(open) you're looking at me like you don't know who i am
Who: Ange, Ruby, Break, and anyone who knows any of them.
What: Corruption turned Ange into a true Umineko witch who decided the best way to keep the people she loves safe from this town is to drag them into a pocket dimension.
When: For a while in March.
Where: Ange and Ruby's house-turned-small-pocket-dimension.
Content Warnings: Potential violence if anyone acts particularly antagonistic. Potential talk of violence or gore. Other warnings will be added when things pop up.

Perhaps you have seen Ruby's odd network post and decided to check things out. Or maybe you're just wandering around Trench and notice that Ange and Ruby's house suddenly looks.. different.
The house has been completely overgrown by way oversized roses, big thorns growing out of all the stems, completely obscuring the structure that's supposed to be underneath it. If you get close enough to the cluster of roses, you may feel your connection to any of the three people inside suddenly pull you in. (Please note: only people who know either Ange, Ruby or Break will be able to enter the pocket dimension because of this!)
If you give in to the sensation, everything around you might go black, and when the light returns, you seem to find yourself in.. a hedge maze. A rather odd one, though. As you stumble through it, you may suddenly find yourself in random rooms, and then back out of them into the hedge maze once more. The Moss King's wild plants seem to have even invaded corners of this place, so you might want to watch out you avoid having those snap at you. Retracing your steps through the labyrinth feels impossible, like the way is changing up behind you with every step. Some rooms make perfect sense - like a neat and elaborate kitchen, or a library - and others seem to consist of nonsense with stairs leading upside down or to nowhere, or gravity not working in a specific room at all.
Flying throughout the entire maze are golden butterflies. They seem to fly with direction, and if you follow them, you might find them leading you to one of the people you were looking for..

[ Ange mostly seems to be regarding Keith rather calmly. If she's having any adverse reaction to seeing someone she doesn't recognize, even if he's saying that he's a friend of Ruby's, then it doesn't really show up on her face.
Other than - perhaps - in the way she doesn't take her gaze off him, not even for a second.
Her tone when she speaks, however, is also mostly only calm. Maybe even a little detached, like there isn't something personal or human about it anymore. ]
It's a place for us to be safe from external threats.

And you think it'll really work?
no subject
Of course. I'm a witch, after all.
[ Another thing she says like it's just natural. A fact of life. ]
If there is anything here that can rival the Pthumerians in power, it's me. I can keep them out.

[ At least she doesn't sound combatative as she says it - so it seems like Keith is picking his words carefully enough for now. Questioning her actions is sort of on the borderline, but he's falling on the right side of it, considering he isn't directly attacking her plans or insulting them.
Just having questions is.. valid, Ange supposes, though she also feels like she's got an entire world of living proof around her. She even gestures at it with her hand, as if to indicate the world around them. ]
This is the first time I am seeing a world being made separate from the Pthumerians.

[A fair enough assessment. Just because it was the first time he'd seen it didn't mean that someone didn't do it before he got there.]
And Ruby's... she's safe like this?
[Keith didn't know Ange well, but he'd been around Ruby a lot. She seemed happy? But also, not herself at the same time. He wasn't sure about this.]
no subject
It's like Ange doesn't even have to think about the answer. ]
I want to keep Ruby safe more than anyone. I would never let anything happen to her. [ Not again, anyway. The fact that so much kept happening to Ruby over the past few months is exactly the problem in Ange's mind.
This is to keep all of that from happening again. ]

[Which really felt out of character for Ruby, and not something she'd want to be...]

[ Even if the word itself is still a little.. questionable..
But Ange doesn't seem to be thinking about that. Not in her current state, anyway. She says these words so calmly, like they come natural to her. ]
I had to keep her alive using my magic, so she ended up being tied to me. That's why she is calling herself my furniture. It seems she has really taken to liking the title for some reason.

[Keith was worried about Ruby's freedom.]
no subject
.. no, apparently she isn't so worried. ]
I think you're misunderstanding. [ In fact, she's calm enough to just grab her teacup and take a sip. ] Ruby wanted this. You can ask her, if you want. She will tell you the same thing. It was necessary to create our world.

[Keith wasn't sure if he was convinced... but he could tell he wasn't getting anywhere with this.]
Do you mind if I take a look around?
no subject
[ At least Ange does seem relatively unconcerned about that idea. Her answer comes forth pretty easily, anyway, like she didn't have to think about it. ]
Do you want me to show you around? [ Might as well, it's not like she's doing anything in particular right now. ] Or you can look by yourself, if you so desire. Either way, I'm sure that looking around will make you realise there is nothing wrong with this place.
[ Since Keith does seem to be a little bit confused about that from Ange's point of view. ]
