Luz had known, probably the second or third conversation in, that she was finding more and more she liked about Lexi. She hadn't felt like that for someone other than passing attraction (mostly with muscular girls because DANG) but with Lexi it had been more. Luz knew she'd been into Lexi, it was just a matter of getting the courage to say it.

Luz was absolutely as sentimental as Lexi, if not MORE. That was probably one of the many things that brought them to each other: they could vibe and nerd about things with equal enthusiasm.

This was something Luz had never encountered by absolutely understood why Lexi would feel like she did. Lexi's world sounded like everything was all hormones and gossipy people, all things that Lexi definitely didn't deserve. So Luz knew if they ever DID get to that point, it would have to be gentle and Luz would have to be patient.

The last thing she ever wanted to do was make Lexi feel pressured or feel anything other than safe with her.

"Hmm? I don't know. Maybe sugar and cuddles and kisses?"

Luz blushed, lowering herself into the blanket burrito.

Luz laughed. "Sweetie, you could be in a smock and barefoot, and I would be proud to have you on my arm! Though if you did have a really nice dress, I'd probably just be my light glyph the whole time.

"Oh no, anything but that!"

Luz lifted herself out of the blanket burrito, just for this reason.
