The way you're worryin' over me is adorable. But yeah, I can still look at it.

(and by the looks of things from afar, they might be reaching out of the woods? she can see lights but not from the moon or the compass itself.)

I'd say we book it but I don't think my legs will carry me over. — If you wanna go on ahead, feel free. Looks like it's gonna be a straight shot.

[ There's a moment where Chizuru does look ahead of them, spotting the faint lights. It's true that if she'd run, maybe she would arrive there pretty soon. It's probably close enough to actual civilisation that there won't be any monsters to make it harder on her.

.. and technically Jinx should be fine too, even if Chizuru were to leave the other one by herself, but.. a part of her doesn't like that idea, even though they are literally and metaphorically almost out of the woods.

Still clinging to the other's arm, Chizuru shakes her head. ]

I'm staying here with you.

[ Even if it means it'll take a bit longer to get back to town than if she were to run. ]

I want to make sure you get home, after all. [ Usually she'd have full faith in Jinx being able to do that, since she seems capable enough, but.. when she's this tired, and there's the risk of the other just falling over and dropping asleep?

Chizuru doesn't want that to happen. She wants to make sure the other is safely back at home, and then Chizuru can go back to her own house. Hopefully the streets will be quiet enough for that to happen without any trouble. ]

Oooohh, now you're my escort, huh? I'll take it.

(quite honestly, jinx is perfectly okay with falling asleep on a bench or in an alleyway like a homeless person. but then again, a bed does sound more pleasing to the ears than gravel. they make it out of the woods soon, thankfully.

and it seems they are now in PRUFROCK by the looks of things. chizuru may be more familiar with the area than jinx. there's still many spots in trench as a whole she hadn't explored yet.)

— Well, that was fun!! Looks like we're in the clear.

[tealeafs]

[ Chizuru releases a soft breath - it's very close to a sigh of relief, really. ]

I'm not so sure about the 'fun' part.. It was kind of scary. [ Look, she may be a little too honest for her own good here, but it's true! Chizuru isn't worried about admitting to ever being scared. She knows she isn't the toughest person around. ]

But.. I know you're the main reason I got out of there.

[ Since Jinx was keeping her head cool.

.. you know, as far as Jinx ever keeps her head cool. In her own Jinx way. ]

So-- thank you. [ She releases the other's arm, though mostly so she can politely bow. ] I definitely owe you some baked goods now.

Hey, it's not a big thing. But I am lookin' forward to those goods, though.

(doing a light play of catch with the compass then a flip between her fingers, jinx extends it out for the other girl.)

Somethin' to remind this night by. (a jokingly wink.) — Or I can keep it. Doesn't matter me to in the end. I can just make these babies in a snap.

No, if you're alright with it-- then I'll take it.

[ Usually Chizuru would hesitate a little more about this sort of thing, not wanting to be too selfish. But as she reaches out to take the compass, she doesn't feel so bad about it this time. Maybe it's because Jinx is saying that she could easily make one herself - and given what the other has told her before, Chizuru is more than willing to believe that the other could.

.. Or maybe it's-- ]

I'd like to remember tonight, after all. [ She smiles at the other as she says it. ] For example.. how it started out kind of scary, but then turned out just fine in the end.

[ That's a good thing to remember, right? In case she ever ends up in another dangerous situation. ]

And how it turned out that way since we were in it together!

(she happily hands it over then buffs up her chest with her hands on her hips. her ego swelling like a balloon which can be a very dangerous thing to a psychopath like her.)

Duh! — Course it was gonna turn out okay! That was just baby kid stuff. If the "Whatevers" was going to toss us in the middle of nowhere with nothin' but the clothes on our backs, they oughta make it more of a challenge. It was puttin' me asleep. Literally!!

[ Despite the way other people might react to this attitude, or Jinx treating a potentially dangerous situation so lightly.. Chizuru seems to take it pretty well. She's still smiling, and as she ducks her head a little, it's even like she's faintly laughing. ]

Well, I don't think it's a good idea to put it like that, or they might really make it more dangerous next time..

[ And Jinx may enjoy that, but Chizuru sure wouldn't. Especially when she can't really defend herself well. ]

But it's good to see you so energetic! [ Especially since she really did threaten to fall asleep back there. ] Do you think you can make it home this way..?

Yeah, I think I can manage. If I can't, I'll just sleep in the streets.

(she says this so casually and lightly. but given how she is spark with some energy (walking is exercising), jinx might be able to make it home quickly if she sprints.)

— And you? Think you can handle your own without your hero?

[tealeafs]

I'll try my best. [ Chizuru knows to not make promises she can't keep, after all. And while she intends on getting home just fine, you never fully know for sure what you encounter on your way..

Which is definitely part of why she'll let Jinx get away with calling herself Chizuru's hero - because she is! - but less with the other part of what she's saying. Sure, Chizuru feels like it's maybe not her place to say this, but.. well, she's the one standing here, rather than anyone who knows Jinx better than she does, so she can't help but add: ]

S-So.. um, please do your best as well! I'll get really worried about you if you sleep out on the streets, you know..? Let's both do our best to get home okay!

(she'll get worried? what a strange girl she is. they barely know each other and yet she is fretting so much over jinx as if they've known each other for months, years even. since her "birth", she never had a "human" friend before. and she ponders if all living organisms behave this way. jinx observed many people in zaun and piltover but she hadn't recalled anyone who operate like chizuru.

so as she stands, the look of jinx may be mistaken she is suddenly bored with her or having lack of interest with her words. it's not the intention, truly. she is merely soaking in this girl's behavior and words. )

(— the next thing that happens is rather quick. in fact before this, one might believe jinx was just an ordinary human who has pink eyes for whatever reason. but she is more than a simple human. she is one who is chemically altered. the color of her eyes glisten hauntingly in the dark before there's a sudden movement from her. she's in one spot and now suddenly in her person space the next. her body a blur when she moved; a pink glow that trail behind when did she so. it's one of her abilities of being mixed with shimmer -- to have inhuman speed and strength.

so now that she is once again in that personal bubble of the girl, the smile forms steadily along her face. a smile fill with such wickedness and a low sinful chuckle of mischievous play.)

Y'know... being my cuddle buddy tonight is still on the table. If you're THAT worried about lil' ol' me.

(is this a one final hurrah to get the girl squeak or is she serious about her coming to her treehouse? it's hard to tell the truth intent of a loose cannon like jinx.)

[ The thing Jinx is suddenly pulling off here would have been so much stranger to Chizuru years ago. Before she realised that actual demons and vampires existed in her world with abilities beyond human nature. Before she ended up here in Trench, and witnessed people having all sorts of special powers--

Like Jinx's own here, with the way she's suddenly so close, before Chizuru even fully realises what's going on. It leaves the fact that Jinx has special powers like this perhaps not so surprising in nature, but her suddenly pulling them out right now - and in this way - makes it a little startling all the same.

Not a scared kind of startling. Chizuru trusts the other, it's just--

Oh gosh, she's so close, and she's offering w-w-what?

(Chizuru, this is not the moment for gay panic!) ]

W-What? U-Um..!

[ There we go. There's the squeak you wanted, Jinx. Along with Chizuru blushing, and her eyes nervously darting around. ]

A-Are you worried about being attacked at home, t-then? [ Please, like that is why Jinx would need a cuddle buddy.

Also, yes, Chizuru is taking this entirely too seriously - as with everything ever. ]

( oh the sheer innocence. how can someone like herself not partake and try to ruin it? to forbid herself from grabbing her wrist and show her what her devilish world has to offer? it's almost a crime to have this girl even tip-toe in a pool of wicked but maybe it's why jinx wants to. no one would dare but she would.

and what would happen if she leans in further? will she scurry away? stay put? hm, well. sometimes you must do a little trial and error to experiments and projects to get an solid answer. so jinx takes another slow step and a slow veer to the other with her pinks lock tight to her browns. )

I'd say it won't happen but... I had a demon break in once before. Still not afraid, no.

W-Well..!

[ The - perhaps - fascinating thing here is that Chizuru doesn't step back. She does lean backwards a little bit when Jinx is coming so very close, but it's like she's either frozen to the spot or feels like it'd be too rude to step back..

Hence why Chizuru is just leaning back as much as she can, because being that close is so flustering. ]

I think.. um, I-I mean, we don't know each other so well, so cuddling might be a little-- forward? [ Said as if she was the one who suggested it, rather than Jinx being all scandalous here. ] But if you end up in trouble again, and.. um, m-maybe you don't have anyone at home to help you, y-you could call me and I'd rush over..!

( so there is a limit, huh? good. it'd be a little disappointing if this was that easy to obtain. not just for her but for anyone else who wishes to do what she's doing with her. a subtle rumble of her throat as she pulls back with her fingers twisting behind her. the smile she wears loses it's crooked edge -- it turns small yet content. and without a word, she side-steps away from the girl with an odd sway. her long blue braids trailing on behind as she walks ahead; leaving chizuru. )

Sleep well, Cutie voice.

( she bids farewell so sweetly as she ventures on to the nearest lamp to teleport her home. )

[ It's a little sudden. The way Jinx seems to totally drop the topic, pulling back, and then saying only that before she's already leaving - and Chizuru doesn't chase after her or anything either. Instead she just stands there for a few moments, watching Jinx leave until she can't be seen anymore.

.. a little sudden, but not.. bad, maybe? Sure, Chizuru may slowly start to realise she did get teased a little bit just now, but she doesn't find herself annoyed or hurt by it. If anything, that little smile Jinx gave her at the end makes up for a lot.

Once she realises she's getting lost in thought, Chizuru quickly starts to move to get home as well. ]
