Who: Frisk and your character.
What: Various things! From early February to when the TDM takes place.
When: Feb - early March
Where: All around.
a) snowfall
( Whether this world is dead or not, it apparently takes far more for a kid to find something to do. While there may have been a place that they explored frequently at home that had more than enough snow to play in, they had spent more time on their adventure and exploring everything they could. While exploring isn't out of the question here, they've been in the Trench long enough to where they know every corner they can reach by heart.
Frisk can be seen not too far from the home that they're staying in, rolling a rather large piece of snow in order to make a snowman. It's lumpy and unimpressive, but they'll work on smoothing out what they can before gathering even more snow together. Beyond that, they'll be making snow angels – which may look rather silly, given the indifferent expression they normally tend to have.
Hey, it's nice to have fun like this. There's been too many difficult things that happened last year. If they hear someone's footsteps approaching them, they'll look up from their work, tilting their head with raised eyebrows.
Did you want to join them? )
b. visions
( Waking up to a serene, yet empty Trench is strange. Somehow, it feels like Frisk is dreaming when they step out of their house and begin to make their way through the now-abandoned city. It's quite easy to be reminded of the times when they had woken up in somewhere new and strange, but it's terrifying in another way entirely.
The Trench that they find themselves in feels empty in another way entirely – as if it's not truly empty at all. As if any sound that could be made now would be deafening to their senses. But, that sense of danger isn't enough to stop Frisk from trying to find someone else who might be out and about. Danger was never something that made them hesitate.
It's only when they find the spirit of Kosh that they stop, looking up to them curiously. )
… Are you okay? ( They ask quietly. Even though this is a spirit, Frisk isn't about to assume that they mean any harm. And even if they did, that isn't something that would stop them from trying to help them all the same – if they need it, that is. )
c. wild growth
( The sight of new plants growing is not something completely unfamiliar to Frisk. After all, they were once a victim of a energy-sapping plant that nearly took their life. It's the reason why they're crouched down at the sight of new plantlife growing, eyeing it cautiously. On one hand, it might be a good idea to try to do something to get rid of any imminent danger to others, on another...
It is spring, isn't it? Perhaps now, much like some of the changes in the past, letting them grow wouldn't be so bad.
It's only when someone else approaches the plant that they stiffen, quickly standing. )
You shouldn't touch them. You could get hurt.

A
But when she's passing by right now, she actually recognizes the activity that Frisk is indulging in. Some of her friends taught her about it only a little while ago, after all, and her eyes grow slightly wider in surprise at the recognition of the snowpeople - and the person working on them.
It makes Chizuru's pace a little quicker as she moves up to Frisk, giving them a faint smile. ]
Are you having fun with those snowpeople..?
no subject
Uh-huh. ( They respond. They straighten then, leaving the half-made snowman be for now. ) Do you want to make one with me?
no subject
[ Now it's especially a good thing that Chizuru learned how to make these so recently.. Or she might have looked really dumb here, she figures, not even knowing how to build a snow person in front of a child..
She'll definitely have to make sure to thank Robby later. ]
What kind of snow person were you wanting to make?
[ .. granted, she may have taken the whole 'you make it look like someone' thing a little too literally from her own lessons.. ]
no subject
( Though, it's her next question that causes them to pause. They weren't really thinking of making the snowperson resemble anyone in particular... But, it could be fun to try to make it resemble someone they know. )
Maybe mine can look like someone from home. How about yours?
no subject
[ Her voice trails off a little, and Chizuru tucks a stray strand of hair away behind her ear. ]
I guess I should make someone from my home too then, huh..? [ It's only fair!!
Besides, she doesn't fully dislike this idea. It may be a little painful to think about the people from back home, but.. on the other hand, she's kind of curious what people were like where Frisk comes from. A child with such great powers..
Chizuru bends down, starting to roll some snow together into a ball. ]
Do you have anyone from your home in mind?

The ears of the raccoon skin cloak he has pulled up over his head flop as the boy steps forward. He looks like he's probably about nine, but only stands about two and a half feet tall. His eyes are wide and friendly as he meets Frisk's gaze with a grin.]
Hi - do you want some help?
no subject
Okay. ( They respond quietly. ) Do you want to help find arms for them?
no subject
Yeah! I can do that. I can look for sticks or something, that should work, right?
[He doesn't wait for an answer, but immediately begins digging around in the snowbank to find them some sticks.]
What's your name, anyway?
no subject
( Frisk walks with him then, searching the ground for something the both of them could use. )
Frisk. ( They answer quietly. ) Are you new here?
no subject
Got one! I bet I got some sea glass or something in my bag we can use for a nose.
I'm Billie. I'm not new or anything, though. I've been here for like... [He has to stop and think about it, and it looks a little bit like he might be trying to count on his fingers, the way he looks down at his hands and wiggles each one.]
A year? I think. What about you?

[He wasn't gonna touch it! He's just looking!]
Setting myself on fire usually handles plant stuff pretty well, though.
no subject
( Wouldn't it be better to set the plants on fire?? )
no subject
[He sets his hand on fire - hot blue fire - right now! Easy!]
I've always been like that.
no subject
Is it because you're a demon?
no subject
[He turns his hand over as he talks, doing a bit of fire tricks.]
You're fine, it doesn't burn people unless I want it to.

Why? What does it do?
no subject
... I was really tired when it happened. I think it could've been really bad if someone didn't help me.
no subject
[And he certainly doesn't want to experience that himself. He'd be afraid of suffocating. He points at the flower.]
Is it just the plants that look like that that do that, or...?
no subject
( It's nothing that Frisk wants to others to take a risk in figuring out. )
A lot of things here seem like they're okay at first.
no subject
[So even if this plant doesn't attach to people's faces, it seems like different ones might pose different danger and he can see why they should be careful.]

☃️ with a little bit of 🌱
[ while katherine had no intentions of leaving the warmth of her house for the chillier air, the moving plants in her backyard had unnerved her enough to prompt her to go and explore. it seemed to be a bit of a stupid thing to do, but katherine needed to confirm if it was just her plants or everyone's plants. (and she might have wanted to visit a store to get a good axe.)
despite having that confirmation ten times over, she still wanted to confirm. perhaps she decided she needed a reason to see frisk other than "i wanted to make sure a plant hadn't eaten you alive". they're friends, good friends, and while katherine's never really needed an excuse to talk to anyone, old habits die very, very slowly. ]
no subject
... Did you come out to enjoy the snow?
( True, there's the problem of plants... But, they've always been one to go with the flow of things, too. )
no subject
[ katherine does think about lying, but she likes to reserve that for the people she dislikes. frisk doesn't fit in that category and never will. ]
I came to see you. I wanted to make sure that you weren't sick and to make sure a plant hadn't eaten you.
[ thankfully, frisk seemed to be free of both fates. thank god. katherine's not quite sure how to reign bloodshed in a town that seems to shift its insides as much as the trench does. ]
It looks like you're feeling very well. That's one of the better snowmen that I've seen in a long time. [ she cocks her head to that snowman. ]
no subject
( They frown heavily at the memory of it before looking to Katherine with raised brows, concerned. )
Did you see someone get hurt?
no subject
[ not yet, at least. katherine keeps her pessimism about her luck to herself, though. frisk doesn't need to worry.
she tilts her head to the side slightly before she gently asks, ] Did you?
