[a pause and he asks,] What is that big power you're tied to? I've never seen an aura like that before.
[while considering this he realizes robby might not be able to see it. a moment's thought and he lifts a finger to robby, not unlike when he shared power with him before but far easier this time. partially because he's just sharing a little bit, partially because it seems the two times of before have imprinted on robby a little.
either way he may be able to see the aura now too, enjoy. it'd be rude to have a conversation in front of robby about it otherwise, he thinks.]

That is the Force. It is an energy field that binds all living things together. As a Jedi, I was taught to harness and work with the Force. It gave me abilities much like yours.
no subject
and also, you know. Just seeing a guy's aura when he previously saw nothing is a shock. He looks between Mob and Obi-Wan, just sort of...baffled by this new experience. ]
There's two schools for tapping into it, right? Through letting go of your emotions, [ as Obi-Wan just said, ] or by controlling it at their extremes.
[ He's not Force-splaining here, but it feels wrong not to express he might know a little, looking at Obi-Wan to if he got it right, even.
But he does look to Mob, too. ] It sounds kind of like your power. [ The emotional influence, anyway. ]

either way he nods to robby's assessment.] It's closer than anything else I've seen here. [which is exciting, maybe this really would help.
(he really needed it to. 9%)
regardless he goes quiet, curious about the answer to robby's question.]

Let me put it this way. What happens when you get angry?
no subject
...You get too wrapped up in it?
no subject
[a nod to robby's though, that's actually pretty spot on too.]
no subject
Sometimes, you bottle it up until it bursts or you lash out immediately, causing harm. The point is not to control your emotions to the point of non-existence, but to control them so that they do not control you.
All emotions are meant to be expressed, but when they cause harm to others, that is where you must draw a line. Especially if you have skills and powers that may exacerbate them.

He doesn't say anything, though. He wants to look at Mob and see what he says, thinks on that. It's his issue, and he knows it better -- what does he think about what the man said? ]
no subject
but that's why they're here. his gaze goes back to obi-wan, determined to see this through properly.] What if that line is hard to tell?
no subject
That is what the training is for. To understand yourself better. The Jedi are peacekeepers with great powers. We train so that we can serve the people better. And never abuse the powers that we were given.
no subject
[ He knocks Mob's arm with the back of his hand gently, a more reassuring confidence than anything. A smile to follow if he looks at him. ]
no subject
he offers another little bow, solemnly saying,] That's um, that's what I want. I don't have much to offer in return right now but if you'd be willing to train me...
no subject
still. it is his duty. he was still obi-wan and someone needed help. who was he to ever say no. ]
No payment or favors required. We can start here, every week if you like.
no subject
We meditate at Miyagi-do, and it doesn't sound different from what you teach, but I'd like to help Mob where I can outside of sessions. [ Hesitation, and a slight shrug. ] I know I can't follow, but I can listen.
[ Be support. Plus, meditation isn't boring to him. ]
no subject
I'd like that, if it's okay- um, what should I call you?
[said to obi-wan. he has master reigen back home and now sensei larusso. what do you call a teacher like obi-wan? maybe sensei too?]
no subject
[ as for a title, obi-wan runs his fingers down his beard. ]
Obi-Wan is fine. Usually my students call me Master, but I don't think that's necessary. Or you have one you deem appropriate, I'm happy to be called by it.
no subject
...
...but he might be looking at Mob and wondering...if he'll pick Master. (he's going to, isn't he) ]
no subject
that was something reigen told him often, how a student needs to learn and be respectful of his master. usually after mob called him out on something ridiculous he did but still, the lesson is there.
so after that moment he nods to himself and says,] Master Obi-Wan is good. I have another master at home though, that's okay, right?
no subject
Of course. One should cultivate multiple teachers for learning. My path is but one of many.
no subject
Mind if I use Mister Kenobi? That's what we use where I'm from.
[ Except in karate, but he doesn't think Sensei Kenobi would be right. ]
no subject
he has a question to tack on as well,] How do we start?

That dedication will certainly help.
