[ katherine bursts out laughing. pressing her hand to her mouth, she almost doubles over. she fans her face as she looks at him and shakes her head. ]

I can't believe you did that!

[ honestly, of all the things stefan wouldn't do... she expected making a snow angel so willingly would definitely be on that list. ]

Show me the arm thing again.

What, I had to show you!

( and he doesn't even mind the laughing. he just grins proudly and gestures to his snow angel. )

No no, you have to make one before I show you anything else.

[ she opens her mouth and then promptly closes it, scrunching up her face as she does so. ]

I forgot.

[ she gives him a simple shrug before she laughs loudly. seems like you'll just have to show her again, stef. ]

You're a liar.

( why you always lying, katherine? )

Your memory is better than mine.

Is it?

[ she shakes her head as she scrunches up her nose again. ]

I need to see you do the arm thing again. I only saw it once, and to have a good memory, it's good to see things repeated again and again.

[ and again. and again.

katherine smiles. ]

Nope.

( he sounds very pleased about his decision. he shakes his head. )

Not a chance. You do it and then I'll show you again.

[ glaring at him for a few seconds, katherine huffs and rolls her eyes. turning on the spot, she drops into the snow beside him and lies back. spreading her arms out, she ensures to smack him in the chest. she doesn't begin to sweep them back and forth like wings.

she looks at him. ]

I'm doing it.

[ she knows she's not. ]

You're not.

( stefan crosses his arms and shakes his head. )

That is not doing it.

[ katherine gasps, knowing that she's laying it on a little thick now. she turns her head toward him and furrows her brows as she feigns confusion. ]

But my arms are out? That's what you did, isn't it?

[ she wiggles her fingers but doesn't begin sweeping her arms. ]

No, it's not. You're really pressing your luck, huh?

( stefan laughs though. he knows what she's doing. )

Trying to get me to do it again.

[ katherine purses her lips as she looks at him in confusion. ]

What luck? I'm just asking for you, a very wonderful teacher, to help me learn how to make a snow angel by doing it again. [ she's slow to widen her smile. ] Repetition is the only way I'll learn.

[ she is, after all, old. ]

And I am doubting you because I think you already know how to make snow angels and you're just trying to pull one on me.

( she is old and she's also smart. )

I don't think I'm wrong. You just want to laugh at me.

But I'm not laughing.

[ right now. she makes a point of pressing her lips into a thin line to show that she's not laughing at all. ]

Why won't you show me? [ she cocks her brow as she begins to pout. ] Don't you want me to learn how to make the best snow angels?

I just showed you.

( he motions to the snow angel that's on the ground. )

It's right there, Katherine. You can clearly see that I have shown you.

[ since they're on the ground, it helps katherine's case when she looks at it and squints. she furrows her brows in confusion. ]

I can't see it. I think you need to do it again. [ she looks at him earnestly. ] Or maybe hold my hand this time.

If I hold your hand, are you going to make a snow angel too or you just going to hold my hand and make me do it?

( again!! )

[ well... she was going to hold his hand and make him do it again, but considering that's the obvious play, she'll... do the unpredictable thing.

katherine does have the audacity to roll her eyes at him as though he's inconvenienced her—and he has!

she mumbles, ] I'll do it as well.

Hold my hand.

( he reaches out for her and wiggles his fingers. )

Come on, let's make snow angels. It'll be cute. We could get Aleksander out here to make a snow angel dog too.

[ while katherine doesn't look impressed in the slightest, she does place her hand in his. squinting up at the sky, she doesn't move. she considers his proposal for a moment before turning her head toward him. ]

You do know his angel's just going to look like a ditch in the snow, right?

[ but the idea is really, really cute. ]

I know. But still —

( he grins and then flops back into the snow, trying to use his strength and momentum to tug her down with him. )

This better be a good snow angel, Stefan, or so help me god...

[ she gingerly rests her head against the snow. she should've pulled the hood of her coat up and over her hair. it's going to get ruined! ]

It's cold!

That's because it's snow.

( he doesn't let go of her hand as he starts to move them plus his legs back and forth. )

Come on, let's see it. I wanna see your snow angel.

[ she side-eyes him as he begins to move before she begrudgingly joins him. katherine doesn't particularly have a problem with making snow angels, but given that it's with stefan and she likes to tease him and she believes he'll never let her live it down... well, it's fun being a little difficult.

she moves her legs mechanically and does her best not to smile. ]

My snow angel will look more fabulous than your snow angel.

Your snow angel will look like a tiny Bulgarian woman.

( and will be very cute. )

It might be more adorable than mine but more fabulous? I don't know about that.

[ as maturely as she often behaves, katherine sweeps her arms against the snow—the one furthest from him a little more wildly—and collects some of it in her hand. she twists and drops the clump of snow onto stefan's chest. ]

Oops! Silly me.

[ his is not more fabulous than hers! ]
