BEGINNING OF JANUARY
THE SNAKE DEN
She might be talked into going behind the scenes to get her makeup and hair done, but nothing short of a miracle will get her up on that stage.
For Kylo
If it were warmer she'd wait outside for Kylo, but it's freezing so instead she sits on the arm of her couch, poised so to keep the porgs from deciding on settling in on her and ruining the dress. Most of them are settled down for the night though, so that isn't a problem, more her jangling nerves as she sits and tries not to pick at her fingernails.

A date.
Should he bring her something? He realizes too late that he should've, but he's already outside of her door, one hand behind his back and the other poised to knock. Instead of just barging in.
He taps lightly with his fist, before picking up a steadier pace. Shifting from foot to foot, Kylo gives her all of two seconds to respond before letting himself inside. Stepping over the porgs he might come across on his way in.
"I'm coming in. Are you ready to go?"
no subject
"You're supposed to give me a chance to answer after knocking," she says wryly once she's recovered, though there's little bite behind her words. "I'm ready to go."
no subject
"Your dress. It's very nice."

"I've never paid much attention to clothes. I like the color, though," she looks up at him, a slight smile ghosting her lips. "No wonder you were cold in that."

He clears his throat, adjusting the collar again and brushing off imaginary dust to cover his movements. He has no problem with not wearing a shirt, and has even given the network a show accidental as it was - but he'd rather not head to a party in that way. "I'm only glad they decided to allow me to leave some to the imagination." Kylo says, with the slightest quirk of his mouth.
"Shall we?"

She picks up her coat and pulls it on. It's a motley brown and hardly matches the elegant gown she's wearing, but it's all she has and she's certainly not going outside with her arms exposed.
Once she's bundled she walks back to him, unsure and sure at the same time, excited and a little nervous.
"Let's go," she replies, holding her hand out.
