I should be fine.

[He's already straightening up as he says it. Leaning forward in the chair instead of back. Jeep clambers up his shoulders, curling around his neck like a scarf. It's true, though. He does feel better.]

[This was nothing, really, compared to what he's done before. It makes sense this took far less time to recover from.]

Please continue to rest. Do you have a doctor looking in on you?

[ Jeep, you better be looking out for Hakkai!! Make sure he's alright..!! ]

Yeah. [ It's coupled with a small nod of his head. ] Though I'm not sure how to feel about a doctor telling me I survived because I'm a squid person.

[ Daniel tries to say it with some humor, but there's some vague discomfort around the edges of his tone at the same time. It's never really a fun reminder, since it just feels.. weird..

Even if it did save his life this time around. ]

I guess it's a good thing this time.

You could be worse than a squid! I've heard jellyfish don't even possess nervous systems.

[Hakkai that's. That's not comforting. But on the other hand, that's more like himself than before. So clearly he's feeling better.]

Ah, but I suppose it makes eating fried squid more problematic, doesn't it.

I don't think that's the only thing that's become more problematic.

[ Mostly because he still has a hard time wrapping his head around the fact that he isn't exactly human anymore.. especially when Daniel comes from a world where there literally is nothing but humans. All this supernatural stuff is so new and wild to him.

And it's one thing to process other people as being supernatural - something he's used to at this point, mostly - but the fact he is now too?

Too weird. Even if it did save his life.

Still, after Daniel exhales, he smiles a little. ]

You're looking good though. [ Like his usual self, instead of being so pale like when Daniel stopped the other from healing him further. ] I guess I can let you go now without worrying so much.

Then perhaps we should be grateful we've yet to weaponize the use of ink.

[You're not helping, Hakkai. Not everyone has already become accustomed to not being human. Although, does being squid now mean that's all he is? Nothing more? He could live with that, he thinks.]

[Though of course that isn't going to be said out loud. Ever.]

Worrying is indeed stressful. Which I doubt you need at the moment. [He does stand - slowly, carefully. But the room doesn't spin. Everything is perfectly fine. Just as it should be.] And since you prefer not to see the local physicians, do call me if anything changes for the worse.
