Pyrrha chuckles. "People seeing through your gambit or manipulation doesn't mean failure," she points out, "only that they know where to point the finger." Sure, some people are contrarian as a matter of principle, but that only becomes a factor in the manipulation. On and on and on it goes.

Pyrrha thinks back to long nights and longer days. Eventually it was the necromancy show, not cryo. At some points, it was like a bad action movie. "We saw each other too, had close moments. We both knew we'd suffocate without time to breathe, so we gave each other that too. Understanding when we needed which mattered more."
