[ she mumbles, but smiles, ] Ugh. Asking a sick person to move over.

[ katherine does as he asks, but makes a point to rest her hands against his chest and use him to push her over and more into his side of the bed. once she's satisfied, she stops. ]

Do you want cuddles or do you not want cuddles?

( he moves tp slide in beside her, getting comfortable and then beckoning her closer to him so she can share body heat. )

Come on, relax.

[manipulative]

[ of course, she wanted cuddles! who did he think she was? katherine's glad that he doesn't discourage it, making room for her to slide over and rest her head heavily against his chest. she's sick; she has every right to act like she's made of heavy stuff.

quietly, ] I'm relaxed now.

[ she presses her cheek heavily into his chest and rests her hand against him. ]

You know what would make me feel even better?

( he just...has a hunch she's going to go to that and he laughs. )

[ she pouts, deflating instantly. ]

Why isn't it? How can we change that?

[ it could be the thing that makes her feel ten times better! ]

( so, she's not going to be able to change it. )

[manipulative]

What's sick material then?

[ because katherine thinks a journal is sick material. it'd make her feel ten times better to read it! ]

Maybe we'll watch a movie.

[manipulative]

[ that's so grossly romantic that threatens to turn katherine into very gross goo. ]

An old movie?

[ katherine may sound a little hopeful, even if she'll uncharacteristically fall asleep a quarter of the way through it. she rubs her hand against his chest. ]

That sounds very romantic. It might cure me.

Yeah? You wanna watch something old?

( a classic so to speak. )

[manipulative]

Rear Window. I've had the urge to stalk someone lately.

[ she smiles up at him and taps her fingers against his chest. it's one of her favourites, and she thinks that if she had been the main character, it'd be over within minutes, if not an hour. ]

I think we might need to talk about those urges but —

( the movie was a classic so he can't really blame her. )

Fine, we'll watch Rear Window and encourage your stalking urges.

[manipulative]

There's only one person I want to stalk, Stefan.

[ she peers up at him with a smile, batting her eyelashes. she makes no move to shift away from him. how the movie will play is a mystery that she's sure they'll solve in due time. ]
