Thanks For Being Born
Who: Jessica Ushiromiya and Sayo Yasuda.
What: Just Gals being Pals
When: Mid-June
Where: Cellar Door
Content Warnings: Umineko spoilers, NSFW eventually
[ After everything is burned down, it can be surprising what one might find in the charred remains. Enough smoke and ash to choke on of course, enough to turn fertile valleys into deserts if Jessica had let it— but she didn't. She found the power to forgive a desperate, despairing girl of her crimes, no matter how heinous they were. She found a friendship and love that survived that furnace heat. She found new shapes for both of them, new paths to walk, and a cornerstone upon which to build what came next.
She and Sayo are leaving a little cafe in Cellar Door, just killing some time before Jessica has to get ready for a show at the Raccoon Room. This hasn't been the first time she's spent time with Sayo since getting back into contact with. They'd spent the last weeks patiently rebuilding their relationship, getting to know each other anew, without the old barriers, and with enough hard-won maturity to work through the new ones. Today feels especially effervescent though. They're really comfortable being around each other again, they'd talked and laughed together over lunch and coffee about music and mystery novels and life.
It's not really the old days, nothing could be, but spending time together like this is a reminder of all the little reasons they were close to each other in the first place. Sayo is more confident now, no longer plays the same roles or deflects so instinctively, but Jessica is thrilled to realize that it's her, it's always been her. So smart, the smartest person she's ever known, sweet but sharp-tongued and mischievous, imaginative, a little spacey, with the sarcasm and bluntness she'd expressed as Kanon. She really sees her now, and the person she sees is... fundamentally the same person, but in sharper relief, more defined by the life and choices that shaped her, the little details she'd never imagined or considered now brought out to the fore. ]
Sheesh, I've gotten so behind on my karate, y'know? But with Chicago coming up, and me still playing shows around town, and the classes in Gaze, I don't really have much time for it.

And here they are. It's just them. Just them. No matter their circumstances, no matter what they had done or not done, this is the Sayo that she'd wanted to see for so long, but had been unable to search for. She feels so familiar. That's not to say that they haven't worked at it, but it was work that she wanted to do, that was as worth the effort as anything she'd ever done in her life.
She's given her Sayo a simple offer. "I want to hear everything you have to say, once you're ready to say it." None of the overwhelming pressure she'd put on her before as Kanon, or all the little moments she had been an overbearing friend, but neither was it her making excuses for her peace of mind.
She still loves her, of course, passionately. But as far as the shape of their relationship goes, she's content to be patient and accept what Sayo feels no matter what. She'd already been willing to accept Sayo's new love, to eventually move on— her new relationship with Himiko was utterly unexpected. It has been wonderful too, but she knows that she and Sayo have very different circumstances, different experiences with love. That's okay. She treasures those feelings regardless, wants to nurture them in the way most appropriate to what they are. For now, then, their interactions are light, casual but affectionate. Testing the waters just a bit, never too far, too fast.
She feels a sympathetic pang at Sayo's reaction to her bringing up Karate, mentally chiding herself for not being able to read the mood regarding that. But Sayo responds, putting their conversation on a parallel path, and she can't help following. ]
Y-Yeah! I sorta get the idea about not having a romantic view of fighting, or whateeever. But Silver-sensei can get really weird. Like, I admire Michelle Yeoh as much as the next girl, but I'm not trying to become some kinda ultimate warrior! [ She laughs. ] It's dangerous out there, and I just wanna be able to defend myself, plus martial arts are friggin' cool!
[ And they are cool. She'd been impressed by how good Sayo had gotten so quickly; it feels as though that battle really could have gone either way. She follows Sayo's conversation pivot, which reminds her of something that had confused her to no end during the run-up to the tournament. ]
Mannn, I still can't believe there's a dog named after a Goddess, teaching martial arts! This place really is weird, huh?
[ She giggles, still amazed by the variety of shapes and backgrounds that Sleepers come in. She seems to have a lot of students though. Maybe it really is worth a shot to have a dog as sensei? ]
Haah, what's thaaat~? [ She gives a broad grin at Sayo's playful one, snickering. Abruptly, she stops walking to give a deep bow. She speaks in a reverent, formal voice. Downright handsome, even. ] I am at your service, milady. Merely name your desire, and your humble Jessica shall grant it. [ Aaand a couple seconds later she regrets making that joke. What if it comes with bad memories? ] Ah, s-sorry, sorry. I just mean I'd be glad to help, Sayo!
no subject
However she was going to follow up that playful ribbing is struck from her mind when Jessica lowers her head and her voice in that bow, all the blood rushing from her cheeks to the tips of her ears drowning out all the witty repartée she had been ready to unleash.]
I- um- hm
No, no, no, it's fine- I, er-
[Sayo flaps her hand and looks away, unable to contain her blush. While she could play the part of the smooth operator when Himiko wasn't overwhelming her defenses with every word, Sayo apparently still has some chinks in her armor.]
R- Right. I was hoping you'd play a prank on Kokichi, Michael's understudy. N- N- Nothing major, don't worry! I just want to get him back for a few days ago, that's all. I was, um, actually wondering what ideas you'd concoct for such a plot if left to your own devices, if I'm being honest...
no subject
Whaaa—!? No way, no way, wouldn't a god just be able to get out of here? They're not even supposed to have bodies, stories are just stories, it's like... more mystical, right? That goes for Shinto and probably Christianity too! [ She continues, sotto voce. ] Not that I'm religious, or anything, and I guess Jesus had a body, but... does that make her like Jesus? Anyway, I bet she's just a weird talking dog. Like 99 Pomeranians. That seems more likely. [ She nods firmly. Delsney movies are more realistic than gods appearing. ]
[ Jessica had been afraid that her careless joke might have dredged up bad memories of being a servant, of their past relationship, that it might have made Sayo upset or anxious. She wasn't expecting the blushing and stammering. It's... absolutely adorable. It makes Jessica flush too, her pounding heart rushing blood to her face as she's momentarily dizzy with the reminder of just how deeply in love she is with this amazing girl.
It makes her want to do and say things that would be much too forward for the careful, exploratory phase their relationship has entered. It's to her credit that she immediately checks that impulse. But seeing Sayo react that way to her... it's something that she really really hopes she'll get to see again.
For now she's more than content to go along with Sayo when she brushes it off, not wanting things to get awkward. And her eyes light up when she proposes a bit of mischief. Kokichi was a funny little guy, and she quite likes him (Michael is a funny old guy, and she really likes him too, why couldn't she have had an uncle like him?). She'd be happy to go along. ]
Hmm, I guess I'd swap out something he had for something else. Something funnier. Hehe, so like, maybe he brings a banana to set as a snack, yeah? But I swap it for a zucchini!
no subject
And that same joy glimmers in her eyes, although with more of an ominous undertone when Jessica pitches her own idea of a prank to Kokichi—enough so that she's thoroughly distracted from her embarrassment and recovers her composure. (For a certain value of "composure.") Sorry, Jessica, you'll have to do better than that to impress the Artist Formerly Known as the Golden Witch.]
Mmmm, it's an interesting idea... But we're going to have to workshop it a little bit. Hold on for just a moment~
[Sayo takes a deep breath, raises her hand, and-
*snap*
Without any further warning, Sayo and Jessica are somewhere else. A quaint arbor lined with bookshelves, not unlike the one in the Ushiromiya rose garden... except it's adrift in a sea of glimmering stars rather than anchored to gravity or reality. Outside, dozens of pages with jagged edges that are densely packed with writing float, orbiting the the arbor like Saturn's rings. It's a humble domain by a witch's standards; after all, Sayo is remarkably new to this.]
Tea? [she asks, already sipping from a cup of black tea of her own.] I'm afraid Beatrice has laid claim to all of my servants, so I'll have to make it all on my lonesome. At least I have some practice doing it myself.
Now then. [And straight to business.] Kokichi Ouma is, as he would no doubt put it, a veritable Clown Prince of Crime. He is no ordinary gremlin with mischievous inclinations; he led a whole gang of hooligans committed to making life slightly more inconvenient to everyone around them. The basic theme of your idea has merit, but it'll take more than that to get him to so much as bat an eye. Think bigger. Think magical. I'll do my best to accommodate your vision. [Sayo gestures grandly at the mildly cramped arbor around them and the small Sea (more like Strait) of Fragments outside.]

[ As a perfectly rambunctious young woman, Jessica has pulled a few pranks. On friends at school, mostly, harmless little stuff. When they were younger, she and Sayo had teamed up to prank the boys every family conference, and she'd been in awe at the girl's cleverness and strategic thinking.
That cackle doesn't seem ominous to her, spared from the terror of experiencing the massacre, but it does send a chill down her spine, reminds her that Sayo really is, in some sense, Beatrice, the witch that had haunted Rokkenjima. ]
Oh, what were y—
[ She really is a witch, isn't she? That's what she can't help thinking when Sayo simply snaps and the world falls away, revealing her eldritch domain. It's incredible. Jessica's jaw falls slack. Her eyes dart between the shelves of books, the orbiting pages (and she tries to make out a few of the words), and the distant stars. She knows that the powers people can manifest here are incredible, but she never dreamed of experiencing anything like this. Sayo really is amazing. She's fascinating Jessica in a whole new way.
She finally stares at Sayo, stammering gormlessly for several seconds before she can formulate a response. ]
T-T-T-Tea! Right! Irish breakfast with a bit of milk, please! Cookies would be nice too! [ She's an Ushiromiya. She appreciates her black tea, if not as much as Sayo does. Again, she finds herself at a loss of words after she gives that answer. ]
I, um... hmm. Yeah, he really does seem that way. This guy's a mastermind. So, ah... what if somehow we swapped his outfit... without him noticing? I dunno how you'd do that, though.
[ She's still too dazzled by what happened around her to formulate a coherent strategy. ]

[If you remember that Sayo was raised in a Catholic orphanage, suddenly everything about her makes a lot more sense.
She can't hide the smug grin on her face as Jessica flails to keep her mental and physical balance. She's adorable like this. (And it's satisfying revenge for annihilating Sayo's composure with that below-the-belt "milady.") The joy kindling in her heart from the spark of Jessica's wonder isn't just from schadenfreude, though; it's wonderful to finally share her own world with her personal beloved. Even without the compact of Mariage Sorciere, a universe for two could still be born.]
Let's see here... A Marple will do nicely, I believe. [Sayo's "system of magic" is entirely unlike Beatrice's. While she could still embellish the process, turn something mundane into something fantastic as long as there was belief behind it, there was... more, ever since she returned from Nephele-that-isn't. She leans outside the arbor, paging through the pages until she finally calls one to her hand. With an unfolding motion, a kettle, pot, and all the genuine fixings for Irish breakfast tea appear on the table, and Sayo gets to work heating up the kettle (even without a legitimate power source). As the Witch of Zero, Sayo could break ideas, objects, and even whole people free from their own story, bringing them into her orbit instead to borrow them.
Her eyes sparkle at Jessica's new suggestion. She is so proud.] That is an EXCELLENT idea. [A tiny sliver of crystal forms in Sayo's palm, and she flicks it outside. Abruptly, the arbor lands in Kokichi's dressing room, or at least the image of it.] Now, we can't touch his costume, obviously. That's a sacred artifact. I doubt he has one sized for him yet, anyways.
Which leaves us with... [Sayo repeatedly snaps her fingers, hemming and hawing thoughtfully. Behind the two of them, the "door" rattles, and the next snap is decisive.] Do you want me to teach you how to pick locks, Jessica?
no subject
It's exhilarating, seeing so much of her, and to know that Sayo trusts her enough to reveal all these previously concealed sides of her personality. Her mischief, her joy, her sadness and anger, the way she's trying so hard to really live again, all of it, all of it. She accepts all of it, loves all of her, hangs off of Sayo's every word and cherishes each of her reactions to the things she says and does. That so-called furniture who lamented the fact that she could not love, could not fly like her, was finally embracing her humanity. She was finally soaring.
She watches, enraptured, as Sayo summons the tea set. She's so excited that she forgets to even pour herself anyway, and it's practically forgotten when Sayo praises her idea, that shine of admiration in her eyes that makes her feel like she's gone to heaven. ]
Y-You really like it? [ She absolutely beams with delight, a huge toothy grin, rubbing the back of her neck. ] Right, right, as a fellow performer, some stuff just wouldn't be cool! [ She nods, still grinning and giggling like a lovestruck schoolgirl, which, in fairness, she is. She hardly even bats an eye at the change of Fragment now, she's so pleased.]
Yes! [ Her answer is forceful and immediate, leaning forward, barely suppressing the urge to take Sayo's hand in excitement. ] I-I mean, yeah, that would be so cool!

[Lock: retrieved. Picks: retrieved. Sayo sets the lock down in front of Jessica, then swoops behind her, grabbing her wrists and whispering into her ear,] The important thing to remember is that these are delicate tools. It's like how you strum a guitar—too much force, and you'll break one of the strings. If you feel too much resistance, ease off...
Are you listening, Jessica?
[Sayo is going to allow herself a little fun here.]
no subject
[ She really does pay attention to your ramblings, Sayo. She doesn't always understand all of it, but she absolutely adores seeing her get so excited, and always had. It really feels like how she was before she'd started calling herself furniture, but more vivid and colorful. It's the sort of excitement she can't help getting wrapped up in herself.
She's all prepared to get to work when Sayo sets the lock and picks down on the table. The thought of learning a new skill, and learning it with her delights her utterly, and Jessica can be pretty good at the things she really sets her mind to.
But then a certain witch casts a spell on her, and those thoughts momentarily go out the window. ]
W-Wahaha, of course, of course, ahh...
[ She catches... some of it. She hears all of the words, and even fits a few of them together, but her heart is pounding hard in her ears, which happen to be very red at how suddenly close Sayo is. A shudder runs through her whole body, and she gives an embarrassing little squeal before she manages to find her words. ]
I, um... I-I-I thought we were taking this slow? Not that I'm complaining at all... [ But Sayo had been burned so many times, and she imagines that the idea of a relationship shaped like theirs would require some... adjustment, given her fraught history with adultery.
But she shouldn't coddle her, either. No, they've both grown so much, and in discovering each other anew, creating a friendship on more sturdy foundations, it's not surprising that these feelings would arise in both of them. ] If you want this, then... th-this time you have to be the one to reach out. Wh-When you're ready, of course.
[ She wants to know that Sayo can really do that. That they can really be equals. ]

The projection suddenly vanishes, the Sea of Fragments in its place once more, and judging by Sayo's sudden blush she did not intend for Jessica to see it. At least she does her best to maintain her composure.] Th- That pretending as if... we haven't known, we haven't kissed, that we both don't want this... acting as if our love is some dirty, unspoken secret that we're yearning for even as we've resolved to leave it in the past...
It feels worse, somehow, even with all my anxieties about, er. Cheating. It's making me more guilty, not less, and... I'm afraid that if we stay in this holding pattern, all small touches and almost-kisses, then I'll settle into a routine and we'll never move past it even though I want to so badly. I know myself well enough to know my own awful habits.
We've been taking it slow for weeks now. I think it's time to pick up the pace, or I'll never find the momentum I need.
[A pause, and a flirtatious laugh.]
And you are just unfairly adorable whenever you squeak like that~ How can I resist?
no subject
Oh, s-s-s-sorry! Eheh...
[ Not that she's even sure what she's apologizing for right now.
She clears her throat, with one of those adorable crooked smiles she does when she's really flustered, feeling as though steam is rising out of her ears. It's hard for her even to think, like her mind has turned into joyful white static, but she takes a breath, not wanting to miss a word as Sayo speaks.
As the temperature between her ears stars to cool a little, her beloved spills her heart, all floral yearning words. It is as though some enormous weight on Jessica's chest was disappearing, replaced by a pure light that expands to fill every inch of her being. Without thinking, an enormous smile appears on her face, and fat tears start rolling down her cheeks. She tried her best not to lean too far into hope, for fear of having them dashed again and hurting them both with false expectations.
But Sayo is right. They both know how they feel, and they both want this. The road that brought them here passed through hell, but now they've climbed through the mountains of purgatory, and there's no place she'd rather be than in the paradise they found beyond that perilous climb. ]
Sayo, I— I love you. I love you so much. I-I believe in us, and that means Himiko too! You told me, didn't you? That that's how magic works. Then I want us to believe in that magic, together.
[ She beams, rubbing the pad of her thumb in little circles onto the back of Sayo's hand. ]
I'm so happy to see you like this. You're... amazing. I feel like I can finally see the real you, and the more I see, the more I understand, the more I love. It was like I was searching for you all along, but I was doing it the wrong way... but it's not just on my end.
You chose to live. You're so much happier now, and confident, and you've come so far. Nobody deserves that more than you, Sayo. It just... makes me so happy! And if you want me by your side, while we make new futures together, that would make me even happier.
[ Taking a cue from Sayo's fantasy, she raises her beloved's hand to her lips, and kisses it. Her skin is so soft, and pleasantly cool. ]
Hehe, my heart feels like it might explode right now, you know? That how good it feels to have such a cute, charming, smart, cool, and drop-dead gorgeous girl love me!
mild nsfw
All love was fundamentally fantasy, delusion, yet it could become real if two (or more) people believed in it fervently enough. And Sayo was hardly one to let go of such magic, not when she'd finally become a proper witch.
Jessica's words, everything that Sayo has wanted to hear from her from the moment she realized her love, only deepens that affection. A swell of overwhelming happiness mists Sayo's eyes, she she straightens, face wobbling into an overjoyed smile... followed by a blush as Jessica kisses her hand and showers her in compliments.]
J- Jessica... I love you too... [she says, apparently taken off guard.
Then, a dangerous glint enters her eyes.] But I can hardly let you outdo me, hm? [Sayo moves quick as a viper and counterattacks with her own kiss on Jessica's hand, her fangs brushing against her skin.] You're absolutely radiant. [She yanks Jessica forward, this time kissing her wrist, but there's a force to it now, enough to bruise. Her teeth sink in, almost breaking skin- but no, no. Not yet.] I've always called you the sun because I thought you were too bright to look at, but thinking about it now... [Moving upward, there's even more pressure this time, a suction to Sayo's lips, as her fangs nip at Jessica's forearm.] You're the moon. Guiding me through the darkness, showing me new, beautiful sides of yourself every night...
Audacious. Independent. Shining brighter than the stars. And if you'll forgive me for losing track of the metaphor... [Sayo brushes Jessica's firm bicep with her thumb, a gentle touch, before following up with a not-so-gentle kiss. She leaves behind a wet mark and saliva trailing from her lips as she pulls back.] Strong,, and not just in the spiritual way. Clever, when you put, [kiss,] your, [kiss,] mind, [kiss,] to, [kiss] it, [all trailing up her arm, past the crook of her elbow now.]
And returning to the moon... [Sayo leans forward especially closely this time, at some point having made her way onto Jessica's lap to straddle her. Her other hand cups the underside of Jessica's breast, running her nails (some of which have been trimmed recently) across the thin layer of clothing, almost as if meaning to pierce through and cut the fabric of her bra with them.] Some superb curves as well. [This time, Sayo kisses Jessica's shoulder, digging in like she's a starving animal. Her fangs, having always just teased the possibility before, easily sink in deep enough to draw forth Jessica's coldblood. At the exact same moment, her occupied hand none-too-gently squeezes Jessica's breast, the tips of her fingers lightly kneading the pliant flesh as Sayo retreats with agonizing slowness, tongue briefly licking at Jessica's punctured skin before fully pulling away.
Her thumb hooks around Jessica's collar, apparently having no intention of undressing her the slow or easy way.]
Are you ready, then?
no subject
She can't say when those feelings had begun to take on something more... romantic, because she hadn't noticed them herself. Of course, exploring that kind of affection was considered normal for young girls, something to grow out of, but they'd never played at anything like that. There was just... an intensity to how she felt about that servant, a way that she trusted her more deeply and more truly than anybody in the world. It's pointless to try to disentangle "platonic" and "romantic," love is never that simple, and it wasn't even once she'd taken on the alter ego of Kanon. Either way it was passionate, seeking out the things she'd needed in another. And either way, it was incomplete and one-sided.
Because Sayo could never trust and rely on Jessica the way the Ushiromiya successor did on her servant. Jessica wanted somebody who wouldn't force more burdens on her, but she'd forced all her feelings on Sayo while unable to truly support her. It was a realization Jessica had come to recently: that at least where it came to Sayo, that was where the shutting her eyes had started, in ignoring the fundamental inequality in their relationship. From there, a thousand other ways to ignore her and take her for granted. For the cool and mysterious boy that worked at the mansion, she substituted a true understanding love with her idealized vision of youthful romance. She'd been selfish, cruel in her innocent way. She taken and taken and given so little, forced Sayo to accept her terms of what their relationship should be.
Surely that had been one of the thorns that had pierced Sayo's heart.
That's why it's so important to Jessica now, that they are equals, that Sayo's needs and feelings are given weight, why she's been patient and gentle, wanting to create something where both of them truly mattered. It's why it's so thrilling that Sayo is the one to declare her feelings, and to act on them, showering Jessica with her effusive love.]
Mnn— ahh!
[ She moans outright when Sayo kisses her hand, then yelps as her lips travel up her arm, giving her little love bites, sucking on her skin. And each kiss peppered with compliments that make her giggle and just about swoon from happy embarrassment. ] Mmn, jeez, flatterer...! [ It's sweet... but it doesn't put her up on a pedestal, doesn't distance them. They're so close, right now. Physically, too, as the girl climbs on top of her, their bodies so close that Jessica never wants them separated, wants to feel her breath and skin forever.
She's surprised that Sayo is being so forward and direct with her passions, after a lifetime of concealing herself, locking away her true feelings and desires. This is a side of her that she's never seen before, but that doesn't put Jessica off; quite the opposite. Her breath hitches, before being released in a needy moan when Sayo squeezes her chest. Her fiery blood burns hotter to know that her beloved wants her like this, and is unafraid to express it to the fullest. She arches her chest, crying louder when Sayo's teeth draw blood, tasting her, taking part of her into herself. She'll have to thank Himiko for teaching that to her. ]
Y-Yeah! I, ah, I want this, a lot... please, Sayo...
probably a bit too late for this but nsfw warning,
Sayo loves Jessica. As pure and easy, although not necessarily as simple, as that. But just like Sayo didn't deny her own feelings for Jessica on Rokkenjima, she sees no point in denying that seeing Jessica become putty in her hands like this was immensely gratifying.
She dives forward into Jessica, tongue insistently invading her mouth before their lips can even make contact. Snapping off the first button of Jessica's top with a hook of her thumb, Sayo continues kissing Jessica with insatiable force—it almost feels like her tongue is trying to reach all the way down Jessica's throat. With a stylish gesture that almost seems like a magician's flair, Sayo reaches behind her back, undoing Jessica's bra and yanking it off her body, flinging it to the side as she leans forward, forward, threatening to topple over the chair...
Until she does, yet instead of collapsing to the floor in a heap, Jessica finds herself pinned on a comfortable feather bed, Sayo looming over her with an insatiable hunger that's been building for years without a single crumb to feed it.]
You know, Jessica, [she purrs, finally retreating from Jessica's mouth.] I've always been quite jealous of these. [Sayo traces circles around Jessica's areola.] Or, well, I thought it was jealousy for quite some time. Later, though... [Sayo lowers her head with a slow inevitability, pinching Jessica's nipple between her thumb and forefinger,] I learned that while that may be part of it, I've also wanted to do something like this. [Sayo's lips close around Jessica's other nipple, teasing at it with her teeth before playfully licking at it with her tongue. Her hands, meanwhile, sink into Jessica's breasts, stroking and kneading them with clumsy earnestness. Judging by how Sayo also gives a full-body shudder, this is something she's wanted to do for a long, long time.]

She'd always known Sayo had a devilish, teasing side but she never could have imagined this. She obediently opens her mouth to let more of Sayo in, at least experienced enough with Himiko's ravenous kisses to know what to do, but unable to hide the whimper she makes into that kiss.
She just about swoons as Sayo undresses her, her mind consumed by a white-hot fire of need and overwhelming joy. The sheltered princess had never been elegant enough or dainty enough, had always feared that no matter how many friends she made, she'd never have a normal, happy life. She'd just be married off to some rich guy who didn't care about her, she'd never see her friends again, or enjoy her hobbies, and that would be that. It's why she denied the evidence around her to chase after Kanon, to try to break through to see what was within the boy she loved. Now that love was reaching back to her, and there was nothing to keep them apart, not even themselves.
She gives a little shriek of surprise as they tumble back onto the bed, and she's pinned under Sayo's slender, surprisingly strong body, staring up into eyes that burn for her. She giggles, nervous but happy, giving way to a moan as Sayo dips down and pinches her nipple. She arches her chest up into her hands, into the hungry mouth that licks and nips at her. ]
Ahh, y-you're beautiful too! [ There's no way that the supple, lovely body pressed against her could be disgusting to her. She wants to see it, to feel it, and pay respect to every part of her. ] I, want to touch you too, Sayo... I want to make you feel good. Mnh, would you let me?
no subject
She had hooked her index finger around Jessica's next button, ready to rip open her shirt and expose more of her lovely skin to Sayo's tender ministrations, but she freezes when Jessica asks her questions. Easy confidence flaking away, Sayo shrinks backward, looking down and away from Jessica's face. Knowing that Jessica didn't mean anything by it didn't make the reminder of how her body was broken sting any less; even with the image of herself lit in Himiko's beautiful light finally healing some of those wounds, the scars, mental and physical, still ached.
Sayo clutches her arm in a painfully familiar gesture.] That's, um...
[She swallows.]
I can't, Jessica. Not won't, can't.
At least not like you. It's not that easy. [Despite how she'd been lasciviously licking Jessica's nipple before, a blush rises to Sayo's face as she stutters over her next few words.] N- Not without t-t-tools, which, um, I don't have, at the moment, and, er, well...
This is... this is easier, right? So we'll just... [She trails off, unsure of what to say.]

S-Sorry! [ Jessica sits up, putting her hands protectively on Sayo's slender shoulders, pulling her a little closer, though not quite embracing her again. She just wants her to know that she's here with her, while giving her space if she needs it. ] I don't mean right away, I mean—
I mean, I really do think you're beautiful. I really, really mean that, and I'd never think you're gross or anything because of your body. [ She leans in, kisses her softly, and rests her forehead against Sayo's. As an exciteable teenager, the thought of sex was an impossibly romantic, unearthly fantasy for her. Now that they're here together, this intimacy feels like the most natural thing in the world. ] I want you. And because I love you, I want to do things for you, but only if you're comfortable with it, okay?
Um, I-I'm more than happy to let you do me, of course! [ She flushes to her ears just thinking of what she's about to do to her, and it takes a heroic effort to continue on with her point and not just beg to melt into her touch again. ] S-Seriously, go ahead! Please. But, if there's a way for me, um, I-I'd really like us to explore that... I read it feels, um, g-good in the butt? Ahaha...

Sayo startles at the kiss, eyes widening, but relaxes almost instantly and leans into it. There's none of the insistent hunger from her kiss earlier, just a tender, exhausted gratitude. Smiling, Sayo bumps her forehead against Jessica, closing her eyes and doing her best to truly listen to her beloved's words.]
...thank you, Jessica. [A low exhale as Sayo forces herself to calm down.] I want you too. More than almost anything else in the world. [There was Himiko to take into consideration, after all.
She chuckles, but there's a nervous bent to it.] I just... it would be my first time doing, um, that, too! So I'm nervous. And I've, er, heard, likewise.
If you're sure, then... let's not wait any longer. [This time, Sayo's attentions are less overwhelmingly ravenous. She carefully unbuttons the rest of Jessica's shirt, casting it to the side. (Although she can't resist planting another peck on each of her nipples, short and oh-so-sweet. Or kissing her torso every time undoing another button reveals more skin.) She pulls down Jessica's skirt next, bending down, hooking her thumb around the band of her panties...
And looks up one last time. Just to be sure.]

It makes her so happy to see Sayo relax a little, and she vows to herself to protect that feeling; to do what she can to make Sayo feel loved and wanted in heart and body. ]
We can, um, figure it out!
[ She gives Sayo one last little kiss before she starts moving down her body again, undressing her. Each kiss against her skin makes her gasp softly, giddy and embarrassed at the attention as more and more of her body is revealed. Inanely, she worries if Sayo will really find her attractive, damn the other girl's body issues, and the fact that she's doing this at all. There are habits of self-consciousness that she isn't rid of yet, not even after the storm named Himiko Toga crashed into them.
She raises her hips to make it easier for Sayo to undress her, and nods vigorously. ]
God, Sayo, I want it so bad, please...

Sayo plunges her face between Jessica's thighs, tongue flicking out and circling around Jessica's labia. She samples the slickness that Jessica has released so far, satisfied with what she had done without even touching her below the belt, before she eases the folds of Jessica's vagina apart and slips her tongue inside, lapping at Jessica's insides before trailing her closer to her clit, leaving behind saliva that mixes with Jessica's own wetness.]

Aaa, Sayo, yes—
[ She looks down at Sayo, dizzy with joy that they'd reached this point, that they'd passed through hell and found each other at the gates to a new world. Her fingers tangle in Sayo's hair, holding her head there so she doesn't dare to stop making her feel so wonderful. ]
