11 . clockhouse rebuilding!
Who: Those who have offered to help rebuild the Clockhouse, and anyone else who'd like to pitch in!
What: An open mingle log to repair after fires and floods.
When: Throughout September, precise dates not specified.
Where: In Gaze, at the forest's edge.
[ When the weather and chaos dies down, work on the Clockhouse picks up. The building was once an old Deerington mansion, luridly green and eccentric; age faded it into half a ruin, and July's fire did the rest. August's flooding came fast and hard, and now there's very little left to salvage.
The first step has been a damage assessment, with volunteers picking through the structurally unstable ruins, finding singed fiction novels, crisped houseplants, and a weird number of melted grandfather clocks. Demolition goes quickly, while Ozpin stands by and does not even try to control the situation.
Volunteers are needed to design the new structure, carry in materials, and build... and then to decorate and enchant what they've created. The few Sleepers with genuine construction experience provide direction, Ozpin sometimes among them, but things are largely chaotic. A few Sleepers provide snacks and cheerleading.
This is a mingle log. Please feel free to make a toplevel, and comment with your character's contributions below! ]

Yeah, I was the one who suggested the guns. Ange is a huge party pooper sometimes. But I guess we have to make do.
[She taps her chin thought briefly.]
Oz is nuts about the clocks though. I think you're safe to throw in a bunch of those.
What if we kind of added in a whole little clock tower to it?

[But yeah he was drafted by Ange, so. You'd probably have to bribe him or something.]
Oooh, that could be fun! Something a little different from the old one - and you could go up there and hang out! [...] And shoot people from it, if you wanted.
no subject
[Yeah. Look she was not sentencing herself to a future on the couch by trying to get around Ange's rules here. She would take the L.]
Yeah! Back home- Oz had like a big office in the middle of a clock tower back in our school. Maybe we could do something that doubled as that too?
[Her good eye brightens when he mentions that.]
Yeah, yeah! We could put like little windows in the clock faces. And I could snipe monsters and stuff from there.

[Sitting in the middle of a clocktower as it chimes? Terrible.]
And sure, nothing wrong with a watchtower in a place like this.
no subject
[Ruby. That is not how that works.]
Might help us spot people who want to burn down our house before they're inside next time around.

Well not really complicated- The ring leader took ownership over the network. Their name is Chara. The little toddler with the attitude problem.
A few others were involved too but- They're reasons were a little varied or affected by the month at large.

[Which he assumes is why he didn't see that post. Probably for the best - if he had, presuming it happened before the Beast incident, he'd probably have just gone and Beasted out over that. Which really wouldn't have helped anything house-wise.]
How the hell did a toddler set fire to your house?
no subject
[She wasn't about to hold it against anyone there.]
I mean to be fair, they had some help. Vira-Lorr was pretty heavy on the corruption and Reaper was kind of upset with some of my housemates. That and a friend who was going through it thought the best way to protect me was to kidnap me during the fight.
...That's at least part of the story about how it happened.
no subject
[Yeah! That's a lot! Michael looks a little abashed, but he's willing to admit:]
I was, uh, having trouble with the corruption too. That's why I wasn't around.
no subject
And honestly. I'm glad you're doing okay after all that.
I'm pretty sure Ange would be awfully torn up if something happened to you.
no subject
[He's flustered. Of course he is.]
no subject
Because if something happens to you and Ange gets upset. I'll jump in there, help you as best as I can, and then I'll sock you one!
no subject
[He's teasing, mostly.]
