[ Anakin's pod has been quiet and unmoving for about a month. His presence in the Force has been muted, though steady. No strong emotions or a sense of illness or danger.

But early one morning, that changes.

A shock ripples through the Force-- panic, confusion, irritation, frustration. Then cracks appear in the outer shell of his cocoon. Anakin pries at it and his fingers peek through the cracks.

He doesn't call for help (of course he doesn't) but he'll definitely need it if he wants to get out before lunchtime. ]

[ The grogginess hasn't quite worn off yet. He'd been asleep for the equivalent of a standard month (a month!) but instead of being alarmed, he just feels oddly drowsy. He doesn't feel ill, but he's a little wobbly both physically and when using the Force.

Which is why he doesn't notice Luke until he's nearly at the front door. Anakin doesn't need to unlock it-- Luke has a key, after all-- but he does stumble toward it in time to open it. ]

[ It's definitely no longer morning. ]

[She doesn't sense Anakin quite as automatically as Jacen, but he's still always a presence she picks up on without having to give it more though.

And it doesn't take long for her to notice a change, especially one that worries her. She knows exactly where he is given that he hasn't moved in a month, so she dashes over to help him out]

Anakin?

[ It takes all of a day before Anakin is itching to get out of the house. The whole cocoon thing still has him unsettled but it's nothing he can't bounce back from.

Anakin makes an excuse to go shopping. They're relatively well-stocked at home, but the Trench's equivalent of winter is coming and he'd feel better if he had more non-perishables and warm clothes.

He's perusing some clothes at an outdoor stall when he notices something glowing in his periphery. Anakin turns his head, blinks, and says: ] Usagi?

[faithfulson]

[ Luke had a bag of pastries in hand, having sensed that this was coming, that Anakin was going to be up and about soon enough. When the door opened, he raised an eyebrow at how frumpy he looked, before holding out the bag. ]

Good afternoon. I thought you'd like some sugar before we had a conversation.

[hopesparks]

[ Jaina. He feels relief flood through him. Anakin tugs at the cracks in the shell even harder and, between the two of them, they're able to make short work of the rest of the shell. Anakin blinks as the light floods in and his senses are all awakened at once.

He winces as it all floods into him before he can stop it. ] Ow.

[lightthedarkness]

[Usagi was very used to her blood type causing her to glow. She was used to glowing even WITHOUT her blood type thanks to a DIFFERENT ability. So glowing, while annoying, was not something difficult for Usagi to deal with.

She was doing her own shopping for the upcoming winter when she heard her name being called. She looked up and smiled brightly at Anakin Jr.]

Anakin! Long time no see!

[forcechanic]

Breathe. Let the Force was over you.

[He's in so much trouble, but she does want to get him in a better place before she reminds him of that.]

You've been out for a month.

[hopesparks]

[ He takes a deep breath and takes a moment to find his center...

Which is immediately ruined. ]

A month?

[ He doesn't even feel that well-rested! ]

[hopesparks]

[ He takes the bag and looks at Luke uneasily. ]

Thanks. [ He steps back to allow Luke in. ]

If you're going to chastise me for falling into a coma for a month, Jaina beat you to it.

[hopesparks]

[ He gives her a small smile but looks a bit worried. ]

Yeah. I assume the glowing is Trench-related?

[ It might not be, but she's never done it before (as far as he knows) so... ]

[lightthedarkness]

Ah, yeah... If I bleed during a full moon I do the same thing, but now I'm my own personal nightlight this month. Don't even have to turn on the lights when I shower in the morning or at night.

[forcechanic]

Yeah. You missed out on me being extra irritable.

[Now she's just a regular amount of irritated that is warranted. And glowing.]

About how you didn't warn me one morning there might be a creepy eye cocoon.

[hopesparks]

[ He rubs his eyes, but all he does is get more goo on his face. Ugh.

Vaguely: ] Hm? Well, I... didn't think there would be.

[forcechanic]

[She searches around the room for something that will at least serve as a clean rag]

Given that there is apparently no way of predicting it that was a bad assumption.

[hopesparks]

[ Fortunately, Anakin has several clean rags in his room that he hasn't gotten around to putting back in his workshop yet.

He sighs. ] Sorry.

[ He means it. He never means to worry his sister or get into trouble. It just seems to happen. ]

[hopesparks]

It doesn't make it hard to sleep?

[forcechanic]

[She would ruffle his hair, but it's got... stuff in it.]

I'm not mad. But is there anything else I need to know?

[lightthedarkness]

Not at all, I can sleep through the apocalypse if I wanted to. [She winks.] But catch me at the right time and I can glow even MORE than this.

[hopesparks]

[ He lets out a soft huff, almost amused. ]

Yeah there's probably a lot I've forgotten to mention. But, in terms of the cocoon, it's harmless. Some people come back with new memories or are physically older. I don't have any new memories.

[ He pauses. ]

Do I look any older?

[forcechanic]

You're still too old, but not any worse than before.

[She sighs]

Is there anything about this place that isn't weird?

[faithfulson]

No, I won't do that. I doubt you had much control over that.

[ He doubted that anyone that ended up in those pods did so willingly, so he wasn't going to heckle him for that. ]

So, were you going to tell me about your siblings before or after they showed up here?

[hopesparks]

[ Anakin makes his way to the kitchen, but stops and turns when Luke speaks. ]

Huh? What do you mean?

[ Guess who can't keep track of who he told what. ]

[hopesparks]

Um. No, no it's all weird.

[ Anakin tries to stand without slipping in the, ugh, goo. ]

What a mess. What is this even made of?

[faithfulson]

Your sister? That showed up? And assumed I knew who she was?

[ Ring any bells, nephew? ]
