(mostly open) oh this love would kill me
Who: Ange, Ruby, and you!
What: Ruby and Ange's wedding, and all their CR is invited!
When: Late October
Where: The rebuilt Clockhouse
Content Warnings: Semi-irresponsible weapon usage.

Sometime around the beginning of October invitations would have started to be sent out to the various people in Trench Ange and Ruby know - announcing the two girls' wedding at the end of the month.
When the day itself comes, people will find the location - the newly rebuilt Clockhouse, which some of the invitees may have helped rebuild in the first place - tastefully decorated. Some of the house's stranger features have been covered up by decorations in red and gold, mostly taking on the shapes of roses and butterflies all over the place.

Her head dips a little, like it's hard to continue to look at Ruby as the other continues to talk, even though Ange really wants to. It's just.. that all of this is a lot. These public expressions of fondness, and to this extent. And it means even more because of what the other girl says, and what Ange knows. Ruby isn't exactly a person of preparation, or being extremely profound all the time, and yet the girl is trying to be both of those things here all the same, somehow.
.. and managing it in her entirely own Ruby way.
Ange is pretty sure that the major sparkle her darkblood blush must be giving to her face is almost obscuring a full view of her face at this point, even as she manages to raise her gaze to meet Ruby's as the other gestures at the scroll. ]
You love all those things so much though. [ She manages to force out, her voice a little tight, her eyes a little glossy. Like Ange is struggling to not cry like an idiot.
It's hard.
She'll get her own vows out in a moment, okay, but just-- she first needs a moment to process this here. ]

It's why her hands squeeze Ange's in support when the other girl finally looks back up to her. A little goofy grin plays up on her lips.]
You once said letting me go ham was one of the most dangerous things you had ever heard of.
And here I am. Going full ham for you. You called it.

Her eyes grow watery. Usually she'd be fussing a whole lot more about stopping her tears, especially in front of a crowd, but right now she just can't tear her eyes away from the other standing there in front of her. Like Ruby is all that matters right now. ]
Oh, Ruby-- You're totally making me forget what I was going to say. [ If only she had made a list!! ] This is so embarrassing..
[ Especially since Ange is actually starting to cry right now. Not a full on sobfest, at least, but the tears silently roll across her cheeks. And since she refuses to let go of Ruby's hands, they just fall, without being hidden or wiped away. ]
It's just.. ever since the day we've met, your good points have always been the same. You're always cheerful, and brave, and just.. the most brightly shining person I've ever known. You've always been there, even to a point where I thought it was kind of annoying.. but you still never gave up.
[ For better or worse, one may say. At this point - Ange would definitely say it's for the better. ]
Nothing makes me happier than standing here with you, knowing that we've managed to stick together, no matter what. Like our promise to each other is unbreakable. I.. finally feel like I'm actually a lucky person.
[ After all, if all the crap she had through was just the road that lead her to Ruby in the end..
.. well, then it wasn't so bad. ]
I love you. I have, I do, and.. I will continue to do so. Forever.

I'm, maybe a little sorry?
[She wasn't really. She was having the time of her life seeing Ange as happy as she was. Even if she was crying. Ruby still couldn't believe they were standing here doing this. After all they had been through together.
And still it warms her heart to hear Ange say these things. Even if she could be a little much at times, she knew she did it with the best of intentions. And she loved that Ange knew that and loved her for it all the same.
Her grip tightens on Ange's hands and well if she wasn't so nervous and bursting with energy at this moment (How long that would last was anyone's guess.) she might have started jumping with joy. Instead she manages to contain that a little bit as she says. ]
And I'll keep doing that. Standing right here at your side. Through the good, through the bad, and everything inbetween.
Because that's what you do when you love someone.
And I do love you, Ange. With all my heart.

And while a lot of stuff may have changed around them, Ange likes to think they haven't changed. What has been between them, the thing that slowly started smouldering and then igniting - it's never changed. Even though it sure burns brightly when Ange stands here, looking at Ruby, unable to not smile through her tears. ]
You seriously need to stop being the most loveable girl in the universe. [ Because it's bad for Ange! Bad for her heart! Stop threatening to give her heart attacks all the time, Ruby!!
She sniffs, maybe growing a little more aware of how she must be looking here, with the tears rolling down her cheeks. Her tone lowers, like this remark is definitely just meant to be between the two of them. ] .. you know, if you can take a moment to grab the rings, maybe I can have a hand free to wipe away these tears.
[ Because Ange refuses to let go of Ruby's hands first, okay.
It's too important. ]
no subject
I could, but where would be the fun in that?
[She blinks. Her prosthetic eye clicking open and shut with the movement. She completely forgot that they were in the middle of something here.]
Oh, right.
[And Ruby does make the effort to reach for the rings. Except she's not letting go of Ange's hand and is instead dragging her along with her in the motion.
Because she's nervous and got put on the spot! Okay.]

This calls for some quick balancing on Ange's part. After all, she has quite a big dress, and that means that any sudden movements immediately pose a tripping risk for her. And Ange sure didn't see this move coming.
It's only through a miracle that she manages to regain her balance at the last moment, because surely Ruby would have had a Time trying to catch her while also trying to hold the rings at the same time.
Ange doesn't want to set off some silent movie slapstick level series of events here, alright.
She lets out a sigh of relief when she realises she's still standing on both feet. ]
Ruby, you're still holding my hand, you know..
[ Just. Softly pointing that out.
Casually. Like she didn't just have the scare of her life right there. She saw her life flash in front of her eyes, girl! ]
no subject
She hears the sigh and glances back her way briefly- There's a pause as brain processes what Ange was saying. Then she glances down at their hands and back up to Ange. It takes her a second for it to click on just how that might have been a problem and then she laughs a little and let's go to rub the back of her head. She glances out at everyone gathered.]
Phew- Uh- Sorry. That could have been a huge mess.
[She is more saying this to Ange than anyone else. But she's playing up the crowd a little.
Don't mind her as she slides off to actually collect the rings.]
no subject
(And she needs a moment here anyway to kind of shift her dress, making sure it doesn't look all ridiculous from nearly tripping. And to wipe her eyes from the tears. A-Again, so many people are watching her!!)
Once she's done with that though, she just watches the other retrieve the rings, and then moves to hold out her hand when Ruby is close enough to her again. ]
The honour is yours.
[ There's definitely a bit of almost joking confidence about it, trying to cover up the flutters Ange still feels in her stomach, the way she still looks flustered from everything from a moment before.
Come on, Ruby. You like it, so put a ring on it. ]
no subject
Once she's got the rings in hand she looks down to Ange's hand and to play up the act just a little she slide down to one knee so that she can be level with it. She tilts her head to the side and squints as she takes Ange's hand to judge the angle as she slides the ring on to the finger. She has to do this just right, you know?
Then she looks up to her and flashes a goofy smile.]
It was an honor for sure.
no subject
Like this. Look at how concentrated Ruby is as she puts that ring on Ange's finger. Like it's the most important thing in the world to get right.
She's still thinking about it, even as she takes the other ring, and then Ruby's hand. Why is Ruby so adorable, so loveable. Why is she like this. It's too much. Ange can feel her heart fluttering in her chest as she slides the ring onto Ruby's finger as well, thankfully without anything too disastrous happening.
And it's right after that he gaze flutters up to meet Ruby's own. ]
.. g-guess it's time to kiss the bride, huh?
[ She's not stammering because she's flustered, okay! You are!! ]
no subject
And she absolutely wants to get this just right. This was an important moment for her and she was clumsy at the best of times. She didn't want to cause a big scene and embarrass her now wife in front of everyone. Ruby was better with crowds than she had ever been, but- This was still getting married.
She rises up to her feet once she's got the ring on Ange's finger. All she can do is stare down with mismatched eyes at her own finger as a ring is slide onto it. This. This was it- It was really happening.
It's only Ange's words that break her out of that stupor and she feels a hand slide up to rub at the back her head. It feels a little different with the ring there. But it's a good feeling.]
Yeah- I guess it is.
You uh- Ready for that?
[And she makes an effort to stand in a little closer before letting a hand slide over Ange's cheek, she leans in and gently plants a kiss on her wife's lips.]
no subject
She'll never be. Even though she loves Ruby with all her heart, even though this is technically the moment they're married, kissing the dual bride and all that.. She doesn't think this is something she'll ever just get used to. Something that will feel normal. It's not like Ange has a clue whether it's the way it feels for everyone, but she's pretty sure her heart will forever do dumb silly little jumps inside of her chest every single time they kiss.
This is the same. Ruby's lips land on her own, Ange closes her eyes, and she can feel that feeling all over again - the same way it was when they first kissed during their first date, the one made awkward by Ozpin's presence, and all the times they kissed after.
It's why Ange lingers in the kiss. She doesn't necessarily deepen it, because it never has to be incredibly deep for them, but she lingers in it, in the feeling, in the moment.
It leaves her feeling breathless by the time she pulls away, her cheeks faintly glittery with a darkblood blush. ]
I love you so much, Ruby.
[ A pause, and then added, a little more stammery in fluster: ]
O-Or my wife now, I guess.
