(mostly open) oh this love would kill me
Who: Ange, Ruby, and you!
What: Ruby and Ange's wedding, and all their CR is invited!
When: Late October
Where: The rebuilt Clockhouse
Content Warnings: Semi-irresponsible weapon usage.

Sometime around the beginning of October invitations would have started to be sent out to the various people in Trench Ange and Ruby know - announcing the two girls' wedding at the end of the month.
When the day itself comes, people will find the location - the newly rebuilt Clockhouse, which some of the invitees may have helped rebuild in the first place - tastefully decorated. Some of the house's stranger features have been covered up by decorations in red and gold, mostly taking on the shapes of roses and butterflies all over the place.

Beatrice (ota)
That seems not to apply during the afterparty. She can be found mingling with the other guests, her shrill and distinctive cackle ringing out as she enjoys a joke or finds some anecdote particularly amusing. She avoids the axe throwing, if only because being near Ange with a weapon is likely to be asking for trouble.
She is a Witch, so of course she loves tea! Later on once she's had her fill of wine, she can be found sitting in the quiet corner, sipping on a cup of tea and perusing the books. ]
mingling
Well, you sound like you're having fun. Let me guess, party of the bride? [it's a joke. it's a joke because they're lesbians.] Name's Anna. Don't think I've seen you before.
Re: mingling
[ Beatrice responds with another of her little cackles, her eyes gleaming as she settles her gaze on Anna with an interested gaze. She takes a sip from her wine-glass and dips into a slight curtsy. ]
I am Beatrice, the Endless and Golden Witch, sister-in-law to Mrs. Ange Ushiromiya-Rose. A pleasure to meet you, Miss Anna.
[ Among many other things, but it's really complicated and fucked up, so let's not go too far into it. Yes, she promised Battler she wouldn't make a big deal out of being married to him at the ceremony but calling herself Ange's sister-in-law doesn't count, right? ]
no subject
No you're not. [she raises a hand, palm down, like she's measuring the height of someone smaller than her.] Beatrice was about this tall and didn't look anything like you. And I'm pretty sure Ange wouldn't have invited her to her wedding.
[it's by the grace of johnny lawrence himself that anna isn't jumping direct to starting drama. that, and it's her little sister's wedding, and she's definitely not about to cause any problems here. this can be a normal human conversation between two extremely normal humans.]
no subject
[ There's a tinge of annoyance in her voice. She's the Golden Witch! People should recognize and respect that! She makes a soft sound of annoyance in the back of her throat. ]
Technically she invited her brother, Battler. I'm his wife, so I came with him as a plus one.
no subject
All right, Sayo, do what you want. Just don't cause any trouble. My sister and her wife have been through enough without any new problems showing up right now. And I'm damn good with an axe if I have to be. [she rocks on her back foot and sticks a matte black hand into her pocket, and she smirks. that part is a joke.]
no subject
[ She actually stamps a foot and her expression sours a little. ]
I am Beatrice. There is a difference and if she were here she'd tell you the same thing! Hmph!
[ She crosses her arms and pouts for a moment, staring at Anna with a raw, almost childish displeasure. ]
I promised Battler I wouldn't cause problems and besides Ange and I have made our peace. You needn't threaten me. Don't think I'll forget it, though.
no subject
I wasn't seriously threatening you, Beatrice. [she decides to let it drop. if it were a serious threat, beatrice would know.] I'm not going to be responsible for any drama around here. But I didn't know that Ange's brother was here, or that you had married him. I had a much different idea of what happened on Rokkenjima.
no subject
[ She gestures, encompassing the whole party and laughs. ]
Well... consider me the embodiment of Sayo's certainty. A Witch who in one way or another, controlled the fate of Rokkenjima and the contents of the box in which it was placed following that horrible night.
no subject
Well, Ange wouldn't lie to me, so this is probably just some alternate universe bullshit, and I can totally deal with that. All right, cool. [and, for academic reasons and no other, she asks what she's not certain she's drunk enough to be prepared to handle the answer for.] So, uh, how exactly does that work, again?

Tea time!
So Luz, who was totally fine with having some tea right now, had some pita bread with honey and a little bit of white rose tea].
Hiya! New to the house?
no subject
She knows who Beatrice is, of course. It wouldn't be fair to treat her like she was Sayo. It's not quite that simple. But hell, seeing her here reminds Kainé all over again how badly she misses her friend. She hasn't talked to her so far, but it's not like she avoids the witch when she sits down at the quiet corner with her. She gives a curt nod, flipping idly through a book. ]

Something interesting to read?
no subject
Dunno yet.
[ It's some kind of paperback novel. Not her usual wheelhouse. ]
no subject
Mm. Not that interesting, then?
no subject
no subject
Oh? That's a shame. Stories have so many interesting things to offer us.

[ She's quiet for a second, regarding the witch carefully. ]
I can't find those things. I was never the artsy type.
no subject
[ Beatrice's grin is positively sharp. ]
Perhaps you haven't tried hard enough.
no subject
[ She rolls her eyes at Beatrice's theatrics. ]
Never had much choice.

slides in a month late with starbucks!!
He's seen her around the party on the arm of one Battler Ushiromiya, too, so when he settles in with his own tea, it's with a smile that's just a few degrees warmer than in their interactions before.]
Hey. Looks like we're family now too, huh? Really am collecting nieces in this place.
[He considered Ange his niece well before she and Ruby decided to get married, after all, and Battler had thus become his nephew by default. So if those two were together...that made her his niece as well now, didn't it? At least more or less. The words never really mattered that much, anyway.]
Re: slides in a month late with starbucks!!
Despite Ange's disappointment in that regard, you're quite correct. My being her sister by marriage does indeed make me your niece.
[ Kihihi! ]
Poor thing.
no subject
So here's a moment where he furrows a brow in confusion, wondering if he's missed something.]
Huh? Why would she be disappointed? Aren't you one of her fellow witches from home...?
[He may or may not have made some assumptions that were particularly charitable back during Tanabata, whoops.]
no subject
[ Hm. She looks thoughtful for a moment, her lips pursed. ]
Though I suppose we've made a bit of our peace by this point... We understand each other better than we used to, in any case.
feel free to handwave this explanation, just wanted to establish that he asked it
Wait, what? I thought that was Sayo. I never heard anything about a second murderer--
[? ? ? ? ?]
And what the hell's a catbox?
