with someone else, playing a game, purchasing food with the small amount of money that they have. It's then that they use the abilities that they have from home, LOADing in order to go through what they did before. It may feel like a slight shift in the air, a vague tug. No matter what someone feels in response to Frisk going back, their expression remains neutral.
Your character will either feel a feeling of deja vu, or they themselves will realize that time has reversed itself. Frisk will resume what they're doing from before – whether it's holding now unspent money, or going back to a game that they had lost. )
b. self-evaluation
( The changes come quickly, though it's still painful all the same. Long, curved horns grow where they shouldn't be – human teeth are replaced sharp fangs, dirty-brown fur grows where skin once was. There's no hiding the claws that suddenly grow, either – and by the time they're done changing, they no longer resemble a human. Instead, they look far closer to the goat-like monsters that they had met in the Underground at home. Only... there's no denying that they don't quite look as welcoming as those monsters.
They're avoiding looking in the mirrors right now. They know that they're still themselves – there's no denying that, but there's also no denying how scary they actually look right now, too. While it doesn't take them long to gather courage to make their way outside, at one point they can't help but stop. They catch sight of their reflection in one of the nearby shops and quickly look away and make a sharp turn –
Only to run into someone close by. They stumble back for a moment before looking upwards – offering a quiet apology. )
Uhm – sorry.
c. imposters
( The vine appears unexpectedly – appearing in Frisk and Chara's room and tangling itself around Frisk's leg before they have any chance to respond. It latches itself onto them then, and before they realize it, a golden-colored flower begins to blossom on near their right eye. A hand goes to the sudden new, yet vague weight freezing when they feel petals and stem where it shouldn't be.
It feels like a knee-jerk reaction at this point in time, Frisk deciding to try to go back in time and LOAD to the time before the plant had latched onto them – however, it backfires, another flower next to the other. It's something that they try multiple times – attempting to hopefully try to RESET - going even further back in time - instead of LOADing. Though, by the time they give up trying to reverse what's happened, there's a significant number of flowers grown to the point where their vision is obscured.
They'll make their way out of their home after realizing that this is out of their own hands, wanting to find some sort of other solution to their problem. However, their movements are sluggish and careful – hand moving to carefully hold where the flowers had latched themselves. If someone tries to greet them, they'll stop in their steps and slowly look upwards. )

…. Hello?

He's heading out of one of the shops, grocery shopping as per usual, which was always a mixture of genuinely buying things and using his blood power to his advantage to get free things, too...when someone runs into him.
He looks, and--whoa okay that's a little goat person. Kinda weird. But the voice throws him off even more.]
...Frisk-chan? Issat you?
no subject
Their feet shuffle a bit before they nod their head. )
... It's me.
( Despite how they look now, they haven't changed. )
no subject
Then I'm glad to see you. I almost didn't recognize you, but I'd know your voice anywhere.
Are you doing anything right now? I just finished grocery shopping, and I got enough cookies that there's enough for me to share. If you'd be interested?
[It might give him a chance to see what happened to Frisk to make them look like this, too.]
no subject
Are you sure?
( They can't help but ask. Usually, they wouldn't hesitate to spend time with someone, especially a friend -- but, they're also putting Kokichi's feelings first. )

...Hi. [She softly repeats herself before trying to confirm who she's talking to.] Frisk, is that you? ...What's going on?
[In another context, she might have considered the flowers to be an interesting fashion statement! But from the way Frisk is moving around and their vision seems impaired, it feels like something is off about all this.]
no subject
... Uhm. ( They start slowly, quietly. ) A flower attacked me -- and I tried to fix it.
( But, they somehow made it far worse. It feels like the first time that their DETERMINATION has truly backfired on them. )
no subject
...Oh. Yeah, it... I'm sorry, it doesn't look very... very fixed over here. [She steps closer and kneels down to be by their level.]
It must be really bad if there's so many of them! But have no fear, Scorpia is here to help!

[Michael was just trying to go into that shop, actually? Which means that he was definitely already facing in the right direction to see how the kid reacted to their own reflection in the window, specifically. He gets that. There's a reason he's wearing a hooded cloak and sunglasses right now - although hey, he'd kill to just turn into a goat or whatever instead!]
Shitty month, huh? [This is how we speak to kids?]
no subject
Did you change, too?
no subject
[He learned a long time ago that it's easier if you say the thing about yourself before anybody else can. Not that his whole Situation is visible now anyway.]
Yours isn't too bad. I've found that people are very fond of fur. [Less so goats, he thinks? A lot of people expect him to be goat-y just because he's a demon. But hey, look on the bright side!]
no subject
( They hesitate, feet shuffling as they look down. )
She doesn't look scary.
( They wouldn't really want her to see them like this. )
But, I know that -- even if you think you look scary or gross, that doesn't make you a bad person.

And when it finally stops, only then do they reach them, and take sight at what's happened.]
Frisk! [They go to Frisk's side and place a hand against their arm.] What's... what is this?
[...Their first thought, of course, is the flowers that cover their garden, that overrun wherever Chara stays. Their first thought is that perhaps they inflicted it on their partner as well.
* Did you do this?]
no subject
A plant attacked me, and I tried to RESET. ... But, it just made it worse.
( They feel so tired all of the sudden - it's almost as if they're sleep deprived, and their vision is blurred. Just what were these flowers doing...? )
no subject
...Have you tried plucking them out? [They shake their head.] Lay down. I'll see if I can find a remedy.
[Vileblood, historically, has had a healing effect. Do they need to retrieve samples from locals this month? Maybe Winters would have some.]
no subject
They feel like they're a part of me. ( Pulling them out could prove to be as counterproductive as LOADing was.
Though, when Chara asks them to lay down, they can't help but shake their head. )
What if there are more out there?
( It'd be better if Chara had someone watching their back, at least. )
a
But she knows. She saw it back in the jungle, where the situation had been much more pressing. A situation they were in suddenly fading away, only to seemingly have gone back in time. It was their power, Frisk had explained.
She didn't quite imagine it happening like this. After all, there doesn't seem to be any danger around.. or was there danger, and Chizuru just forgot? It just looks like Frisk is over there playing a game.. again, like a few moments ago.
.. like right now?
Chizuru's head feels a little fuzzy again, just like the last time they had used the power, and she can't help but approach the child. ]
Um.. is everything okay..?
[ She assumes the other wouldn't just use the power without a good reason, after all. And the fact that there might be a good reason around to do so is pretty worrying, hence why Chizuru frowns in concern as she looks at them. ]
no subject
They turn at the sound of Chizuru's voice, eyebrows raising in surprise. There weren't many people here at all who would be able to notice Frisk use their powers, but Chizuru must have once again felt the slight shift of time going backwards. )
Yeah. ( They answer quietly. ) I just wanted to try playing the game again.
no subject
[ It's not quite the answer she expected, and in turn Chizuru isn't sure how to feel about it. She's relieved that there's no bigger danger around, especially since she doesn't want Frisk to be in danger in any way, but on the other hand.. It's a little complicated, trying to figure out how she feels about the idea of using a power like that for something so small...
It makes her frown, but not in any angry way. More in a way that makes it seem like Chizuru is thinking really hard over here. ]
Is that only affecting you..?
[ She glances around at the other people who might be around here. This is her main worry. If the power is not impacting Frisk in any negative way, then it should be fine for them to use it. But when it comes to other people.. ]
I mean, um.. Isn't it making other people repeat things again too..?

B.
Imagine, seeing an eight-foot, hulking mass squawk and take a step back when she sees the rather scary-looking goat...creature...thing. That is, until it so softly and politely apologizes. Standing up on her hind legs, Ochako shakes her head and offers a large mitt out toward what she...assumed might actually be a kid. It sounds sort of like a kid, but she's not sure.]
Oh no, it's quite alright!! I know I'm, eheh...a-a bit big right now... Are you okay? You're not hurt at all, ne?
no subject
They can't help but further relax when they hear the familiar-sounding voice, but they tense up a bit again when they realize -- Ochako very likely doesn't recognize them. And, well... they're aware that they're a bit scary to look at right now.
It takes them a moment before they speak. )
... Ochako? Is that you...?
no subject
So, when she lets herself fall to all fours, she nods her head with, uh...as best a smile she can manage with a beak.]
Frisk-kun!! Yeah, it's me! Ehehe...I woke up like this, and I bet you did too, huh? Yours is cool! [Kinda creepy, but that's a bit rude. She was just surprised.] I bet I look super scary, huh? Ah...heh. a lot of people have been running away from me...

b. (BETTER LATE THAN NEVER ;;)
As Frisk bumps into him he utters a gasp and spins around, spear already out and primed for skewering, but one glance at the creature in front of him causes him to relax his stance somewhat. It's not a slavering beast-- he can tell by its expression that it's still in control of its own mind, whatever it was before.
Dito's eyes narrow in chagrined annoyance.]
Might wanna watch where you're going. The next person you crash into might be way twitchier than I am.
HEWWO
They look to the spear, then to Dito once more. )
Are you nervous because you changed?
no subject
[His tone is distracted. What kind of kid stares down the length of a spear with such genuine aplomb? Granted, the only other child he remembers encountering was a dragon, but still. Seems like your average person would at least take a step back when having a very large and dangerous looking weapon shoved in their face.]
In any case, looks like you've got some accoutrements of your own there, kid. Guess you were affected by whatever the heck's going around these days, huh?
