[ The demon regards The Ranger's wound with concern. ]

Do you need help, with that?

[ Chin Yisou points to his arm. His attention further switches away from the beaten cultist under his foot, to the the bowl mentioned. As the two walk towards the altar, the remaining cultist flees with his ego broken. While peering into the sacrificial vessel, Chin Yisou's eyes open in curiosity. ]

Blood...but what's that poking through the surface?

[ The demon doubts the other would want to touch the pool. Despite himself, Chin Yisou takes his burnt hand and pulls out a rose. ]

Fascinating!

[ The demon is more intrigued by the potential necessities of such a bloom. He turns his gaze to The Ranger. ]

What do you make of this?

Yea rip this panel [shaking the extra fabric that dangles under his his free arm.] Put it just above here [pointing to the unharmed skin that lay just centimeters from the open gash.] cut and tie it tight. The tourniquet should slow the bleeding down.

[Dark circles rest just under his light eyes. He's tired, all that blood loss, and cursed energy seem to be settling in.

But the mention of the rose seems to revitalize his interest. Perking up, that's unbelievably lucky. Something he's definitely not used to. Moving towards the demon he peers into the bowl. The thick blood is not something he wants to touch. Nope. No thank you. But the rose and the bowl, those are important pieces.]
We need these to get back home. It's extremely hard to come by these flowers. [Nodding his head in approval.] Good find. Do you need me to store it?

[ Chin Yisou gives a short smile. ]

If you don't mind the blood, then that would be great.

[ He holds up the bloody rose. ]

I didn't arrive here with my usual bag.

[ A thought passes in the demon's mind. The way home? He wonders. ]

How is this flower key to returning back?

[Megumi's face pulls into a disapproving grimace.]

I'm spilling it, we don't know where it came from.

[And he's absolutely not putting that away in that condition. What if it leaks onto his weapons, or worse on his tea canister. Yup that's a nope.

Taking the bowl he pinches the rose, careful to avoid the thorns before pouring out the remains onto the soiled ground. Reaching into his murky shadow he places the two ingredients.]

There's a spell we need to preform in order to leave. One of the components is a rose.

[A relieving sigh.]

They're tough to find here, the cultists guard them with their lives.

Fascinating!

[ The demon cheers. He is excited to see that someone has a clue as to what they should be doing. He looks intrigued as The Ranger deposits the good in the shadow. ]

[ Before Chin Yisou can finish, a loud rumble shakes the ground. The cathedral glass shatters as the tremor cuts through. From outside the room, the two can hear the sounds of shouting and panicked feet. ]

Looks like we should leave now...

[ The demon smiles weakly. He scans for the nearest exit and waits for his fellow adventurer to make haste. ]

[Hearing the commotion stirs Megumi to action. Heading straight for the golden tabernacle, placing a single hand on the thin metal knob.

A quick jingle reveals that it's locked. With the voices getting louder, Megumi places the palm of his hand on the entire door. A surge of heat melts away the metal, leaving a thin layer of gold clinging to his skin. Eyes widen. Bingo.]

Take this!

[Neatly placed in the center is a white piece of paper, rolled up neatly and tied with a blood stained ribbon.

Head whips around-] We might be able to get out using that. [Pointing towards a rather small arched window. They should be able to fit out it... right...? ]

[ Chin Yisou nods and picks up the roll as directed. He places it within his robes. The demon stands beneath the window. With a smile, he finds something heavy to throw at the glass. This will do. Before he heaves a statue of some roach, Chin Yisou glances at the other. ]

Stand back.

[ The demon throws the statue through the window. The glass shatters leaving room to escape. Chin Yisou stands with his arms ready. ]

I can help hoist you up first.

[ Explosions begin to echo through the hallway. Whatever conflict is present outside reaches the inner sanctum. Soon the two can see flashes of other ropes passing by the doorframe. ]
