[Of all the things Johnny was expecting in the morning. It was not THIS KID of all people interrupting his work out. Asking to borrow his car of all things. The kid had a lot of nerve.

...That was something Johnny actually respected about Oscar. He was always willing to speak his mind. Even if half the time it did piss Johnny off.

He stops mid sit up and glances over to Oscar.]

You going to bring it back with a full tank and a six pack?

Yeah. I can do that, if they'll sell me a pack.

[A shrug. While he didn't like Johnny's drinking habits, there was no stopping them. It was only a pity that Johnny's 'no pussies' philosophy didn't apply to this factor-- but there was nothing he could do about it.

All he could do was take care of himself at this point.

Eyebrow arching, he looked at Johnny in curiosity.]

That's it? You're not gonna ask me where I'm going or if I even know what I'm doing?

You might have to get creative kid, that's the deal.

[Johnny gives a light little shrug.]

Honestly. I'm more surprised you're asking in the first place. Teenagers don't usually do that.

If the locals had cars, I wouldn't bother asking. I'd just leave a note and return it with the tank filled.

[He shrugged as well. This wasn't his first time around.]

This is different. You're a Squid too, so it's better to ask.

...I've been hot wiring farm equipment since I was big enough to know how to be safe. It wouldn't be hard.

I've just made a lot of bad choices lately, so I'm trying to make a good one.

Good point. And you might as well ride in style instead of trying to take LaRusso's antique.

[Not that there was anything wrong with LaRusso's car. It had been useful when it came to taking all the kids out of John's.]

I guess. I'm more man than squid though.

[Oscar grinned sheepishly. He knew he was being at least a little devious on this matter.]

Yeah-- I know that doesn't say anything good about me. But I'm just looking to cool my head. A lot of stuff keeps happening, so I'm just trying not to do anything too stupid.

... I'm open to suggestions if you've got them. Taking a joy ride in the coolest car in town seemed like the best idea out of everything so far.
