I just need some dry clothes and my family.

[He offered a small, tired smile before heaving a sigh of relief. Out of everyone, Ruby was one of the ones he had missed the most.]

--If any of our things survived. Did someone really burn our house down? Because they're totally banned from all parties in the future.

And from visits.

[Which, odds were, wasn't going to be any time soon.

Oscar shifted uncomfortably in the muck he had fallen into when the floor collapsed. While he wasn't injured, there didn't seem to be an easy route of escape.]

--I've got my leg, but I think it's water damaged or something. The joints and balance isn't right. Also, if you've got rope or shovels or something, that'd be a big help.

The floor here kinda collapsed with that last flood.

I can get you one of those things-

[There's an awkward pause before she laughs and adds in.]

Actually both- because we're still family, right? right?

[She asks as if that might have changed. She knows it hasn't.]

Yeah... Someone definitely did burn down our house. I have a few names regarding that- They're already on the banned list. I promise.

[She wasn't sure about a few other people but she'd have to look into that.]

Okay- I'll grab a repair kit with that too. Maybe we can get you up and running before we have to drag you out.

...Maybe I'll ask Ange to come along too. Just in case. We don't need to get ourselves more stuck down there.

[And he meant it. He never had any sisters before Ruby, but out of all of the ones he had seen she was ranked among the best. To the news, Oscar heaved a tired sigh.]

Lemme guess. Chara wasn't satisfied with just making an example of me and decided to vent their anger too-- right? Gosh, people in this town need hobbies that aren't destroying people's homes.

[That was the entire reason he had taken the measures he did in the first place. Trench was the place he chose-- and he wanted this bizarre land to be a place worth calling home.]

Yeah-- bring Ange too. There looks like there's some tunnels down here. Maybe they could help us find an easier way out?
