[His head tilts slightly as he tries to get a read on her. Not even his empathic ability is giving him much of a hint. Like, he's getting some things, but nothing strong or that he can put a name to.]

Uh, "tricks"? Like the cereal?

[That seems like a safe question for now, because he genuinely doesn't know. Or perhaps he did at one point? He wanders over to the desk to look at the stuff on it and then the memory Jinx busts in and his head snaps to her. She doesn't look too different, so this must be pretty recent. And he notices the trap when she avoids it…]

Sooo is this about to get explosive? [He looks a little concerned about it because these memories can sometimes cause harm to the viewers.]

( sometimes she just doesn't get lance. "tricks like the cereal"? what the heck does that even mean? but either way, it's probably not important. the real jinx maneuvers back around to glance down to her memory version. she leans in to wave her hand in front of the other's face to see if her memory self will get a reaction. and nope. nothing. the other self continues to sit and idly flipping through pages of a clipboard.

standing up right, the real one hops back a few steps to stand by lance; hands behind her back. )

Nope! — It's about to get really funny!

( is that a relief? that depends. jinx has a weird taste of what "funny" is. and soon the door opens, a larger dark skin woman with a mechanical arm says and out of breath, "we lost her". the memory!jinx spins around to face the adult while pointing to her with a clipboard, "lost who"? the woman does a mistake by stepping forward into the wire -- smoke filling the air as the memory!jinx slips on a mask to cover her nose. the adult struggle to reach to the blue-haired girl, coughing and gasping which memory!jinx simply waves to her with her fingers. and with that? the lady sinks to the floor; out cold. )
