That was something even Luz had to deal with when she first met up with Eda and then with all of the friends she made. Sometimes they DID want to protect her, and despite wanting to be strong enough to take things on her own, there were time she absolutely did rely on them a little bit.

They were always going to care, and in turn, she would care right back what happened to them.
