I'm a Hunter, so that's most of what I do, yeah. No shortage of crazy shit to kill.

[ Kainé narrows her eyes, wariness immediately cutting through the pleasant mood. ]

People, huh? What kinda people?

[opheliac]

Any kind, really. Whoever decides to look at me funny. (a short pause to give kainé an eyebrow raise; grinning.) — Almoooost like how you're starin' at me.

(but then she blows raspberries with her lips with a loud chuckle to follow after.)

HA HA, just kidding! ... Well, mostly.

[foulhussy]

If you start fucking around with that, I'll give you another hole to drink out of.

[ There's no laughter, nothing to signal she isn't completely serious. ]

That's not me kidding. Fucking try me.

[opheliac]

(what a sudden mood change. although the switch sends an almost forgotten tickle of excitement down her spine. her skin now covered in electric goosebumps; eyes aglow. with her locks yet still blue, there are a few streaks of yellow mixed in all the way down to her long braids. if appears jinx here is a coldblood and whatever mood she's in, her powers flare up.)

Oooo! — Is that a promise? I hope so 'cuz my weapons and I just hate when people break their promises. It's not nice to do, y'know? BUT!! What I like to do when someone decides to do that to me, I just tape a bomb right to their chests and let 'em hear the soft ticks to match their sweet beatin' hearts!!

(the look to the girl is innocent but the smile itself is waaay far from sinless. and then casually and nonchalantly, jinx taps her fingernail to whistle over the bartender for another drink. but this time, she asks for two. one for her and the other for kainé.)

[ Kainé doesn't flinch. Most Sleepers have powers of some sort, and its clear that Jinx is rather... erratic, to say the least. So she just has to know there will be consequences for making a mess, even if more likely than not, she won't necessarily be the one meting them out. ]

This is where I live. I don't appreciate people fucking it up. That's all there is to it.

[ She takes the drink without hesitation. It's not like she doesn't understand the impulse though. She's been wrong many times by many people. Cursed and ostracized and left out in the cold for what she was. Revenge can be sweet. It's not like she'd mind some of Trench's unsavory characters disappearing.

But this is her city. The first such place she could ever call home. She won't let it be torn apart. ]

I like you. (dare she lean in closer to see how much she can push with this girl? the smile tightly still in place, her hair shifting more to a blondish color by the second.) — I hope we'll get to talk more after this night is over. We could have a lotta fun, you and me. Don'tcha think so?

(without breaking the gaze, jinx reaches to her glass and raises the cup to her lips -- a slow and smooth sip with pinks aglow.)

Like I said. Taken.

[ She laughs wryly, taking another drink. She's pretty sure that's not what Jinx was talking about. She's still wary, but it doesn't look like she wants to start any fights now. ]

[opheliac]

Not even a lil' wiggle room for me? I'm really crushed.

(she's not. by any means. giving them space again, she gulps down her drink and then a stretch.)

So! When you're not being in here, what do you do?

[foulhussy]

[ She shrugs. Probably not? She's not really sure how this works. ]

I'm a Hunter. I hunt.

[opheliac]

Okaaaaay? I get you do that, but what else? There's gotta be more than that.

[foulhussy]

I'm learning some shit about gardening lately. Music too. Gonna play guitar.

[opheliac]

Gardening? Well, that's cute. Not my style, though. Now MUSIC!! That's something you and I can jam with.

(she grins wide at her pun. jinx sits there expecting kainé to pat her on the back for it or receive some sort of praise for her smart play on words thinking.)

[foulhussy]

[ Kainé looks decidedly nonplussed. But then again, she did just threaten to murder this woman. ]

What kind?

[opheliac]

What kind? Oh yeesh! Uh, I guess whatever my ears like. And so far, they haven't been picky.

[foulhussy]

All of it? Damn.

[opheliac]

I wouldn't say all but I'm sure I'll bump into somethin' I'll hate.

[foulhussy]

You into metal?

[opheliac]

Am I into metal? You have NO IDEA...!!

Heh. Guess you aren't too bad.

I'm good at being bad if ya mean that, though. Trust me, the earthquakes I make with my explosives are a WILD ride.

Keep 'em away from Trenchies and I won't come after you. As far as Sleepers go... well. I don't like all of 'em either.
