A (We're Not Going to Talk About How Late This is) July Catch-all Post
Who: Luke, with both open and closed prompts.
What: Event shenanigans and the usual Skywalker Family Drama (tm).
When: All through the month of July.
Where: All through Trench.
Timeline of Events
(For those that want to write their own top levels)
* From the 1st to the 4th, Luke will be okay, if relatively mopy and trying (and failing) to hide it. Him and D will have had a talk about Luke needing to stay away from him, and Luke isn't exactly thrilled about it. On top of it, feeling the call of retribution is an annoying, nagging feeling in the back of his mind.
* On the 5th, Luke will realize he has no control over the need for retribution he's been feeling. He'll leave his home, determined to hide until the feeling passes, and be caught out in the rain. Because of the effects from D's bite last month, the rain will cause him to pass out. He's rescued by Sailor Moon and delivered to Maul, and it's not long until Luke realizes that the need for retribution is starting to overwhelm his senses, and he runs away.
* The next few weeks are spent with Luke trying to avoid people so he doesn't kill them. How effective he is depends on how much you want your character to get introduced to a lightsaber.
* Because of this, Luke's going to be outside all month and susceptible to corruption and beastification, leading him to going full beast mode by the end of it.
* Luke will end up in A Hot Mess by the end of the month, resulting in him 1.) nearly killing Anakin Solo, 2.) being controlled by D to stop that, seeing as the effects of his bite are still in effect, and 3.) ending up dying saving Anakin from a rampaging Maul.
* By the end of the month, he'll be (reluctantly) back to life, and not in the best of moods, but he's together with himself to apologize to D, taking responsibility for everything that's happened.

Feels Like A Breakup (Closed to D) (CW: Mentioned bloodletting)
He kept telling himself this, but a part of him knew it wasn't true. Since allowing D to bite him, he had felt different, to the point that he didn't have a good way to describe it. He hadn't been able to even get a sniff of garlic without feeling sick, let alone putting it in dishes, not to mention he had a distinct sense of where D was, especially when he was close. The latter wasn't so bad -- the man was inhuman enough to the point that sensing him through the Force was a pain at the best of times -- but the sudden garlic allergy was annoying, and led to him having to rethink half the food he cooked.
Not to mention there was a... feeling, in the back of his mind, like there was something he needed to do. He couldn't put his finger on what or why, or even if it had anything to do with D, just that it started not all that long after the month began, and only seemed to get worse as the days progressed.
And speaking of feelings...
Luke was halfway through starting up a meal when he sensed D, approaching his little hideaway home in the middle of nowhere. He dropped what he was doing in favor of grabbing a knife and a jar instead, determined to make sure his soon-to-be guest could have something to drink like any proper host would... even if it was a little morbid that said drink was going to be his own blood.

If not for the fact that Luke had offered repeatedly, had clearly wanted D's fangs, he would have already ended the effects of the curse. But they'd both been caught up in it and now it was time to talk about what they had been doing.
D paused when he reached Luke's current hideout, aware that Luke would know he was there and that he would invite D inside.
no subject
He may have half ran toward the door to let him in, offering a warm smile, before he paused. There was a sense, lingering in his mind, that something was wrong, that something was bothering the other man, and he found himself looking up at him, searching his face for an answer to what was troubling him. Finally, wordlessly, he stepped to the side, inviting him in with a wave of his hand.
no subject
"Don't offer me your blood. This has been corrupting both of us and we need to stop." D isn't one to beat around the Bush. Seeing the scarf makes him think of Luke's warm throat beneath his fangs.
Even though Luke is willing and enjoys it, they can't continue.
no subject
"What...?" he asked reflexively, taking a step back as if the physical distance would be enough for him to process what D just said. When it finally did click in his head, he frowned slightly, trying not to look as annoyed as he felt. "But... I feel fine? Nothing's happened to either of us."
Then again, he didn't know what "corruption" was supposed to feel like or even look like. His only experience so far was his father going Darth Vader on him, but... well, that was more business as usual, honestly.
no subject
There was also no way to know how much the bite was influencing Luke's attitude towards him. He could say he understood what it was all he wanted but until he experienced it he couldn't know if he would truly agree. And now that he was under its influence, there was no way to know if those were genuinely his thoughts or not.
no subject
Right now, it was just him and D, and the inexplicable urge to just want to be closer to him.
no subject
Among them was biting Luke in the first place. Even if he offered and begged, D would have refused if he had been fully in his right mind.
no subject
"D, you were legitimately starving," he pointed out. "I don't even want to think about how long you've done this to yourself; how can you say fore certain it was corruption and not just your body telling you enough was enough?"
That had to be a good argument, right?
no subject
"Without blood I just become hungrier and hungrier, but I won't wither and die." One of the differences D had with most other Dhampirs. Much like true Nobility he could sustain himself without consuming anything.
no subject
"How is that any better?" he replied. "I personally don't want to see you turn into some... thing that's only driven by his hunger."
He took another step toward him, as if daring him to prove him wrong.
"You can't live like that; you're only torturing yourself."
no subject
He had been drinking from Luke's wrist. Not ideal, too close to be comfortable for anything other than an emergency. But that had been fine. He could have kept doing that. He didn't need to bite to sate his hunger even if biting was far more satisfying.
"Even torturing myself is better than that."
And now D was engaging in a different kind of self torture by talking to someone he'd bitten.
Saw An Angel (Closed to Maul) (CW: Mentioned murder, attempted murder)
He had fled out into the rain, hoping to disappear into the forests near his home and isolate himself, thereby avoiding whatever nefarious plans that calling had in store for him. It was raining, something that wouldn't have bothered him usually, but something turned out to be very wrong, something he noticed almost immediately on leaving the house. He started to feel extremely lethargic, like every little movement was an effort, that anything he did in that rain just wore him down that much more. His need to get away quickly turned into a need to survive, struggling to remain conscious as he made his way through the rain, to the nearest place that would be safe, but...
He collapsed, like the rain itself was killing him slowly.
His memories were hazy after that. He vaguely recalled crawling, still trying valiantly to get to shelter. He remembered a shining light, and a glowing figure with bright, shining white wings. Luke had heard of the Angels of Iego; they were supposed to be creatures so beautiful that there was no language to describe them. He thought for certain that's who it was... but then with a blink, the shining figure was replaced with the concerned face of Maul, looming over him and peering down at him.
"...hi?" he mumbled not sure how else he was supposed to respond to this.
no subject
So he'd just made sure Luke was dry and warm, waiting for his friend to come back to consciousness. "I can't leave you alone for five minutes, can I?" He grumbled as two strong arms encircled Luke, helping to prop him back up in a sitting position.
no subject
"Sorry?" he managed to get out, before he shook his head. "I... there was something weird about the rain. It made me pass out, and..."
He paused, frowning to himself.
"...I thought I saw an angel?"
It was kind of ridiculous; of course, he had heard of the angels of Iego, but he couldn't imagine them showing up here out of the blue, not to mention just rescuing some random person out in the rain.
no subject
"An angel?" Maul was no good with hiding his emotions and so he had to turn his head away so as not to give away the fact he was smiling at that description of Usagi. Not that he blamed Luke for thinking as such. Sailor Moon was beautiful both inside and out.
"What did they look like?" He could have told Luke the truth but that secret was not his to tell. Besides, it would have been obvious the next time Luke met Sailor Moon and he wasn't completely out of it, given that Usagi presented very much the same way in both forms to someone who was Force-sensitive.
no subject
It felt so inadequate a word to use, but he was coming up empty on anything else to use. He pressed a hand against his forehead, trying to sort through the images in his mind into something more coherent.
"I mean... she seemed to glow, and she had wings that glowed too," he fumbled, not paying attention to Maul's reaction. "And... she had a kind face, but... she was so... sad."
He frowned slightly, remembering what Leia had said of their mother, and questioning what he thought he had seen. Maybe he was just delirious, and he was combining what he had thought of during that conversation with what he actually saw, but he couldn't say for certain. His head still felt like it was in a fog, like there was something tugging at his consciousness, trying to demand his attention.
Luke squeezed his eyes shut, rubbing at his eyes. "Maybe I'm just going crazy."
no subject
"No, you're not. I know of whom you are speaking. She is indeed as beautiful as a angel, kind and wise as well, but more powerful than the strongest Jedi and Sith combined. Her name is Sailor Moon. I have come across her before in my time in Deerington and now here in Trench." He'd seen Usagi use her powers so many times for good causes....and once on a murderous rampage that was absolutely terrifying. It had been something he would never forget. Sailor Moon was a fighter for good but she had the ability to obliterate all of Trench if she so wanted.
no subject
"Is she around often? This is the first time I've heard of her."
no subject
Maul went over and looked out the window with his back towards the Jedi so that Luke wouldn't see him with a wide grin on his face. "On occasion. She tends to show up when people need her the most before disappearing again."
