Sometime around the beginning of October invitations would have started to be sent out to the various people in Trench Ange and Ruby know - announcing the two girls' wedding at the end of the month.

When the day itself comes, people will find the location - the newly rebuilt Clockhouse, which some of the invitees may have helped rebuild in the first place - tastefully decorated. Some of the house's stranger features have been covered up by decorations in red and gold, mostly taking on the shapes of roses and butterflies all over the place.

You're going to be fine. Try not to worry too much, okay? Just take a deep breath.

[Willow gives her a reassuring smile. Everyone, she's sure, has done everything they can to make sure everything goes smoothly.]

It's totally normal to be a little nervous. Don't forget, though, it's just us out there - your friends, and your family. There's nothing to be worried about, okay?

[entreats]

[ Willow does point out one major difference between your average social event and this one. Usually Ange has to face plenty of strangers too - but with just how many friends she and Ruby share, there shouldn't really be anyone at the wedding she doesn't recognize.

.. Ange isn't too sure what it says about her that she feels kind of nervous all the same, though. ]

Is this the part where you suggest I should just imagine everyone is in their underwear? [ She instead says out loud, a gentle joke, or an attempt at one.

It's the best way to deal with how kind of pathetic she feels for feeling so antsy. ]

[Sometimes it's easier to face a bunch of strangers over an assortment of family and friends. People you'll never have to see again instead of those who you will have to face on a daily basis if something goes horribly, horribly wrong.

Nothing is going to go horribly, horribly wrong.

Willow laughs at the joke, though.]

Well... if it works, I mean, I guess you could. But, uh, some of the people out there might not be people you want to see in their underwear? I was gonna go more with 'take a deep breath, try to relax, and have a good time.' No matter what happens, you and Ruby are still going to be married at the end of the day.

[entreats]

Oh, don't say it like that.

[ Not the part about not wanting to see some of these people in their underwear.

That part is entirely right. Entirely on the nose.

No, it's the part that comes after it that has Ange lightly shaking her head. ]

That's just asking for trouble, saying something like 'no matter what happens.' It'll make Pthumerian crash through the roof or something. [ And just when they managed to rebuild the house too! ] I'm not sure if I can handle that right now.

[Willow pats Ange on the shoulder. They better not have any Pthumerian party crashers. Weddings are generally by invite only, and she's fairly sure none of them are on the guest list.]

It'll be fine. We'll make them sit in the back, and fix the roof after the ceremony is over.

[entreats]

[ .. okay, the mental image of that?

It sure is something. It gets a little wilder depending on the specific Pthumerian, but the idea of most of them doing that is.. wild. ]

And you're going to make them?

[ Willow: Pthumerian wrangler. It's canon now. ]

Maybe I should be more scared of you than I am now. [ If Willow apparently has this kind of mystical power. Or maybe it only activates for weddings, who knows.

Either way - Ange clearly sounds like she's just joking, at least. ]

Hey, come on. It's not like I'd be alone.

[She can picture an entire group of Sleepers - Ange and Ruby's friends and family - standing off against a Pthumerian wedding crasher and telling them whatever they're here for, it can wait.

She can't help grinning herself.]

Gotta share the credit with everyone.

[entreats]

[ Willow is right about that, and Ange knows it. If there's anything she knows her group of friends for, after all, it's the fact that they're willing to take a stand in the face of danger.

Even when it's very dumb and badly timed danger, like a Pthumerian wedding crasher.

The idea is.. well, it brings an entire mix of emotions at once, though Ange opts to discard the heavier ones for now, instead letting out a faintly amused breath more so than anything else in the moment. ]

Well, let's hope people won't have to form an impromptu angry mob at my wedding. I'm not sure if that'd be a great wedding story to tell later down the line.

[ Though it'd fit right in with the usual dumb things that happen to Ange.. ]

[Whatever happens, they'll deal with it, but Willow is still hoping any chaos that occurs will be the standard harmless kind that seems to follow wherever Ruby goes.]

Yeah, don't worry, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't come to anything like that. But if it does, you don't have to worry - we'll deal with it. We always do after all.
