[At least he can speak on Dabi's behalf for fighting the monster. He'll at least keep Dabi from trouble on that front. The people might grumble, but they know that monsters are a serious threat. Something like this, that took so much work to take out? There's no way that most people could have killed it.]

[The breaking bones gets a slight sigh of relief - at least there's something that he can impact. He turns and does another pass, hearing the cracking of bone and watching the splurting of slime. It's satisfying, finally taking down a powerful foe. He slashes and cuts through the center of the 'egg', twisting his sword so that he can slash at the horrid thing and hopefully break it in two.]

[This thing's really pissed him off, and he's tired. He came out here to try to negotiate with Dabi - he hadn't expected a big battle like this. Ah, well. He really should be expecting this sort of thing in Trench more. He'd like to relax for once, but that's not what Trench is about. Apparently catching a break is illegal here.]

[good idea, since he'd likely kill whoever came at him with proverbial pitchforks and torches. not that dabi's one to hide behind another person's defenses, but if the opportunity presents itself, why not make use of it? he was, after all, fighting a monster, not setting the forest on fire. (well, he was earlier, doing the latter, but small details.)

despite his own need to cool down once more, dabi's making silent notes on nara'a's skill. they work well together, despite the villain's lone wolf preferences and overkill brute force tactics. despite his own power, he's pretty sure he'd not have gotten far with this creature by himself. nara'a had done most of the physical attacking and breaking. that also means the miqo'te can be the one covered in slime as he tears apart the creature's shell and hacks its skeleton to pieces inside its sludge body.

"in two" is easily, if not messily, done now that he's able to get its bones close to the surface of its body. dabi's mildly amused that the normally-calm man is so pissed at the beast. wonders if this is a normal trait for him, or if their almost clash had been a button pusher. well... this shirt is ruined. he grabs at the melted fabric and drags the rest of it off his shoulders and arms, throwing it away with a glare of disgust. Ewugh. Gross.]

[He doesn't seem to mind the slime and the sludge, wiping it off the best he can. His armor took a bit of a hit, but he can fix it... probably. He might need to look into learning how to do that, actually - or finding someone else who can. But that's a problem for later Nara'a, not current Nara'a.]

[Once the thing is properly cut in two he wipes his sword on some nearby brush. It'll need a proper cleaning later, but it's enough that he feels comfortable sheathing it and sighing. The shield gets holstered as well, and he wrinkles his nose a little at the gross smell of burnt... whatever this was.]

Looks like it.

[He nudges a bit of it with his foot, and seems satisfied enough that it shows no signs of life to turn his back on it and walk over to near Dabi.]

Unless you particularly want to handle the cleanup, I can take it from here. The fire'll get contained, and I'll make sure no one tries going after you.

... Not that you'd have a problem with the people here, but I know it'd be annoying.

[If people kept sending what he thought of as 'cannon fodder' at him... he'd be annoyed, too. He's been in that situation and hated it.]

[dabi's out a shirt, but the corrosive sludge didn't get too far on him before he burned it off. can always get another shirt. definitely should've worn his bloodproof cloak for this. he doesn't seem at all bothered by the dying beast, ignoring it as much as you'd ignore a bug stepped on. not his problem anymore. kill or be killed world, right?]

Good. Ya saved the forest.

[never mind the fact the beast was only the second threat to the forest today. good thing the battle's tired dabi out enough he doesn't feel like continuing his angry crusade against the beasts in the woods. this one's good enough for him. even if it didn't have the "flee and run" response he'd hoped for. got to kill it, and that's what counts.]

Do I look like someone who handles cleanup?

[with his quirk, arguably the answer is yes. burn the corpse, leave no discernible or useful evidence, etc. dabi slides his hands into his pocket.]

Think I'll go take a look at Feed before goin home. Do whatcha want with the rest.

[He hears that sarcasm, Dabi. They did save the forest, don't be a downer. But he chuckles a little at the question.]

Yes, when you want to.

[He's seen fire claim plenty of things. He doesn't need another lesson in it, so he'll take care of the monstrous remains. Maybe he'll crush them into bits or something. Or maybe he'll pick through the remains for any useful things. He's not likely to find any, but he can try.]

That's fine. Give me a call if you need or want something.

[He's not hard to find, since he keeps his Omni on him. It's as useful as a linkpearl - more, in some ways. But he doesn't expect Dabi to call him... still has to make the offer, though.]

[He turns away, using his sword to poke into the remains and take an appraising look. He grew up hunting, after all - or at least preparing the bodies of what was hunted. This isn't all that different, besides being a new monster to examine.]

[yeah. saved a bunch of places the beasts can hide and come after them later. (no he'd rather keep the woods, something he'll recall when his revenge boner is gone.) and his rhetorical question gets a stupid answer.

[loot the corpse. dabi's not gonna hang around and get slime or blood all over him and end up corrupted. been down that route before and isn't interested in dealing with beasthood again. the invite to call him, however, earns a brief glance over his shoulder, as if he might say something... but then turns back around to move forward, leading with his head and shoulders.]

Uh-huh. [he'll keep the offer in mind. this guy has a connection to feed, and with dabi not fond of fish, that kind of gravitates in his favor now doesn't it.] Ja ne.

[walking off into the smoldering woods and smoke, he disappears from view. they'll meet up again another time.]
