(she walks a little further until she leans against a tree to take a small break. and with him being so far ahead now, she shouts to him from the back:)

[He doesn't go too far without her, at least, though he does keep an eyebrow raised as he moves to make that turn.]

Can't say I've been a big fan of any of the monsters that've tried to kill me over the decades, actually, no matter how many different types come at me.

[Not that he doesn't enjoy fighting, honestly, but the "for your life" part gets exhausting, especially when you've been at it since you could reasonably hold a blade.]

( and lets hope his reflexes are spot on or he isn't clumsy. the object speeds up into the air and drops pretty drastically due to gravity. will he grab it before it smashes into the ground into pieces again? )
