[thoughts and feelings that are lost on his eldest brother, who continues to only have eyes for endeavor. even if he were thrown to fight his little brother in the war, a fact he's aware of might happen, it won't be as satisfying as ending the man he despises the most. shouto, for all the focus touya has given him, opinions and thoughts shaped around his young life, remains mostly as another way to torment endeavor. the failed experiment ending the life of the perfect masterpiece created to replace him. stripping endeavor even further of those dreams and desires he holds dear. their inevitable clash could only be postponed no matter how many things stood up to block him. that's touya's intent, a fire that refuses to be snuffed out until it's full.

uncomfortable. guilty. he likes it when his little brother has to content with those feelings because of his own life. an existence that served the dual purpose of rendering those who came before him mute and expendable. pointless. it's not surprising the first statement, a simple precursor to the latter, goes ignored while the latter actually hits a mark.]
