[fitz gets a point for speaking to rio as her own entity- viktor's well aware she's more than likely exactly what omens are supposed to be, some aspect of his mind. even so she was a creature he cared about and lost once, so he allows himself to imagine maybe she truly is her own being. without definitive proof otherwise it doesn't hurt.
