It had been a few weeks since the wedding, and while Usagi and Makoto had shared a few moments here and there since the confession, it seemed like it was difficult to actually find time and talk about it. So Makoto decided to take action and put a plan into motion, while Usagi was out shopping for supplies for her crafts business, Makoto spoke with Minako and Vira-Lorr who agreed to let Hotaru stay the night with them so that Makoto could do something special.

After seeing Hotaru off, Makoto got to work making a nice dinner for the two of them. The meal would start with Tan-Men soup, followed by a small selection of Mukozuke, sashimi all fresh from that day. Then the Yakitori, with a cucumber salad, and then the final course of Katsudon. Of course, it was followed up with a small chocolate cake with strawberry glaze. Makoto even went as far as to actually find a sweet wine and started chilling it before she started cooking.

Next, the table was set with a tablecloth, fresh flowers, and candles. Makoto turned out the rest of the lights to try and make it feel nice and cozy. Then changing into something she thought was cute and waiting for Usagi to return.

Planning the night: Open to Minako, Hotaru, & Vira-Lorr

[So Usagi and Makoto had decided not to tell anyone about Makoto's confession after the wedding after everyone else had left and they were cleaning up. But Makoto really wanted to give it a shot and wanted to do something special. So she reached out to the best two that she knew, and the two she knew would probably be willing to keep Hotaru company for a night. Though it felt like she was calling for permission as much as anything.]

[Minako had been not so much readjusting, but making sure whatever stuff she had brought over could actually be placed somewhere. So stuff may or may not have been moved for the purpose.

But soon her focus was on the knock on the door.]

I'll get it~

[Which considering she was close by of course she would as she very well nearly bounced to the door before opening it.]

Ah, hey Makoto-chan~ What brings you here this time of day?

Is that Makoto? Come in!

[Vira-Lorr was calling out from the kitchen, leaning her way around the kitchen door and smiling as she heard the door opening and Minako speaking. Things were in the process of re-adjusting, but the house was definitely warm and ready... and though she didn't know it would be coming up tonight? She still had a fold out collapsible bed in the couch upstairs! So that would come in handy.]

Mina-chan~ How are you?

[It was always a pleasure to see friends, and Makoto knew to expect it but it was still a small surprise for the blonde to be the one to answer the door. Stepping in Makoto pulled off her shoes.]

I can come in for a minute. I actually have something I wanted to ask, a favor. But I also need some advice too. First, would the two of you mind watching Hotaru sometime, just let her stay the night over here, she's pretty well behaved and pretty studious at her practice.

I am fine~ How are you?

[She made sure to step to the side happily to let the other in even if it was for not long either way. But the other had a question she needed to ask and she was all ears open. Once she was sure those who needed to come in were inside she shut the door before walking further into the house.]

I'm pretty sure we can take care of Hotaru for tonight. I am assuming the reason is why you need the advice of an expert of giving advice?

We absolutely have space. I'll make sure the pull out is ready for her, and I'd love to have her over.

[She walked out, her smile broadening a little bit. Hmmm, was Minako up to something here? Did she see something?]

Dare I ask? What sort of advice, mmm?

[Curious little kitten sometimes, wasn't she?]

It is, I want to do something special. I-I know it has only been a few months since Sushi-kun left, but there's soemone that I've always cared about, and that I've been close to even when Sushi-kun was here.

After the wedding I told her how I felt. And well, I really want this date to be special, because I want Usagi to know how important she is, and how much I care for her.

[And now the cat was out of the bag. They hadn't been too certain how to tell the other's but now here it was, out in the open.]

Is it Usagi-chan?

[Because to Minako if it wasn't Vira it was Usagi the other most precious person to her. So while it seemed like a wild guess it was one with a decent thought put into it. But at least it wasn't long before that answer was obvious that yes, so she was at least correct.]

I mean pretty sure Usagi already knows that, honestly. Unless you are talking about wanting her to know in the more intimate of ways? If you know what I mean.

[Vira-Lorr suppressed a giggle when Minako asked about more intimate things, keeping her smile warm. Somehow, if it was Usagi who was claiming the affections or interest of Makoto? She wasn't shocked. She had a deep and abiding love for her to begin with, as a friend but she could see them together.]

I'm glad you confessed your feelings, and I think you'll do a fine job helping her to understand how important she is. And Minako's an expert at helping to make those moments special. [She winked at her wife.]

I definitely think "be yourself" is one of the most important things. Knowing Usagi? She loves you as you are.

[ There's a lot that Hotaru doesn't dig into with the other Senshi, relationships weren't one of them. Being technically eleven means that there isn't a lot of advice she can give on that subject, only tell them to follow their heart. She only wanted her friends to be happy.

Today, Makoto will find her in the dining room with an assortment of books around her, all of them pertaining to plants. The girl has been delving much deeper into them as of late, more than just taking an interest in her friend's collection of flora. She stops writing in her notebook at the older girl's arrival. ]

Did you need something, Makoto-chan? [ Asked with sense that something was happening, not any of her new bloodtype telepathy powers. ]

Actually, I was wondering something. How would like to stay with Mina-chan and Vira-Lorr for a night? They have a few spare rooms and it would kind of be like a slumber party.

[Just without Usagi or Makoto.]

That would be lovely. Are you and Usagi-chan going out for the night?

[ There's nothing wrong with her friends going out without her, Hotaru likes being involved in their lives but doesn't need to be included in everything. While she technically doesn't need a guardian to look out for her all of the time, she can understand there would be worry if she were alone at night in this place. Plus, it will be nice spending more time with Minako and Vira-Lorr. ]

[She was pretty perceptive, Makoto wasn't surprised if she'd probably started to figure things out.]

Umm, kind of. We're going to have a special dinner and will probably wind up going out afterwards.

[Or just as likely staying in and playing video games. But Makoto really wanted it to be special and just the two of them for one night.]

[ She may not have ever had that special someone, but Hotaru is well aware that both of her friends miss people. When she does learn about this date, she will only give them her support. ]

Okay, I hope you both have fun. Don't get into too much trouble.

[ Spoken lightly and playfully. Not that Hotaru is too worried about them protecting themselves. ]

[ All of her dinners with Usagi and Makoto feel special, but that's the warmth of family. ]

Also, I'd like to ask for your help. I've been studying plants and how they can help us here, as both tea and incense. So I want to know more about them, and better learn how to take care of them.

[ While Hotaru can study on her own, doing it together with her friend will make it a lot of fun. ]

Shopping: Open to those who might spot Makoto out and about.

[Makoto was pretty set on the task at hand and seemed pretty determined to get everything on the list she had. Paying more attention to it than really anything else and she kept going over everything in her head.]

Date Night: Closed to Usagi

[Waiting there for when Usagi returned home, Makoto offered a warm smiland reached out to offer to help with anything that she had. Fresh makeup on, her hair in a slightly different more elaborate ponytail than usual.]

Welcome home, how was your day?

[Usagi was something of a glow bug this month, of course, she ALWAYS glowed as Sailor Moon and if she was bleeding or using her dream walking abilities, even more so. She let Makoto help with the bags full of clay, beads, ribbons, and chains.]

I'm home! And great! The cookies and fresh strawberries were a hit with MacReady and I got all sorts of clay colors! Oh, and MacReady's husband asked if you could share your mochi recipe! They loved the ones you made. Oh oh! I got you something too!

[Usagi pulled out a teacup and saucer that was a soft pastel green with deep pink roses inside of it.] Tadah! Krista, the one who is at the boardwalk every weekend? Well, she is going to see if she can't find the whole set at the beach, but I saw it and just had to barter for it! Couldn't wait for a whole set. But I can keep checking and it can be like a treasure hunt, one piece at a time, ya know?

How about you, how was your day?

[That light was a part of what Makoto loved about Usagi, that it never seemed to dim or go out no matter what happened or how bad things were. Even when she was scared or things seemed impossible that light was still there. Taking the clays Makoto put them in the crafts room with the rest, listening.]

I'll be sure to write it down so you can give it to her next time. It's so pretty, it would be perfect if we could get the set, but for now this will make a nice decorative piece. You have an amazing eye and always knew the best places.

[Makoto was more a creature of habit, sticking to the tried and true, places where she knew she could get a good deal more than exploring and seeing new shops like Usagi. When Usagi asked about her day, Makoto straightened out her outfit a little.]

Umm, well I arranged for Hotaru-chan to spend the evening with Mina-chan and Vira-Lorr. Then I went shopping for ingredients for a special dinner, and have been cooking and getting the table set, along with preparing a few others things. I was kind of hoping we might be able to have a special night, just the two of us. A date night.

[Usagi dutifully follows behind Makoto, happily chatting away and helping put the new craft supplies away.]

I knew I smelled something delicious!

[She grinned... only for her eyes to widen and her face to go red.]

Ah- a date? Now? I'm such a mess though! My hair and my outfit aren't date ready! [She was immediately fretting, her hands going over her hair and the few strands that had escaped, the way she was just wearing an everyday outfit for her.]

I wanna look special for a date!

Well, everything isn't quite done yet for dinner. So if you wanted to get a bath and change you would probably have time. There's no rush, we have all night, Hotaru is staying over with Mina-chan.

[Though Makoto thought Usagi looked perfectly fine the way that she was, and was cute in everything that she wore. But then Usagi had pretty cute fashion and could make a lot of different things look good, whereas Makoto had to make sure that everything fit more than anything.]

By the time you get ready, everything should be finished and we can start with the first course.

YES! Yes okay! Stay- don't... GIVE ME SOME TIME!

[Usagi grabs Makoto to pull her down to give a kiss on the cheek before dashing upstairs to absolutely shower, change, and put on makeup. There is the sound of a blow dryer going off and very clearly a loud "thud" followed by an even louder "I'M OKAY" because Usagi was a klutz on a good day, Usagi in a rush is even klutzier.

Okay okay, something cute but not too fancy but not just a regular outfit EITHER! She was currently examining her wardrobe, a toothbrush in her mouth as she adjusted her towel.

AH! Perfect!

Usagi grabbed the dress and immediately got to work.

Finally finished, Usagi brushed her hands down the front of her dress and finished touching up her eyeliner and bows.]

Perfect.

[She looked over at her heels... admittedly, it WAS a night in... Usagi opted to stay in her house slippers, she didn't want it to be TOO dressed up. She came down the stairs.]

You weren't waiting long, were you?

We have all night, so don't rush.

[Makoto blushed a little with the kiss on the cheek, touching the spot lightly as Usagi went rushing upstairs. While she was getting a shower and picking out clothes, Makoto quickly went to setting their places at the table, putting the first dish out and pouring a glass of wine for each of them to let it breathe a little more.

She put the apron away and adjusted the flowers, lighting the candles and ensuring everything was just right. Hearing her coming down the stairs, Makoto met her at the bottom, pausing and staring.]

Not at all. I'd wait as long as you needed. You look amazing.

Ah, it looks so wonderful and smells so nice! A perfect date night dinner. [She blushed and tucked some hair behind her ear.]

You do too. This is all incredible. Thank you for doing this. I can't wait to try what you made.
