House meeting
Who: Reaper (
no_reload), Fern (
laminae), Luz (
imaglyphwitch), Luca (
schoolingfish), Varian (
droptheious)
What: Disaster House has a meeting
When: Beginning of November
Where: Disaster House in Cassandra
Content Warnings: Will add as they come up.
[Reaper had taken his time with recovery, which left him trapped in his room for a few days. When it seemed that he could get around without having long episodes of shortness of breath, he appeared more downstairs. That's where he happened to be, settled into a chair with the other occupants of the house.
He knew they had questions, knew that most of them would have to do with Lance's outburst on the network. That wasn't the kid's fault; they didn't always control their Omens. And Lance had been circling the drain for years now, barely holding on. Not the kid's fault. For as long as he had known Lance, the kid had been teetering on the edge of a mental crisis.
However, this wasn't about Lance right now. This was about the household where he resided, and many of the youngsters who lived in it. As the eldest, he knew that his position here was the most tenuous.
So Reaper sat quietly, one ankle crossed over his other knee. He remained in comfortable black clothing, and while situations like these usually had him wearing his mask, he had decided against it. Instead, his scarred face was bare, though he kept his hood up to cover most of his white hair. His gloved hands were folded in his lap, thumbs clasping the mask that he would normally wear. Instead, it lightly tapped against his thigh.]
So, I suppose we should call this meeting to order, hmm?

Do adults make you uncomfortable?
[He raised an eyebrow at the bow. She was a strange one. She reminded him of Genji originally bowing everywhere to everyone.]
I don't like boring. If you're boring, we will clearly have to spend time together and give you opportunity to be eccentric.
no subject
And I'm okay with that . . . if you want to teach me.
no subject
No adults? Huh. [How novel.] You're about to have a steep learning curve with them, since there are plenty in this place.
[He had a few that he could introduce her to that would definitely kill to keep her safe.]
If you want to learn, I will teach.
no subject
Okay! . . . So what exactly do I do?
no subject
Wear more black, though I expect you would do well with tulle underskirts. You seem a bit young for make-up so we'll have to come up with something else.
[He wasn't being entirely serious either, though one might not be to able to tell.]
no subject
And I'm not sure how I feel about black . . .
no subject
[She was a long way off from being dramatic, but it was fine.] Do you like lace? Frilly clothing?
no subject
[ god, being a duck is hard. ]
A-And I do though I don't wear it often. We use it for our tutus.
no subject
Hmm, well, you'll be staying here to this weird attempt at a family, so you aren't an orphan as much anymore.
[That's kind of how his Latino family was anyway. Ready and willing to adopt most people.]
Ah, do you perform ballet?
no subject
Mmm, I go to a ballet school.
no subject
I suppose you'll need a bit of a dance studio set up for you to continue that, yes?
no subject
I mean, I'd like that . . . but is it possible?
no subject
Of course it's possible. It's a matter of space, materials and know-how. It will take time, but it will be done.
no subject
You'd do that for me?
no subject
1/2
2/2
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
no subject
Then he patted her gingerly on the head.]
Don't thank me yet. I need to look into what is necessary for a proper floor and where to get mirrors that big.
no subject
Uhm, it's okay if it takes a while. I still really appreciate you doing this for me. Sorry for the hug . . .
no subject
Well... everyone needs a project, right?
[He wasn't a big builder, not for awhile anyway, but he had built enough crap in his younger days and during the war. Couldn't be the hard to pick it up again?]
no subject
[ still she offers a light bow. ]
Thank you again.
no subject
[He stared at her for bowing. That seemed more like a Japanese tradition compare to any other culture he knew.]
Well, you'll be involved. Paint and wood needs to be picked. Design too.
no subject
Oh, I don't know anything about that . . . but I can learn! And help!
no subject
[Honestly, he had no idea what type of wood Trench had. That might be a problem he would have to look into sooner than later. He wasn't about to go about treating his own wood as that would take too long. Hmmm... it was something to focus on.]
no subject
I-I'll do my best! You can count on me!
