[dabi already went spelunking. three times. each one came back with some interesting things. as for the company each time, well... that was somewhat more questionable, but none of them ruined the experience. would he recommend going down there again? not entirely. from the sound of things, all the valuable shit was already made off with, leaving just the traps and crap rewards.

he can't tell if mister compress is dead or not, so all he can give is the last he heard of him. alive. the heroes were probably giving him priority, since they want him to talk as well. the guy was well enough to joke about throwing his ass at people when he was caught so... seemed good enough spirits?]

Nah. Still captured for all we know. All for One has some plans for him, but won't tell anyone not directly involved with 'em.

[even among his own men, the man likes to keep things close to heart and his own contingency plans a well-controlled secret. dabi doesn't blame him. "trust" is not something he'd ever think all for one gave out fully to anyone. jin was killed for the threat he produced, not so much usefulness to the heroes. dabi's pretty sure hawks would've kept him alive if he wasn't multiply like rabid horny rabbits... then again, hawks is hawks.]

But since ya can't, what're ya gonna do? Write it down in a book somewhere?

[Imagine being materialistic and not just bored. Traps, creatures and the bragging rights are enough for him. Well, one day, but not this day. This day is a nice stroll through the forest, reminiscent of other times the LoV had to stroll through trees to get places. It's nostalgic in its own way and Shigaraki will take it where he gets it.

He doesn't tell his plans to anyone until they're enacted. That's why his plans are flawless, he plans them perfectly. Even if it seems the opposite.

[Though, he's not sure where the overtaking of his own body is supposed to lead. He knows that much of it and that much of it is all he knows. The thought of writing things down brings a small laugh from him.]

Don't suck up. The heroes have messed with his plans plenty; he's got so many contingencies and other routes, it only seems like the plan went on uninhibited.

[Tomura can go on his own like a big boy. He's enjoying this walk enough that it isn't something he's against doing in the future instead. That way he doesn't have to listen to Dabi bitch or moan about the low light conditions. Or skip out just like he had. Face it, it was because fire wasn't working, whiner.]

Mh. He planned for those things to happen. It's one in the same. I don't think there's anything he didn't think of, it's not sucking up, it's realising.

[A roll of his eyes is the most of the answer there. He certainly doesn't think Dabi is serious.]

[Tomura pauses in his steps, just watching Dabi take one or two more before catching up easily. Easily as he can.]

[accurate prediction or not. but then again, dabi's capable of realizing how well-prepared all for one is. just isn't willing to go for that "all knowing" crap.]

Ya got that right. Gotta admit, I'm kinda curious about this place. No law, no rules, no heroes.

[As if he wasn't going to at least do that. Despite that there's time between, Tomura doesn't hate talking to Dabi. ...Sometimes. Then there are sometimes that he remembers why he hates talking to Dabi. This is not one of those times where most of this has gone. But hey if Dabi wants to come along and play candlestick, why not? Shigaraki's eyes again tick to the side at Dabi, brow raised and smirk on his face.]

[There's lots they agree on, but it's just how the nature of the beast is. If they're not disagreeing then something's just as wrong as if they are.

A nod of his head, exaggerated for Dabi's visual confirmation, he knows the bastard would make it a living hell. But it is a good idea. Speaking of good idea, yeah. Dabi hits the nail on the head, this is the good part of this place.]

It's got its perks. They're trying to with the groups I've heard of wandering around trying to do-good, but nothing like we're used to.

Biggest one is that Sanctuary. There's gonna be some kinda conflict eventually, between the original hunters and the sanctimonious group trying to save everythin.

[He's playing canldlestick if he's the one lighting the way and if he isn't lighting the way then they have actual lanterns at least. Or maybe his depressing omen can help Shigaraki out since he's supposed to do that. It's not anyone's fault but Dabi that he is a walking lightsource.

Non-chalant as Dabi is, Tomura finds it less and less easy to feel as amped as he did before.]

I wish I would've listened more when I got here but I can't care about this place. It'll be a fun war to watch from the sidelines. I don't care about who lives or dies between them. I doubt you do.

[does it help that his lupine omen is also a walking lightsource? glowing eyes and little hitodama wisps drifting around it. no? wow, didn't think so. he'll refuse out of a double mixture of principle and being a bastard. then light his own way later once he's by himself. or something. if he bothers going in.

[both for the advanced notice and the aspect of casualties during the war. dabi doesn't find himself tied to anything in this place, outside of himself, but at the same time, drifting aimlessly is a foolish thing to do. find a war, pick a side, and somewhat get involved to fan the flames.]

But it's somethin to do in the meantime. War makes business more profitable, right?

Without hesitation, following Dabi seems natural. Not how things usually were, but it does feel natural. When the man decides they're going down a foot path instead, Tomura stops and just heads down it. Not only are there traps that he has to worry about, but he's sure that Dabi has had to hide or spread things out including all of these hiding places.]

Hmm... If only I gave a damn about that, I'd start a war.

[don't blame him; he was brought up that way. life's a bitch; now so am i. dabi certainly hadn't intended for today to end up giving shigaraki some enlightenment towards what he wants to do with his life here in trench, but he won't complain that's what happened. it's annoying to be directionless, trapped in a void without escape, not knowing what your purpose is, self-defined or otherwise.

luckily for tomura, there are no traps down this path. dabi hasn't booby-trapped the entire neighborhood. that's a surefire way to bring more attention to the place, since obviously someone wants to keep people out. mostly it's his literal storehouses that have that particular attention paid to them. this here? this is simply a natural path that people used to use. dirt with stones and grass on either side, leading towards the river they currently hear but not see.]

Don't think we're gonna have to "start" one. I think it'll happen if things get pushed hard enough long enough.

[when morals start to overflow and the normal feels threatened. the whole schism with the hunters is, admittedly, only infantile at best right now. disagreement, but not outright animosity so far. it'd be stupid to think something as trivial as that could be strong enough to start a war.
