Who: Frisk and Chara
What: The Leap of Faith prompt for the event.
When: During the event.
Where: The alternate trench.
( The sensation of falling without actually doing so is strange. At this point, it almost feels like Frisk can't escape this very situation -- finding themselves in somewhere new, unusual -- and a little scary.
Still, it's the first time that they've woken up like this with little memory of just how they've ended up where they are now. They remember falling asleep in their own bed, and then once they had awoken, they couldn't recognize just where they were. It looks like the trench, but there's something incredibly wrong.
It isn't just the feeling they get from it -- as if it's far more desolate and empty than before, but there's far more destruction, too. The sound of thunder and sight of lightning is more than enough to motivate anyone to move, but the sight of monsters is what causes Frisk to push themselves upwards. All they can do is move forward, whether they're alone or not.
If they keep an eye out for anything, it's shelter -- or, perhaps a familiar face. )

They can feel their connection grow stronger as Chara approaches, barely flinching when they take the monster down with ease. It reminds them of when they had fallen underground together -- the monsters back then only wanted to hurt them.
There's some hesitance when they offer their hand, if only because they remember Chara's anger. )
... Okay. ( They reach for their hand then, looking back to the monsters for only a moment or so. )
When did we get separated?
( Had Chara woken up before ending up here? They remember falling asleep with them in their shared room with them. )
