[ ah, damn it. there will be a point where it’ll be physically painful and impossible to inflict harm on them, but—

she remembers the man she held until he breathed his last, because of those like them. despite the conflict, she could still do something.

after a moment of what seemed like deep, conflicting thought, 2B nods. ]

I can’t attack them, but I’ll do what I can.

[She... wait... well, that was going to be complicated. Neo looked up at 2B for a long moment before sighing. No, she didn't expect an android to not be pretty blunt and honest about this. It wasn't going to be easy to get into a fight.

Hmmm. She nodded once and typed.]

Escape then.
We can't really fight them if we both fight.
Have to be careful and sneaky going up.

[As she opened the door and stepped out cautiously, she made a mental note to ask 2B a bit more about this later. Right now wasn't the time.]

[ she is not above the plan; if the greater solution here is to flee, then she does not have insolent pride tying her down. she will flee, with neo with her. 2B nods and searches for her weaponry; it should be with her, but her wireless connection has been cut in the same way she cannot access pod. ]

Lead the way. I’ll cover our backs.

[And the only 'connection' Neo could get was an omni that didn't send a signal out. It was basically a glorified visual tablet, which was useful for her personally in a pinch, but not really that helpful. Motioning once, she stepped out and started to make her way down the hallway, between the stalls. Many of them had open doorways, but none of them had occupants, at least not that she could see.

As she stalked, though, she was keeping her ears open, listening for something, anything. When the sounds of bootfalls could be heard, she gestured to the nearest room and ducked in through the door to try and stay out of sight behind a wall.

[ 2B tries to better throw her weight on her toes to lessen the dry clicks of her heels on hard surfaces— and it mostly works, save for putting her a touch off balance.

but she follows suit, and follows quickly, flattening herself with her back facing the woman’s in a protective spread. listening would have to be enough before their next step. ]
