11 . clockhouse rebuilding!
Who: Those who have offered to help rebuild the Clockhouse, and anyone else who'd like to pitch in!
What: An open mingle log to repair after fires and floods.
When: Throughout September, precise dates not specified.
Where: In Gaze, at the forest's edge.
[ When the weather and chaos dies down, work on the Clockhouse picks up. The building was once an old Deerington mansion, luridly green and eccentric; age faded it into half a ruin, and July's fire did the rest. August's flooding came fast and hard, and now there's very little left to salvage.
The first step has been a damage assessment, with volunteers picking through the structurally unstable ruins, finding singed fiction novels, crisped houseplants, and a weird number of melted grandfather clocks. Demolition goes quickly, while Ozpin stands by and does not even try to control the situation.
Volunteers are needed to design the new structure, carry in materials, and build... and then to decorate and enchant what they've created. The few Sleepers with genuine construction experience provide direction, Ozpin sometimes among them, but things are largely chaotic. A few Sleepers provide snacks and cheerleading.
This is a mingle log. Please feel free to make a toplevel, and comment with your character's contributions below! ]

CONTRIBUTIONS
Relevant skills or powers: [ e.g. construction, restoring damaged areas, space-warping... ]
Things that go well: [ any cool or useful contributions you'd like to make to the house? e.g. a wall mural, a magical fireplace, a library that's bigger on the inside... ]
Things that go weird: [ please leave Ozpin with a cursed, eclectic nightmare house. give us some quirks! e.g. a chimney that is going to fall on someone, holes in the floor, overzealous houseplants that eat small animals... ]
no subject
Relevant skills or powers: Architecture, like the actual regular kind with buildings, also Darkblood powers
Things that go well: Michael's actually just a regular-ass architect! He can design a normal and functional building!
Things that go weird: He's a weirdo, he's liable to go along with any strange suggestions people make as long as they're structurally sound and also Ange specifically doesn't veto it. Also sabotage him.
no subject
Relevant skills or powers: Darkblood powers, and more importantly, being a fancy rich Victorian man from Fantasy Englefrance
Things that go well: Break is a horrible bossy snot about the kitchen, on account of sometimes he escapes to Clockhouse and cooks there and the kitchen therefore belongs to him. He will be a massive pest at whoever is doing the real shit to prioritize the kitchen and also to arrange things in it to his standards, and once the bones are set, he spends a lot of time in there making it aesthetic. Do we need a pretty chandelier over the island? Absolutely not. Is he putting one there? Yes.
Predictably he also shows up with snacks and tea every day, and once the kitchen is actively usable, Break sets it up as his home base and cooks up giant batches of lunch and things for whoever is around that day.
Things that go weird: For the most part Break behaves himself, but he absolutely goes around turning the occasional green thing purple to amuse himself, and if left unsupervised with Ruby at all ever Ozpin can look forward to finding things like beautiful sculptures of butts hidden within his overwrought gold filigree. You're welcome.
no subject
Relevant skills or powers: Peter is possessed by a demon with a range of abilities that could be useful here. Paimon can use different types of telekinesis to move / manipulate objects (or.... violently set things on fire to get rid of them for clean-up). He can conjure "treasure" that could be used for construction or decorating purposes (currently, everything he conjures will be in his associated element and therefore solid gold...) He can also traverse walls and ceilings if anyone needs him to get up high,,,
Things that go well: Peter will be basically doing whatever's needed, and helping pick up things, tote things, make supply runs, etc. He's weak-willed and passes out a lot, but he should mostly be fine! Paimon will be working very hard to assist (fueled by his Important Demon Connections with Ange and Ruby) and also teaming up with Luna Lovegood as she gives him witchy direction for conjuring purposes. He'll be well-behaved and very much in Assistance Mode, happily in his element!
Things that go weird: Paimon will make lots of impractical, horrifically heavy, solid gold items. He will also be bringing over some of his collected supplies to provide Demon Crafts to decorate with. You might spot him making very nice things like this and lining them up outside! Given that the house is in Gaze, he will probably also be roaming around and putting more googly eyes on other random things.
no subject
Relevant skills or powers: Darkblood magic, architectural design, enchantments
Things that go well: Quality of life enchantments (soundproofing, proximity alarms, unbreakable windows); making sure any basements can still support the house; practical design sense; the nicest goddamn library so long as no one reminds him of the emotional implications; he will comply with nearly any request from Oscar.
Things that go weird: Overly practical design sense; basement will be unreasonably large; attic will be unreasonably spooky; his idea of necessary enchantments is questionable; he will comply with nearly any request from Ruby; watching him and Ozpin interact is going to be agonizingly awkward for any bystanders.
no subject
Relevant skills or powers: dressmaking, sewing
Things that go well: sansa has offered to replace the lost wardrobes of all clockhouse residents and has been taking measurements and requests. those staying with break and co probably already have an outfit or two each at this point.
she has also offered to make curtains. she has watched a lot of youtube videos about this. she will try very hard to get all the drapes right.
she is very glad to make tapestries if anyone wants!!
she cannot upholster but can buy in fabric and leather as needed
Things that go weird: she doesn't know exactly who was living in the clockhouse before this, besides ruby and ange. hypothetically someone could take advantage of this to score free bespoke outfits. just know the north remembers
she has a good eye and Opinions and might gently try to politely talk people out of bad design choices.....
lady is there
no subject
Relevant skills or powers: Art skills! Protective magic, and just magic in general — she can levitate things, blast rubble into pieces for easy demolishing, banish rubble, etc. Additionally: she has one boyfriend and his goetic demon coming along.
Things that go well: Luna is here to help with general things, but she is most importantly here to work on protective enchantments on the house with wardings and such to ensure that what happened doesn't happen again. She will also be around to paint generally, and also paint some very nice murals on the walls — which will include clockhouse themes, and even a mural to Moon Presence/Cynthia.
Things that go weird: Mostly the fact she's bringing her boyfriend + demon along. Peter's pretty much fine, but Paimon will be able to conjure gold objects under Luna's direction, and generally be a bit of spooky demon with climbing on the ceilings....
no subject
Relevant skills or powers: Actual Practical Carpentry. Farmlad's gonna farmlad, and he didn't spend his first winter in Deerington fixing every single squeaky door for nothing.
Things that go well: Oscar's domain tends to revolve around the kitchen. It's homey. Otherwise, he's pretty good at coming up with plans and helping with the measurements for the overall structure.
Things that go weird: He has a horse with a bad attitude shadowing him, so there is a HORSE in the CONSTRUCTION ZONE.
no subject
Relevant skills or powers: Small but strong. Great at handling tools and hardware. Capable of handling any sort of wiring, or piping situation.
Certified leader. Great at organizing a movement.
Things that go well:
- Great morale support.
- Lifts heavy things like woah!
- She lives there so knows where things go.
- All around great at coordinating and helping out
Things that go weird:
- Her and Gideon made a Calendar to drum up support for this. It... Has little to do with actual matter at hand. But there are two strong girls flexing a lot and posing with a corgi. So that's something?
- Work occasionally gets delayed by impromptu snack breaks, cookie breaks, flexing and making things look much harder than they actually are.
- There are a lot of pumpkins with butts carved into them showing up around the property.
- She's insisting things that don't need a built in gun, have the option of getting a gun built in.
awright IM IN
Relevant skills or powers: Darkblood space warping - specializes in weight/gravity shenanigans so she can transport materials or act as a crane. Has an aesthetic. Is not above going off and finding a shipwreck for some pre-fabricated furniture.
Things that go well: Honestly some of this second hand furniture is pretty dope, and several pieces have the property of always sticking to the floor if in an environment that's pitching and rolling, which is relevant to this landlubber house because:
Things that go weird: Look. Sometimes you're having a nice nap in a particular spot and don't want the sun in your eyes. And that's why she's installing this CAPTAINS WHEEL which is gonna steer the entire house around on its axis. X axis or Y axis? I dunno, Alice isn't a very good engineer.
no subject
Relevant skills or powers: Lance has a good amount of experience building structures, he likely did it for his family's farm and other restoration efforts in his canon. He enhanced those skills helping to build F.E.A.R. and a barn in Deerington and to repair massive damage to a few blocks in Prufrock as well as his own house in Trench. Can cut down and transport lots of lumber. Also has powers that can help with welding and general metal work.
Things that go well: Lance has a p good working understanding of engineering and is good for getting in there and doing grunt work to reach the minimum requirement of: build something safe that wont collapse.
Things that go weird: He's kind of got that 'watch me fit my whole fist in my mouth and stand on my head' frat boy energy. If someone (/cough/Ruby/cough) has some wild and dangerous ideas about workplace etiquette and safety… he can be egged into doing something stupid. Also, though his powers are excellent for welding, he is not entirely in control and if startled to the extreme or made upset enough he might… melt a whole structural beam or set the place on fire. Again.
But if none of that happens, no weird lasting issues from Lance!update: Congrats! You now have a metal post that melted to look like boobs are on one side and a charred section of floor, but I hear Shou Sugi Ban is in these days?no subject
Relevant skills or powers: Legit OP advanced telekinesis, conjuration, and reality warping. She can legit create anything and it'll be the real deal. She's built a house before within minutes, ha. (She's also an Architect.)
Things that go well: Wanda spoke to Ange and Ange expressed a need for permanent things, so anything that needs to remain permanent can be assigned to Wanda's doing.
Things that go weird: Since it's Wanda and she's a big lover of television, the walls might turn into a static red every now and then. tbh, she's mostly here to connect with Ange about her magic. She'll see if she can help, but considering there are many people involved, she won't be putting her hands in too many pies for this one to allow for weird shit to happen.

Got any ideas for how it should look? Ange said she didn't want it to have guns on the outside or be shaped like an ice-cream cone. I kinda thought the clock thing was cool though, honestly.
[Once it gets to the actual construction process...well, Michael doesn't have as much practical experience there. He'll mostly be hanging around, occasionally producing materials with a snap of his fingers.]
Let me know if you need anything. I know what we should be building with.
( design )
No one seemed to mind how ostentatious it was before, so I don't see why we shouldn't aim for something in line with the rest of the city.
[ He will not comment on whether they should allow the clock aesthetic to endure, since he knows he can't be unbiased in that regard. What he will say is: ]
If you do include clocks, make sure there's space for thorough soundproofing in the walls. It could get noisy in there.

[Break is certainly no architect, doesn't know construction, and isn't the most powerful magic-user around by a long shot; he also has the sense to stay out of the way of those who do possess these skills. What he can do is cook for large groups of people, so he makes this his primary duty. During the design phase he mostly cooks at home and leaves everything on the designated snack table when he arrives, before flitting off to either be a pain in the ass at whoever is working on the Clockhouse kitchen until he gets his way about how he thinks it ought to be laid out or popping home to do more baking. But as soon as the new kitchen is safe and workable, that's where he sets himself up, relieved to be away from his own kitchen now that other experienced cooks sometimes take up space in it.
Anyone who wants to drop by to help him out with washing dishes or peeling things, trot out on food-related errands on his behalf as he slowly stocks the kitchen, or simply to eat will find him cooking up foods that are easy to grab. Things like mushroom hand pies, cheesy garlic bread, and potato wedges. For the most part he leaves the desserts to other bakers, but occasionally for variety he'll knock out a batch of some cookie or other, and he'll drop most everything for that if someone manages to find him chocolate chips.
And of course there is also, always, tea. Wildcard whatever kitcheny kind of thing you'd like here.]
Darkblood Shenanigans
[Ozpin is not simply Tall Break, as his omen likes to joke about very rudely, but damned if they don't have very similar aesthetics in many ways. To that end whenever Break has some downtime, he entertains himself contributing to making the new house relentlessly fancy and pompous, and is not above climbing on things for this purpose. He can be found in all sorts of places, such as perched on the kitchen island as he finagles a chandelier with his limited conjuring skills or sitting on the floor fondling doorknobs with his eyes closed until he can persuade carvings to form beneath his hands.
Enjoy your fancy toilet paper dispenser, sir.
Other times, however, he is pretty obviously up to mischief -- he especially likes turning random green things purple for Ozpin to find later and sigh at -- and he is gleefully unrepentant when caught. If he's especially smug about admiring his handiwork, you can be almost certain a butt is involved, which is really Ruby's fault in the end but Break does absolutely nothing to discourage her sense of humor.]
It just seemed like a lovely place for a bum, you know? I'm told he really loves the moon.
[Now is the time to drag him into further aesthetic crimes. Chances are very high he will not resist and will in fact be happy to help make it worse.]
no subject
It shouldn't be hard to dodge if he's looking in the right direction, and even if it does hit him, it's not even a particularly thick book. It won't be enough to give him a concussion, either way.
Because it's not the book itself that matters. No, it's the outburst that follows it, coming from a slight distance away where Break might find Ange standing, hands angrily on her hips. ]
Xerxes Break, did you forget I have to live within these walls too?!
[ How dare you put dumb decorations in her house! The betrayal!! The one time she actually uses his full name, and it's just to scold him as if he's some sort of particularly naughty puppy.. ]

Peter Graham (+ 1 demon)
Passed out
[Depending on how conscious Peter is, he might hear the thud of Ruby's boots as she approaches. And... The claws of chickens lightly stepping over him briefly before they cluck and clutter away.
A couple seconds latter there are two hands grabbing his ankles and dragging him across the ground.]
Jeez. How am I going to explain this to Luna?

During the demolition she spends a lot of time knocking over pillars, breaking up large chunks of rubble, and clearing ground space for future construction. She makes liberal use of lasers both large and small in the process, particularly when it comes to knocking down structures that are still standing. And when she doesn't have her own task assigned to her, she doesn't hesitate to approach others with a cheerful: ]
Excuse me! Are you in need of assistance?
[ Even given her prowess at blowing things up, construction is when Penny really shines. She's not much for designing things, but she's fantastic at picking up and moving heavy objects. Plus, her literally robotic precision means she's unparalleled when it comes to spacing out wall framing, laying bricks, and welding things together (again with her lasers). She's got her limits, though, and finally encounters one in earnest when it comes time to lift one of the roof's central ridge beam into place. Deciding how to tackle it is tricky, and she ends up suggesting: ]
Maybe we could try lifting it with a pulley and Darkblood, and then I can help make sure it's in place?
Construction
That's not a bad idea. But the dark bloods are mostly tied up with other things at the moment.
Maybe if you start to lift it with your swords. I can pop in underneath and make like a me shaped block of ice with my aura to support it and give you break as we lift it up. I could probably do it a few times until we get it up.
It's not the most effective way but it could work.

Raised on a farm and granted the time to hone his skills, what he lacked in actual combat capacity he made up for with his brain for plans, mechanical workings, and numbers. The stable where the cows and his horse named Shortcake lived was his primary workspace. It was familiar, and he had hidden some drafting supplies amid the horse tack for when he just wanted to sketch out a few plans with the animals as company.
Once equipped with his basic tools, he set about helping with the drafting. Naturally, he would defer to people with more experience, but he didn't spend the train ride to Argus reading tech manuals for nothing.
Once drafting was completed, he could be found fussing over plans for the kitchen. He welcomed other people getting involved, but he wanted to double check and make sure that Ruby hadn't snuck any explosive surprises into the details. Overall, he also wanted to make sure that it was Ruby and Ange Proof.
Shadowing him the whole time is the large black stallion he had met early on during his stay in the Dream. Shortcake, as the horse was affectionately dubbed, shadowed Oscar the whole time-- either right by his shoulder or staring balefully from afar. It was as if the beast had made it his objective to protect the farmlad from further danger, and its ominous aura certainly had a way of fending off anyone with ill intent.
Even if it meant drawing curious eyes in exchange.]
no subject
It also means, you know, someone who actually lives in the Clockhouse and thus has more say in the matter is on his side here, as Break and Oscar have a great many of the same priorities in how the room should work. Look, it's not Break's kitchen and he knows that, but also he likes to be in it and play in it and he is spiritually a spoiled housecat and therefore it is in fact his kitchen actually.]
We ought to move the sink from the countertop to the island, don't you think? [He leans over Oscar's shoulder as he makes this observation and does not care about Shortcake; his house has a nightmare steed lurking on the grounds these days.] That puts a water source in a more central location. Less scurrying about in a frenzy if certain someones set a fire somewhere.
[Look. The certain someones have been living in his house lately. He is aware.]

She's generally easy to approach and willing to assign a job. Or she's right along helping out by lifting heavy wooden support beams onto the property. She might even be seen with a home made Power saw/nail gun cutting up pieces of flooring into shape and nailing them in.
Of course it wouldn't be Ruby Rose if there wasn't some chaos going on. Aside from the calendars and butt pumpkins. There's the sound of a squeal as a handful of chickens run by with Ruby in pursuit.]
General Henstable! Get back here! This is mutiny!
no subject
When he is not doing this, though, much like Xerxes he defaults to following one of The Nieces around. Both of them often have tasks for him to do, and anyway, the omen enjoys their company. He trots up to Ruby now with his tail all a-swish because he has just completed another small errand on her behalf, and he has a very large box of nails for the gun in his mouth.]

Shiro will take part in the demolitions, partly because one of his hands is literally sledgehammer. And partly because there are a few people around he doesn't want to have actual sledgehammers.
He'll also be around to carry materials. Whether it's hoisting two-by-fours over his shoulder, pushing carts of brick - or just plain carrying boxes around. Tell him what you need, he'll go grab it for you.
And hey, if you happen to feel a bit more powerful than usual around him? Well hey! His warmblood power boost is still in effect.
no subject
Still, she can mostly ignore it. What matters to her so much more is the fact that Shiro is here and helping out at all - it means quite a bit to her.
Enough that she approaches Shiro mid-demolition. Even with one of his arms being.. well, the way that is it, she can't help but worry a little after seeing him knock so much stuff down with it.
"Aren't you going to hurt yourself if you keep that up?" .. Or, well, she isn't sure if he has actual feeling in that arm.. But even if he doesn't, he might break it, which also seems bad?!
Don't mind Ange fussing over here, even though she mostly manages to keep her facial expression a pokerface for now.

That said, he is feeling the effects of the weather a lot more than usual. Like... a lot. Slight chill in the air? He'll be covered head to toe in super warm clothes. A little warm today? Sweating like crazy and stripped down to a tank top and pants. In fact, he'll be dressing in layers all month so he can hopefully adapt on the fly.
Re: OTA! will match format
There's someone here who also isn't an architect, but she was more than willing to take direction and see what people who were building might need her to do. She promised she'd help here and was dedicated to doing just that. It did help to see some familiar faces though.

She keeps mostly to herself, although sometimes there may be a streak of scarlet magic that overtakes a wall and help either paint it or fix it. A piece of timber and that heavy weight you might feel you're going to collapse over disappears and is replaced with the lightness of a feather.
Wanda wants to help, but she doesn't want to overstep. There's a fine line between being in the way and overtaking an entire house and manipulating the people inside into her sitcom. (There's only ever extremes with Wanda Maximoff.)
"Do you need help?" she'll ask to those who may be looking curiously at walls and doors or struggling to pick up items (or may simply have their hands too full) or who may need an item created.
And when she's not offering her own assistance, Wanda spells portions of the house to remain stable and strong. Permanent, if you will. Fireproof. Waterproof. Anything proof. Her work will be obvious by a thick scarlet tinge to what she's working on—walls will be coated in red and floors in scarlet. Her magic feels warm and not at all intrusive and looks effortless with the way she may wave her hand or wriggle her nose. Most of the time, she'll hold her hands up and they'll glow red as she manipulates a wall to patch itself back together.

"I do! Maybe you could help."
Wanda looks pretty unassuming, but in Remnant it was never a good idea to judge based on appearances. In Trench it's an even worse idea.
"I want to knock down the chimney--" She turns and points. "--but I want to be sure it and the wall both fall in the same direction." And now she glances back to Wanda. "If there anything you can do that might help?"

[Qrow Branwen is not necessarily the person you want around a bunch of people with power tools. However, tearing down the remains of the building while existing as a literal bad luck charm is a much easier proposition than building something back up, so he's fully present to participate in that portion of the activities. It helps that if anything goes sideways, he is also a man with a shotgun-scythe to knock away any rubble, and one that can turn into a bird to fly from spot to spot more quickly. Occasionally you might find a bird suddenly touch down as a human right in front of you, even! Magic sure is wild.]
ii. construction junction
[Qrow is of course a bit more hands-off at this stage of the process, preferring to keep some distance between himself and a bunch of people that could get hurt helping rebuild his house -- but given that it is in fact his house being rebuilt, he'd also feel awful if he just didn't help out at all. So instead he can be seen carrying the supplies to the people actively engaged in construction, and every so often he helps someone hold something in place while they cut it into appropriate length pieces or hammer in some nails. (Aura keeps his fingers blessedly unsmashed and in their correct number of pieces throughout this process)
For the rest of the the time, he keeps watch from a distance, just in case there's anyone who obviously needs help.]
iii. enter cassandra
[Of course, everyone needs to take breaks to rest at some point or another. Qrow, for his own part, starts to fade a little toward sunset, drifting off in an unintentional nap.
So it goes that he happens to be asleep when a poorly secured beam slips from its position and falls toward someone hammering nails nearby, and instead of a bird or a man fluttering to their side -- there's a flurry of black smoke instead which resolves into a creature with white fur and navy blue skin. Perhaps it pushes you out of the way, or smashes the pillar with its own horn, but you'll find a gentle pressure in your mind all the same that has all the feeling of being shushed.
He's asleep, comes the explanation in a young woman's voice, then, as the creature nods toward Qrow.
I would rather he didn't meet me quite in this way, after all this time.
She has been so very patient, after all, with his refusal to acknowledge any kind of reflection of his soul manifest. She does not want him to resent her for appearing against his will.]
iii. cassandra
Back by the creature's side, Duty glances at the sleeping man. Qrow has been here far longer than Duty. If he's right, from the beginning, from the dream itself. Odd to go so long without meeting one's omen. Not happenstance, certainly.
Why have you not met? Duty asks silently, voice as deep as the one he speaks with. Conversations with omens comes naturally by this point. Some of this best friends are omens.

Neopolitan Sustrai | Wide Open
Neopolitan was around most during the deconstruction of what remained. She made an appearance very early on with a wheelbarrow and spent a lot of her time just hauling the stone away and clearing debris and rubble. This was the easiest job for her to do, after all. She knew there were going to be people who didn't really want her to see anything that might be considered security in the new house, and she wasn't going to push back. She just wanted to help a little bit.
At times, though, she almost seemed to be in a fugue. There was a wheelbarrow in front of her, full of stuff and she was rubbing her left hand, staring at the glove in confusion and then looking around. It was almost like something wasn't adding up in her head. Other times, she was busily at work and would pause after dumping another batch to type one-handed on her omni, if someone wanted to chat. Either way? She was around.
2) Construction/Security
Hey, she could help with pounding a few nails. It wasn't really that big of a deal, and she hadn't caused any trouble, so she kept it up once they started to build. Smoothing out concrete for the foundation or nailing boards together, she kept at it when she was free.
Eventually, though, she set down the hammer and just kept an eye from a distance. Her gaze, though, was more out and about, not on what was going on. She kept up a quiet patrol and eyes on the nearest portion of the woods. It was the Hunter in her, watching for trouble. There were enough in this place that any monster foolish enough to show was in for it, but this was still an easy job to do, and an easier time to chat with her.
3) Lunch Break
When she wasn't working, Neo did occasionally take a little picnic lunch break. She opened up a satchel with a meal. Eggs, mushrooms, something dark and leafy, and a bit of fish jerky. Yum. She had learned a long time ago that she wasn't going to really get the most tasty of dishes, so she was starting to get used to finding ways to make the whole mushroom obsession in this town at least palatable.
When someone approached, though, she gestured to the other side of the blanket she was sitting on. Care to join her?
demo
She pointed at NP, then held out a thumbs up gesture and waved it in a small circle in front of her. "You okay?" she asked, using her voice so she didn't exhaust all three or four sign language gestures she'd tried her damnedest to learn. "Something on your mind?"
And I'm back!

Battler Ushiromiya | Very Open
[ Battler's here to help, of course. How could he not be? It's his sister and the people his sister cares about. The idea of not being here was alien to him. Even with his powers, he's not a designer or anything - but he can provide a lot of muscle as a young, healthy guy. So she's out there with a crowbar knocking things over, tearing out rubble, or just carting stuff out of the way. He might need a hand with a few bigger pieces of debris, though. Especially since he's not that much stronger than your average guy. He pauses, mopping his brow. ]
Hey, help me life this, will you? Let's get this beam out of the way-
2. Rebuild
[ The building feels better, somehow. Like he's adding something back into the world rather than taking out. Like he's able to pour some of the love he wasn't able to pass on to Ange into this building so that it'll last. So that it'll be a home for her, here in this strange place, far away from everything else they've ever known. He's up and down ladders, helping with framing, and toting things hither and yon. He bends over a long beam and squints as he carefully marks it and then he glances up. ]
Mind holding this for me?I need to try and cut...
[ Which... should be easy. Right? Right. ]
3. Wildcard
[ Invent your own! ]
2
[ Granted. Granted. This isn't some sarcastic remark - for once, since that definitely wouldn't have been uncommon when coming from Ange of all people.
Instead she seems a little genuinely concerned for his safety here. It's not very audible in her tone, but at the very least it makes her voice sound more neutral than sarcastic as she's glancing at the guy while he's looking at the beam. ]
Have you done it before?
[ P-Please don't get injured in the middle of a construction site? ]

luna lovegood (+1 passed out bf)
... Which doesn't always go so swimmingly, with the demon unintentionally going overboard and ending up burning out Peter — sending him crumpling into a heap face-first into the ground. She'll be found sitting quietly with an unconscious Peter when she finds him passed out, the boy's head resting in her lap while she strokes his hair and murmurs softly to him. She doesn't look to worried; he'll be fine, it's fine.
As the house takes shape, Luna is very much in her element with decorating. She can be found painting the interior walls and even take it upon herself to paint murals to liven the walls up a bit. Painting rather abstract patterns and plants in some places or doing delicate flowers around doorways. On a particular wall, she might be persuaded to add in a mural dedicated to Moon Presence: a huge moon sitting above the Pthumerian Ocean. In the sky, Moon Presence curves around one side of the moon. On the other, closer to the ground, is Cynthia Sodder; dressed in white with her golden hair floating about her head, her expression kindly with her eyes closed as she holds a fawn in her arms. For those who've met Cynthia, they'll note a striking accuracy — she looks incredibly life-like, as if the very paint itself is breathing.
In addition, once things are just about complete, Luna will be working on placing protective enchantments on the Clockhouse. She'll work on both the exterior and interior, casting charms over rooms and windows. For those magically sensitive there'll be a pleasant hum in the air — a gentle yet powerful charge from each cast. Others will see the air shift before her as she utters enchantments, soft white-blue light lifting from the floor to ceiling. She's working hard to ensure what happened isn't repeated so easily. ]

Still, it's hard to quieten that voice in her mind that fusses and worries when she spots Luna sitting there with Peter's head in her lap, so Ange slowly approaches when she's got a moment between trying to direct various people here at the construction site. ]
.. Luna.
[ Ange speaks softly, just in case Peter is only asleep and is taking a nap, or something like that.. So she makes sure to get close enough so the girl can hear her without Ange having to be loud about it. ]
Is everything okay..?
