(mostly open) oh this love would kill me
Who: Ange, Ruby, and you!
What: Ruby and Ange's wedding, and all their CR is invited!
When: Late October
Where: The rebuilt Clockhouse
Content Warnings: Semi-irresponsible weapon usage.

Sometime around the beginning of October invitations would have started to be sent out to the various people in Trench Ange and Ruby know - announcing the two girls' wedding at the end of the month.
When the day itself comes, people will find the location - the newly rebuilt Clockhouse, which some of the invitees may have helped rebuild in the first place - tastefully decorated. Some of the house's stranger features have been covered up by decorations in red and gold, mostly taking on the shapes of roses and butterflies all over the place.

[ Pause.
A pause that's definitely long enough to be noticable, and when she echoes the word back at him, it's with basically the same tone he was using. The hip grandpa tone. ]
"Dip."
[ Ange does know what it means, thankfully. ]
Wouldn't that be weird to do at my own wedding? I mean, people are here.. for me.
[ That small pause betrays the fact that she is remembering that fact as she's saying it, making her sound a little more tense by the time her statement lands at the 'me'. Oh god, so many people who are all going to pay attention to her. It's enough to make her never want to leave this room and go out there to actually get married. ]

[Not that they might not want to put in a good word at the reception, he guesses...but if they can't, they'll live!]

But to Ange? This sounds great. Please, do focus on the food and the dance, and not on her. Maybe she can at least survive the ceremony if it means she can move off to a quiet corner and have tea afterwards.. ]
That would make things easier. [ She admits. ] Not to mention that I can use Ruby as an.. attention lightning rod, let's say.
[ It's hard not to pay attention to that girl, given her antics.. And the more attention there is for her, the less there is for Ange.
It's a brilliant plan, clearly. ]

[It's! True!]
That's why people get plus-ones too, right? To keep them occupied with each other? [Michael didn't get one, but like, he doesn't need it. He's just fine chatting with whoever.]
no subject
See, that's exactly what she's wondering. ]
Did you bring someone?
[ It doesn't sound accusatory. If Michael wanted to take someone along to the wedding - even if it'd be platonic, since Michael isn't exactly a romantic person - it's not like she'd mind.
Ange is just curious. ]

[Little shrug. He'd just assumed he would - while he's hardly against bringing a platonic plus-one, he figures most people he'd ask are already here on their own invite.]
Never really had a problem talking to strangers, anyway.

[ Not that Ange has trouble talking to strangers.. technically. It's just that she's very, very good at covering up her more socially awkward tendencies with a 'no emotions pokerface' sort of front. ]
Or just help me out if I end up looking super awkward while someone is trying to talk to me at the afterparty. [ Though hopefully that shouldn't happen. Unless someone brought along a plus one she doesn't know, obviously Ange should know pretty much all of the guests here. Most of Ruby's friends are her friends too, after all. ]

[It's a useful skill in office politics of any kind! Though, of course, it's not quite the same anymore.]
no subject
[ Well, maybe not schmoozing necessarily, but Ange is aware that Michael is a little better at the whole social deal than she is - even if it's just because he's got more skills.
Which come in pretty useful during moments like these. ]
So thanks in advance. I'll pay you back some other time. [ As long as that doesn't involve some social situation.
But doing anything else for Michael in return? She sure doesn't mind that. He's a friend, after all. ]

[He expects she will at some point anyway, of course. That's just the nature of this place; everybody's gonna need help sooner or later.]
