[ katherine puffs out her chest and shakes her head, brows furrowing tightly together. she's the picture-perfect representation of incredulity.

( he's pretty sure she hasn't had one ever. he squeezes her hand. )

[ he makes such a big deal out of everything! katherine wants to tell him this isn't her first time and she has had a candy apple thingo before... but she knows it's useless. stefan has read between the lines accurately. he knows that she has never had one before.

she smiles up at him, ] It's a good thing I have you here to clean me up, then, isn't it?

( she gets his blood all over the place when he let's her drink from him. he chuckles and then leans in closer to kiss her cheek. )

[ tilting her head towards him, she smiles and nods. ]

[ one of them also involves opening the front door, too.

she turns around and looks back at the house. aleksander's followed them down the stairs, though he seems to have departed from their path. he sits against the wall and slowly drops to lie on his belly. ]

Do you think we should dress up Aleksander?

[ aleksander who is wearing a little headband with goggly eyes and a yellow and black striped shirt. ]

He's dressed up.

What else would we dress him up in? We don't have another costume.

[ aleksander the little bee, buzzing around until he's not buzzing at all. it had been cute at the time. ]

He could be Kenickie. You could've gotten him a leather jacket.

[ he'd have made a very cute kenickie. would've given stefan a run for his money as a t-bird. ]

Or a Pink Lady.

He looks fine right now. He's a bee. He's buzzing!

( and that's cute. besides, where would they find a dog sized leather jacket on such short notice? )

I think he's fine as he is. Do you want to bring him with us?

( if not, a bee should be fine. )

[ she purses her lips and regards her little buzzing bee. he looks a little sad as he preses his face into the floor and sighs heavily. ]

You don't think he'd be spooked?

[ if asked, she would claim that she has brought a dog to halloween before. ]

I think he'd be fine as long as we kept him near us.

( and if it looked like things were going to get weird, they'd go home. )

He might like it. People giving him attention and treats because he's so cute.

[ take a giant fluff ball who has a sweet temperament and a need to be in everyone's business, and everyone will be charmed by him.

looking at their little bee, she gives him a small smile. ]

But maybe he can have a doggy treat bag.

[ that stefan can carry. ]

( stefan knows his role. he carries the bags while she buys things whether it be clothes or shoes or candy. )

So, are we decided? Is he coming along with us?

[ rather than give stefan an answer, katherine lowers down into a squat as best she can in her leather pants. she opens her arms wide and clicks her fingers. aleksander's ears twitch. ]

Do you want to come? Come on.

[ aleksander doesn't rise immediately, but once he notes she's not going to stand up immediately and slip out the door, he's up no his paws and trots over towards them to rub his white fur against their black pants.

she smiles at stefan. ] Looks like he's not too busy for us tonight.

Wow, lucky us. Blessed with Aleksander's presence.

( snickering, stefan goes to the door to retrieve aleksander's harness and leash before he hands it to katherine to put on him. )

Okay, so we're dressed and we've got Aleksander. Are we forgetting anything?

[ while aleksander the bee doesn't look entirely happy to be in his harness (as always), she easily slips it onto his big bulk and fur. he lies on his stomach, panting softly. ]

I don't think so.

[ ruffling aleksander's fur, she smiles and requests he stands up in bulgarian. ]

He's ready, Danny. I should've gotten him a T-Bird jacket.

( he doubts aleksander really wants to wear a jacket. he looks good enough now. with an easy pull on his leash, he gets them going to the party. )

Hopefully he doesn't find a girl and runs out with her tonight.

[ aleksander's a handsome and charismatic dog. she expects him to have many boyfriends and girlfriends by the time his fur begins to grey.

locking the door behind them, she slips the key beneath a pillow on the swing. (it won't go with her outfit.)

katherine steps into place beside stefan and gives his ass a little slap. ]

You wear Halloween well, you know.

We're barely out the door and you're already slapping my ass.

( stefan laughs because no, he's not surprised. he's just going to make an observation about it though. )

But thank you. It's never been my favorite holiday but it's fun sometimes. Candy's good.

[ honestly, he shouldn't be surprised. his ass looks nice in those pants and it's hers to slap. she thinks to grope him, but she keeps her hand to herself now, walking beside him with aleksander sniffing the ground and leading the way. ]

Getting out of the costumes will be fun, too.

[ she winks. ]

( stefan's not surprised. he just shakes his head because while he agrees with her, he's not going to encourage her. )

[ she pouts, peering up at him with her biggest doe eyes. that sounds very unfun, stefan. what's so good about being responsible? ]

[ she leans heavily against him and sighs. ]

Halloween's all about having fun and being different to who you are.

[ she rolls her eyes and sighs heavily. ]

When you dressed up as Danny, you weren't meant to be the party pooper, Stefan.

[ pushing away from him, she swings her arms and tilts her head back. what's the point of dressing up if they're not going to have a little fun?

as if on cue, aleksander barks. katherine nods, peering down at him. ] I agree. Papa is not fun at all.

Hey! I'm plenty fun. I'm just trying to keep us from getting arrested. Do you want to get arrested?

( he directs the question to both aleksander and katherine. he tsks them both. )
