Sometime around the beginning of October invitations would have started to be sent out to the various people in Trench Ange and Ruby know - announcing the two girls' wedding at the end of the month.

When the day itself comes, people will find the location - the newly rebuilt Clockhouse, which some of the invitees may have helped rebuild in the first place - tastefully decorated. Some of the house's stranger features have been covered up by decorations in red and gold, mostly taking on the shapes of roses and butterflies all over the place.

Oh, really? Well - I just got here a month or two ago, so I guess it's not that surprising.

[ Battler grins at the newcomer and gestures for him to pull up a seat. ]

I'm Battler! How do you know Ange? If I can ask.

[Lance crooked smiles as he takes a seat, then takes a sip of his drink before responding.] Well, you don't seem like the kinda guy who blends in the background, either.

[Then he has to think back to how he met Ange. His memories have been spotty so it takes him a second. Then it comes to him and he looks kind of awkward.]

Aha, we just met through a friend.

[ Battler laughs. ]

I guess I do take up space. Not that I mind about that, having people pay attention to me is kinda a bonus. What's your name?

Heck yeah, some of my best friends I met through other friends. And then you become an awesome friend cluster. A squad.

[He grins.]

Oh yeah, the spotlight can be totally fun. I used to live for it, myself. And I'm Lance.

Oh, yeah? What'd you used to do?

[ Battler's interested and he kinda expects he's going to get acting or singing or something in reply. ]

Oh, just a Defender of the Universe, pilot of the red lion of Voltron and overall dazzlingly handsome icon in several galaxies.

[He hasn't been feeling this bravado for a long time, but he still projects it to try and feel… normal. He follows up that with a dazzlingly handsome grin.]

Whoa, really?

[ Damn, that sounds super impressive, honestly. ]

But, uh, what's Voltron?

[azurestar]

It's a giant robot warrior made up of five smaller robot warships shaped like lions and it's pretty much the most powerful weapon in the universe and defends it from evil.

[He says with a cocky little half smirk.]

Whoa, really? That... uh. That sounds like a show I used to watch! GoLion!

[The corners of his lips curl a bit and he nods.]

Yeah, I've heard that before. Apparently, I'm a dashingly handsome character in a show in some realities as well as in real life.

They didn't have anyone named Lance...

[ He rubs his chin. ]

Really American name, isn't it? But - maybe it was based off of you! Somehow.

I'm Cuban, actually. [He crosses his arms.] But sometimes they'd change names when translating stuff over to Spanish back home, maybe it was something like that.

Uh, maybe. But the names were pretty Japanese.

[ Interesting. ]

Cuban...? I've never met someone from Cuba before! But my dad used to do business in the United States all the time.
